  1. Israel is especially despised for its success and power; its defeat is seen as paving the way for the disappearance of the Jews as a people. Like the failed Russian revolutionaries of the late 1800s, the pro-pogrom Norodniki, who sought to ally with Russia’s notoriously anti-Semitic peasants, today’s left believes that “Jewish blood will oil the wheels of revolution.”

Most Jewish Norodniki left the movement because of its anti-Semitism. Will American Jews leave the Democratic Party when the Obama administration’s betrayal of Israel becomes too obvious to ignore?

The Jewish left is against us and others mostly apathetic but as another thread here said something of historical importance is going down and I might add of Biblical importance as well. I can understand the antipathy of the Jewish left I can understand the apathy of the majority of American Jews but the American Orthodox observant Jews? What’s going on here?

Fwd: WHERE IS AMERICAN JEWRY by Elyakim Haetzni

So why is Agudath Yisroel of America, the Young Israel, the OU and Lubavitch Headquarters silent regarding our rights to the Land of Israel based on the Torah and the Prophets? Where is a massive calling campaign protesting the dismantling of roadblocks in Yesha or against the State of Palestine and protesting the impending incarceration of the Chalamish brothers who believe that they have a right to defend themselves against Arab Aggression especially when the gov’t of Israel has abandoned their security. It has been told to me by insiders that the reason for the silence is NOT because these established organizations are in favor of a Palestinian State G-d forbid. It is simply because they are afraid of jeopardizing their not for profit tax exempt status if they were to speak out against American Foreign Policy. They are afraid their entire organizations would fall apart.

Now let’s assume this is there is truth in this assumption. That explains the Silence on the part of the mainstream Jewish Organizations.

So where do we go from here?

G-d is forcing us to choose our loyalties. Do we put our faith first and foremost on America or on Hakadosh Baruch Hu and His Holy Torah?

  2. I wonder if Barry would apologize to the Islamic world if Iran dropped a nuclear bomb on New York or Washington DC, or gave one to terrorists for that purpose.

  3. The big question is how the Obama administration would react if Iran retaliated against Israel indirectly as well as directly–by making good on its repeated threats to attack U.S. forces in the Middle East and shut down the strategic, 29 mile-wide Strait of Hormuz, through which an estimated 20% of the world’s crude oil is transported by tanker ships. Would the U.S. fight back with real ferocity or respond in a limited way while blaming Israel for preemptively attacking Iran and appealing to “the Muslim world” for “understanding?”

One wonders how the Apologizer-in-Chief would react.

That’s a good question. This is like a deadly poker game. Who’s bluffing? Look at everyone’s options. Israel really has no option, other than putting Iran seriously out of business in a timely manner. If it does so, the Iranians really have no face-saving option outside of taking “revenge” (real or imaginary — in the Moslem world, the two are identical) on US assets near Iran. The US has no sensible option, other than protecting its troops and equipment, and putting a really good media spin on the whole affair.

Those are the probabilities. In war, of course, everyone starts out by ignoring probabilities because everyone thinks they can win. The probabilities usually pan out, but with unimaginably monstrous side-issues arising. The war to come will “probably” be no exception to the rule.
