The Media’s Terrorist Fan Club in Action

The media’s terrorist fan club has been moving ahead forcefully in pursuit of its objective, which is to serve as a propaganda mouthpiece of Hezbollah and Hamas.

The president of the fan club is, of course, CNN’s Nic Robertson, who last night ran an “exclusive” report from south Beirut, his Hezbollah handler practically holding hands with him, describing how the bad, bad Israelis are targeting nothing but civilians.

The cameras took in an “outraged” terrorist propagandist, identified as a Hezbollah “press officer,” saying, “Look what happened to this building, inhabited by innocent civilians … no military bases, nothing.”

Well, needless to say, Hezbollah wouldn’t say something that wasn’t true? The print version of this CNN-Hezbollah joint propaganda effort put it this way:

Hezbollah officials gave CNN access into the southern suburbs of Beirut — the
area thought to house the organization’s headquarters — to show the damage
inflicted on civilians there. They also wanted to show they do not house
military stockpiles there, CNN’s Nic Robertson reported. Robertson said he could
not confirm the group’s assertions about what was housed in the area.

The broadcast itself left out the last sentence, at least in the version that was broadcast last night. In fact, he seemed to confirm what his handler was telling him, noting that the detritis strewn about was all “civilian” — as if Hezbollah would take this idiot directly to its weapons dumps for all the world to see.

Over at the New York Times, amid the usual gag-inducing coverage we have a report from house terrorism apologist, Hassan “Wrong Man” Fattah, in south Lebanon. Today Fattah pulls off the not-inconsiderable fete of reporting on the UN “peacekeeping” force there without mentioning what it’s most famous for — standing by and watching while three Israeli soldiers were kidnapped.

All in all, a great day for the press corps’ terrorist fan club!

  1. Classic quote from a CNN interviewer (I believe it was Soledad O’Brien) speaking with an American who was shipped to Cyprus: What were conditions like aboard ship? I mean, people were covering themselves with tarps, and it must have been just SCORCHING on that ship, wasn’t it? There was no air conditioning below decks or ANYTHING, right?

    And don’t forget the genius Americans the media chooses to interview, who say things like:

    “Yes, they did charge me, and I’m sending the bill straight to the Israeli government!” — American tourist (CNN)

    “Well, like, there were bombs dropping every night, and I couldn’t sleep.” — American frat boy on why he left Beirut (CBS News)

    To top it all off, American news isn’t American, it’s Al-American– the majority only quote Lebanese/Arabic sources for information, and we all know how stupendously accurate Al-News is…

  2. AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL AMERICAN MEDIA TO START TELLING AMERICANS THE PURE AND UNVARNISHED HISTORICAL TRUTHS IS NOT AN OPPORTUNITY AMERICANS CAN AFFORD TO MISS

    One news report by Nick Robertson does not make CNN a terrorist fan club.

    I watched the piece by Robertson. I am less critical. First of all, he was there to report on the bombing and took with him as a guide a person clearly identified as Hezbollah. Secondly, I recall Robertson did say that it was not possible to see if there were weapons buried under the rubble and in any event Hezbollah had offices in the area.

    I thought I heard him mention also that Hezbollah live and work within civilian areas, the example being a doctor goes to work by day and becomes part of Hezbollah at night.

    Generally speaking, there has been balanced reporting in all media including CNN and in my view most of the reporting casts Israel in a kinder light than usual and much reported or interview content has been pro-Israel.

    Bush’s resolute refusal at the G8 to join the rest of the G8 summit to call for a ceasefire, getting the G8 to issue a joint statement condemining Hamas and hezbollah as having started the war and that Israel has a right to defend itself, Bush’s repeated clear statements that Hezbollah and Hamas is to blame for all this, his referencing Syria and Iran playing roles in the background and his unguarded comment to Tony Blair that Israel would stop when Hezbollah stopped its shit, all have been reported time and again.

    It has been a rather long time since the mood of America has been sympathetic towards Israel and people are being informed via the media as to facts that are not politicized or unduly spun one way or another which often is not so kind to Israel.

    I do think an opportunity does present itself for all American media to raise to Americans’ attention:

    - the historically great sway Arab oil power has had on the geo-political landscape;

    - The historical fact that anti-Semitism, permanently etched in the Arab/Muslim/Palestinian psyche and anti-Semitism in some Western nations, with France and Belguim being prime examples, is a very real force that is behind peace with Israel in the Middle East

    - That historically Arafat, Abbas, the PLO, PA, Fatah, Hamas and all the other terrorist groups including Hezbollah have been consumed with their dreams of destroying Israel and which dream and their efforts to date to see that dream come to fruition, is fueled by the Jew hatred that consumes them and that fills their media day in and day out, week after week, year after year, just as that same Jew hatred spews from the media of Arab nations, even those that America supports with money and calls friend and ally;

    - That historically the Palestinian’s dream of peace with Israel and an independent Palestinian state is not at all the independent state and peace that the now defunct quartet outlined it in their shredded and discarded Roadmap that the Palestinians pretended to agree to;

    - to explain the historical forces of European politics of resentment, jealousies and anti-Americanism;

    - the reasons for the EU’s historical alignment with Arab anti-Israel sentiments;

    - the O.I.C.’s countless annual anti-Israel politicized resolutions at the U.N. supported by many in the EU;

    - the fact that in the U.N. America appears surrounded more by enemies then friends;

    - the perfidy of Kofi Anan and the inability of the U.N. to be anything more than a eunuch on the world stage, citing Rwanda and Darfur as recent examples;

    - the contrariness of China and Russia as they seek to establish influence in the Middle East by aligning against Israel and undermining U.S. efforts to get the U.N. to deal with Iran;

    - other historical issues that acversely affect American foreign policy as regards the Middle East and gets America to dance to the tune of a great many nations, Muslim and non-Muslim that are morally bankrupt;

    - To give Americans an historical cost analysis with a final tally today of the great many billions of dollars Americans have spent out of their own pockets that but for raidcal Islam they would not have had to spend in additional taxes for home security, militia, military, police forces, private security, airport surcharges, business security costs, and the like.

    - To inform Americans of the cost analysis and final tally of the many of billions of dollars Americans have lost in lost and injured American lives and lost American property and the cost of fighting the Islamic terrorists;

    - To inform the Americans of the trillions of dollars of profits the OPEC nations have put in their own pockets out of the pockets of Americans;

    - The historical fact that the OPEC nations, that America has referred to as friends have in fact supported Islamic radicalism and that Islamic radicalism was borne out of the deserts of Saudi Arabia and the Saudis continue to export their version of fundamentalist Islam throughout the world including America which version of Islam breeds more Muslim radicalism within America.

    - etc. etc. etc.

    It is also a time for the the American government with the help of the media to restore pride in America as a world leader and to instill a resolve in all Americans to have the courage to call enemies enemies and treat friends like friends, to not hesitate to destroy Muslim extremists both outside and within America, to stand firm against the moral bankruptcy of so many nations of the world and to stand ready, willing and able to protect, preserve and ensure that American culture and Judeo-Christian values are no longer going to be whittled or compromised away to satisfy some other nation’s agenda that is not in America’s interests or sense of right and wrong.

  3. Asking the media, especially foriegn press, not to give aid to the enemy, is in the realm of impossibility. Most of the press is against Israel’s right of defence and print nothing about attrocities committed by Israel and the US. I am not one to argue against freedom of the press, but I want the press to report on the facts alone. This would require censureship on the part of the US and Israel just as the allies of WWII did during that war. Note that the US has not won a war since they opened up the press to print anything they wished. The press is the current fifth column and should be control because they can turn the masses against justifiable war in a jiffy by expressing not the facts but their opinions. CNN, BBC, French and English media, CBS, NBC are only some of the examples of anti-US and Israel bias. Either control or censure the press or prevent the media’s access to the war zones.

  4. Paula Zaun pisses me off every time I hear her. Yesterday it was her tone that was in my opinion anti-Israeli. Today she has gone much further. While interviewing someone from the Israel Lobby she cut him off when he started talking about the attacks by Hezbollah against Americans. She cut him off saying that was a long time ago. He was not talking about ancient history.
    Her attitude was, the marines killed by Hezbollah didn’t matter because that was soooo long ago.
    The inflection in her voice, the tone and attitude of the questions she asks makes it obvious that she has an anti-Israeli bias.
    I thank all of you for helping me to become more sensitive to this bias. I really never noticed it before.

  5. I do not think that there is any anti-semitism in the mass media reports. You only are being paranoid. Not only because somebody do not think as you think means that he is anti-israeli or anti-semitic. This is kind of a facsist point of view. Or are you saying that being fascist is good? I think what you are talking about is what Hitler did time ago. And this is not a good idea. Leave the press free.
