Pro peace is pro israel
Peace Now claims that to be pro-peace is to be pro-Israel. But who does Peace Now view to be the bad guys?
About Americans for Peace Now
Americans for Peace Now [APN] was founded in 1981 to support the activities of Shalom Achshav (Peace Now in Israel). APN is the leading United States advocate for peace in the Middle East. APN’s mission is to help Israel and the Shalom Achshav movement to achieve a comprehensive political settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict consistent with Israel’s long-term security needs and its Jewish and democratic values.
Americans for Peace Now wants to derail legislation by Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) imposing strict new limits on U.S. aid, including humanitarian assistance. To do that, the group is supporting quick passage of a non-binding Senate-passed resolution saying only that direct aid to a Hamas-controlled PA should be stopped.
But Americans for Peace Now and other pro-peace groups face formidable opposition. AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobby giant, has thrown its considerable weight behind the tougher Ros-Lehtinen bill, which would also limit official contacts with PA officials when Hamas takes over.
Ha’aretz: “A state held hostage by organized crime”
Unfortunately, the answer to all of these questions is affirmative. In Israel, organized crime exists and it is very powerful indeed. The long reach of its members extends into the halls of government and the workings of the law. They have an ostensibly respectable appearance and a well-organized structure, with godfathers-rabbis and an army of soldiers at their command. They spread great intimidation upon their surroundings and they endanger the well-being and security of the entire society. They are called settlers.

Of course they are correct… what with all of us ’settlers’ building clinics, schools, houses and businesses right in the midst of armed gangs intent on killing us, it’s obvious. It is always easy to identify the obstacles to peace in any given conflict - they’re the ones who won’t surrender to tyranny, murder and threats of murder.
It’s easily understandable where Peace Now is coming from… if only the whole world would just submit to a master mullah, then there wouldn’t be any more war. Very bright people.

Yeah, they’ve been pushing this “pro-peace and pro-Israel” line of baloney since 2001 or so. I think it was Mikey Lerner who dreamed it up.
