Canada’s Liberals have said good-bye to the Jewish vote

Call it a snap diagnosis, but I say the camel’s back is broken. Canada’s Liberals will have to do without the Jewish vote next time around.
I don’t mean one won’t find a Jewish voter at the exit poll of the next federal election who will have marked X beside the name of Michael Ignatieff, Bob Rae, Gerard Kennedy, Stephane Dion or whoever ends up leading the Liberal party. I mean he or she will be as rare as a Jewish voter who did not mark X next to the names of Pierre Elliott Trudeau, John Turner, Jean Chretien or even Paul Martin. Continue reading this article »
