Tsafrir Ronen, a man on a mission - to save Israel from itself

I met a man with a mission in Manhattan this past week, an Israeli ex-kibbutznik by the name of Tsafrir Ronen. Ronen, as my friend Avi Goldwasser who met him in Israel described him is a typical kibbutznik: curly haired, open, energetic and optimistic that he can win for all Israel. Another friend, Adina Kutnicki who had met him here in the U.S. enthusiastically said in an email to me that Ronen may be ‘the real deal.’ A man whose vision could’ help Israel from imploding ‘after the disastrous Gush Katif unilateral withdrawal, the botched mini-War against Hezbollah while confronting the existential threat of nuclear annihilation from radical Shia Iranian President Ahmadinejad..
Ronen is not doing this as a politician. Instead he’s doing this as an effective communicator and grass roots activist. Something that resonates with me and others who have met him.
From my Manhattan meeting and conversation with Ronen, I took away a distinct measure of Tsafrir Ronen, the man and his mettle. Continue reading this article »
