The Man MoveOn.org’s Eli Pariser Insulted

General David Petraeus wakes badly wounded soldier from coma
by Bill Levinson

A couple of years ago, MoveOn.org published a defamatory insult that called General David Petraeus “General Betray Us” and said he was at war with the truth. We remind our readers that Barack Obama solicited and accepted the endorsement of Eli Pariser’s anti-Semitic and anti-Catholic hate group. Watch this YouTube video to see the man whom Pariser insulted.

Lieutenant Brian Brennan was maimed by a terrorist’s explosive device, and he suffered a head injury so severe that doctors assumed that he would never recover. General Petraeus came to see the wounded soldier personally, and he did what the doctors could not; he found a way to snap the man out of his coma. The video concluded with Lt. Brennan walking on artificial legs and communicating normally with the people around him. Eli Pariser (aka Eli Parasite) is not fit to lick General Petraeus’ shoes, much less pass any kind of judgment on him.

Senator Gillibrand: Democrats Now the Party of Goldman-Sachs, J.P. Morgan Chase

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) says openly that Wall Street speculators will profit from “climate legislation”
by Bill Levinson

Senator Gillibrand’s own words, from yesterday’s Wall Street Journal, show that the real purpose of Barack Obama’s climate change legislation is to give Wall Street speculators yet another tulip bulb scheme to replace the mess (mortgage backed securities) for which we are still paying with a $750 billion stimulus package, various bailouts at the taxpayers’ expense, and ten percent unemployment.

We encourage our readers to circulate this article, and Senator Gillibrand’s own words, as widely as possible to show that Barack Obama’s cap and trade agenda has very little to do about protecting the environment and everything to do with lining the pockets of fat-cat Wall Street speculators, the same kind that gave us the dot-com bubble and the housing bubble, at the expense of the American people. It is especially important to convey this message to the working people who make up the Democratic Party’s base. We also remind our readers that General Electric, which stands to benefit enormously from cap and trade, raised almost half a million dollars in bundled contributions to elect Barack Obama. BNP are racists and antisemites

By Ted Belman

Yesterday I posted an article by Melanie Phillips dealing with the BNP. A number of us myself included voiced support for them while pinching our noses.

Perhaps we were to quick.

Robin Shepperd, who I very much respect, just wrote BBC gives British fascist party a public drubbing over Holocaust denial but continues to whitewash Holocaust deniers in Mid East

As it turned out, Griffin was in any case subjected to a drubbing by members of the audience, fellow panelists and a moderator who rarely dropped the ball in exposing him to ridicule and shame. Questioned about his Holocaust denial Griffin was reduced to barely coherent mumblings. “I can’t tell you the extent I changed my mind,” he said in an apparent attempt to hide his real views behind fake concerns that he could face prosecution under European law because countries such as Germany make Holocaust denial a crime. Griffin emerged looking like a fool. A job well done by the BBC.

But if only the BBC’s opposition to fascism and Holocaust denial were applied more widely. For when it comes to the Middle East and the wider Islamic world, it is all to often prepared to engage in a whitewash.

Shepherd is very anti-Islamist and always defends Jews.

Two uplifting stories.

By Ted Belman

mirandaLast year in Israel, I chanced upon a pretty, bi-racial, Jewish girl named Miranda. I titled her story Black is Beautiful. The story is beautiful too. There was great interest in the story at the time. Please read it and enjoy.

In that article I made reference to the story of a Jewish woman who married a good black man and then another, when her first husband passed away. Because of the premature passing of her husbands she was left to raise her 12 children in abject poverty. But her indomitable Jewish spirit overcame and most of her children went on to earn PhD’s and have illustrative careers. Her son, James McBride, wrote The Colour of Water to tell her story.

okonedo-sophieNow I have come upon another story of a pretty, bi-racial, Jewish girl, Sophie Okonedo, from London who is an up and coming actress who received an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress for her role in Hotel Rwanda.

Her story is of particular interest because her Jewish mother who was abandoned by her black husband also had to raise this girl in abject poverty.

Okonedo spent her formative years in a dangerous housing project, notorious for drugs and criminal violence. When a government worker paid the family a visit, he asked what they did with all the books in a large bookcase. “Because of course poor people don’t read,” Okonedo said.

Europe has abandoned nationalism for internationalism

By Ted Belman

Javier Solana, no friend of Israel, was interviewed by Haaretz. Solana to Haaretz: New rules of war needed for age of terror . Javier speaks for the EU so his remarks should be of interest.

On the need for new new rules for war, I agree, only I do not limit them to apply to asymmetric warfare.

Perhaps this is why he understands, and even supports, the call of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the need to alter the laws governing international warfare, which are not aligned with the reality in which countries need to combat terrorist entities. Solana chooses not to address the question of war crimes attributed to Israel in the report, but stresses that “in yesterday’s world there were wars of armies against armies and there were laws and conventions that dealt with the conduct of such wars.

Cotler is wrong. Barak is right.

JPOST just posted Cotler: Israel should probe Operation Cast Lead. I wrote to him to tell him he was off base and suggested, instead, that Israel should hold an Inquiry into the UN, the mandate, the Commission and the fact finding.

Lest you think he is too liberal in his views, like Dershowitz, he wrote this in August . The Goldstone Mission – Tainted to the core (II).

The editor informs the reader as follows

In Monday’s article, Prof. Cotler explained how the Goldstone Commission was tainted by the UN Human Rights Council resolution creating its mandate, as well as the predisposed views of some of its personnel. In the second part of his piece, he elaborates the systemic and systematic bias of the UN council itself, and the implications this bias has on the fact-finding mission and on the integrity of international law generally.
