Here Comes Sarah Barracuda

By Ted Belman

You all know by now that Sarah Palin has announced her intention to resign at end of this month. Most analyst called it a politically incorrect move in the literal sense. i.e it was the wrong thing to do for her career in politics.

Mario Goveia begged to differ and put pen to paper.

Here Comes Sarah Barracuda

Once again, Sarah Palin, who is still a work in progress on the national stage, has confounded her visceral and vicious critics on the left and right, as well as conventional wisdom, by thinking “outside the box” and using simple common sense.

Before she was elected Governor of Alaska, Palin was appointed Chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. There she noticed the corruption by senior politicians and oil company executives and decided she was not going to go along to get along. Not only did she, as a rookie politician, take on these powerful political and business interests, including senior members of her own party, she succeeded in defeating them. This led to her being elected Governor by an overwhelming margin. As Governor, she again defied conventional wisdom by appointing people she considered the most qualified to her cabinet regardless of their party affiliation. With her fiscal policies and advancement of the Alaska gas pipeline, she quickly became the most popular Governor with Alaskans earning the highest approval rating of all 50 state Governors.

The only time John McCain took the lead in last year’s presidential campaign was in the weeks after he chose Palin as his running mate. Then the financial crisis broke and the media falsely blamed it on the Republicans leading to McCain losing to Obama and the country went from the frying pan into the fire.

The US left wing is justifiably terrified of Palin and have begun to realize why she earned the nickname Sarah Barracuda as a high school athlete. Unlike them, she stands as a real-life example of real feminism, not their phony selective feminism based primarily on abortion rights. She stands for Reagan-style conservatism based on low taxes and fiscal discipline and an assertive foreign policy. In other words, she stands against everything the political liberals and their chosen candidate, Barack Obama, stand for.

Now, as a “movement conservative” like Ronald Reagan, whose goal was to promote the objectives of conservative philosophy in addition to governing as a conservative, she has decided that to advance the cause she needs to move on from the day-to-day and time consuming pressures of running a state. Thus she decided not to run for re-election in November of 2010, leading her critics to exclaim that she should have completed the term she was elected to. While this may sound plausible, it really makes no sense.

While most lesser politicians would have run out their term as a lame duck Governor, without any real power to influence and affect policy and taken their paycheck while marking time, this has never been Palin’s style. So, thinking outside the box once again, she decided that she would not waste the state’s time and money as a “lame duck” but turn the Governorship over to her Lieutenant, who has a longer term vested interest in the position. It also gives him the time to organize his campaign for re-election in November 2010, and she is now free to promote the conservatism she believes in.

Don’t expect the left leaning American Obama-media to appreciate any of this. Look for some of the most vicious and speculative coverage of her resignation that can get past the editors in the media plus the typical terrified and scurrilous barrage from the left wing blogs.

So far, Sarah Barracuda has repulsed everything they have thrown at her, and 99.9% of the scurrilous personal ethics violations she was falsely charged with at a legal cost of over $500,000 in legal fees have been dismissed and she has fixed the few administrative oversights that were found.

I expect to see Palin counter the attacks against her with the same success that repelled almost all the false charges against her in Alaska. The liberals had better take note of her furious and relentless verbal barrage against David Letterman which led him to finally put his tail between his legs and to apologize unconditionally without his trademark sardonic sarcasm.

The USA has gone seriously off the rails with the election of Barack Obama.

Let the fight for America’s true soul begin.

I think we should wait until she announces her plans.

  1. Why is it that people find the need to tell other people how to live their lives? Sarah has a very intelligent mind and decided what was best for her and her family. She was crucified, by Democrats and Republicans alike, worse than the gladiators in Rome. Her family comes first to her so she made the hard decision. Once she has control over that, she may or may not return to politics and, if she does, she will blow Democrats away. She is the Conservative type that I would want in government who calls a spade a spade and not sell out her beliefs.

So, you weak livered liberals, smoke that.

  2. She is a true outsider (unlike obama’s pretense of being a different kind of politician), a regular, hard working, uncorrupted, middle class American who the elitist DC establishment despises and is terrified of.

  3. A true conservative - not like the rino, Republican In Name Only crowd, who are quite content to go along to get along and be re-elected and make million$ while the country goes to hell in a handbasket carried by the libs and near-libs. How do we get her teamed up with another true conservative like, say, a John Bolton?

I can see it now - in 2012, the Repubs will run another empty suit and the quite beatable (by then) Prez O
will again be elected. By the end of THAT 8 years, the U S of A will be ready for a true conservative team
to lead the nation into recovery. Remember, Ronald Reagan worked several years building a following and
raising money and making many speeches all across the country in order to get the conservative message through
to the masses. I realize times are different now, but that blueprint will still work, but the RINO’s and
the libs have to fail first, in order to move to a new agenda…

  4. I believe she made the right move. Instead of being stuck up in Alaska and away from the continental USA she will be able to circulate around the country.

It’s pay back time. She is going to light up the conservatives and by golly she is going to let Barak Hussein Obama know what a jerk he is and she will be doing so not as a govenor, but as citiizen Sarah Palin.

A position I am sure Hillary would like to be in so she can voice her objects. Too late Hillary, you took the bait and he took you out of private circulation and handcuffed you in the administration. Ha Ha stupid.

    Let her rip Sarah.

  6. If Sarah Palin is as smart as she seems, she will be bigger than Oprah. Palin does not need political office to wield influence.

If the Republicans want a woman for 2012, they should look to Jenny Sanford (assuming Jodi Rell is retiring).

The only way to change America is to dismantle and reassemble the power elite. You need someone to oppose the fascist economic power elite, not to ignore or help them.

She cost McCain the election. Goodbye and good riddance.

Your problem is you have let MSNBC, NBC, the New York Slime (as Mark Levin refers to it), the Huffington Post do your thinking for you.

Your a real kool-aid drinker and a heavy one at that.

Cost McCain the election, only a mental midget would describe his defeat. Even the experts indicated he was in a slump until Sarah put life in his campaign.

One thing for sure, you exposed your real liberal left leaning attitude by your attack on her.

Why, because you are afraid of her and what she represents.

Keep drinking and Barak Hussein will be proud of you.

You people here that practice partisan politics are the true fools. Both the Republicans and the Democrats serve the fascist American Power elite they are two voices of the same party with the same ultimate agneda.

“liberal left leaning attitude” hah! Ask around. Do a google here on my posts.

Look dead is dead and a cardboard fool is a fool. Thus lies Sarah Palin, dead as a doornob. Her public behaviour is that of a defensive neurotic. She’s about as deep as puddle, you don’t want her thinking too much or she’ll overload.

The Germans wanted a strong leader too. What did they get? Stalin ? Palin? Adolph? Some one-dimensional lunatic in every case. I can go find a coffee waitress with a stronger personality and more leadership qualities. Anybody that’s risen to the top of any American political party is automatically disqualified by reason of corruption. They have been like hillbillies inbreeding. You want to find good talent look at the very bottom. There’s a Ya’alon or a Thatcher done there somewhere working for the minimum wage.

  13. Sarah Palin needs some seasoning, especially in foreign affairs, before she can appeal to the blue state snobs. If I were strategizing with her I would urge her to run for the senate from Alaska and join, if possible, the foreign relations committee. Her courage, knowledge of the energy industry, common sense and winning personality will help her appeal to fellow senators. With some foreign policy background she becomes a force to be dealt with.

  14. Max, you are a total nutjob. The only way there will be concentration camps will be due to your messiah, barack hussein obama, handing the country over to the muslim nazis.

These people only represent their own small group of good old boys and everyone else on the outside is the enemy.Their specialty is scapegoating the weak.

These are adequate descriptions of barack hussein obama. BTW Sarah did NOT cost McCain the election. The only time he led in the polls was when he chose her. She drew greater crowds then him. He lost because he ran a weak campaign, fearful of confronting hussein on his radical beliefs and associates and friends. He was afraid of being called a racist. And the idiot voters who chose this virtually unknown, America-hating, muslim punk over a patriotic naval aviator with years of senate experience.

  15. Everyone here is way off the mark, forget all of that leftwing/right wing stuff.Washington wheeler/dealers are not afraid of Sarah Palin because she is conservative or liberal;they fear her because she is clean. They were forced to attack Palin & her family with nasty & pennyante gossip because they could not find anything really negative to say about her as a politician;she is an outsider & honest & the Washington dirtbags don’t know how to get to her.A little history lesson,J. Edgar Hoover stayed on as head of the FBI for many decades without being forced out.Know how he did it?……Hoover had files on every low life thief in gov’t.,which meant almost everyone in Washington!Any politician who tried to cross him would get terrible vengeance back for their efforts.Forget all this nonsense about conservatives vs. liberals, the country is reduced to the state it now is in because of the filthy crooks,Democrats .& Republican, who sold the country to the central bankers. The question is not about ideology,it is about honest Americans vs. thieves! Most of the Washington political types cannot solve the problem because,as graft takers, they are part of the problem!Palin can be a force for change in America because she is clean, the Washington political types of both parties can’t get to her because she is honest & they have nothing on her, that is why they fear her!

You easily, like so many others, have chosen to believe the propaganda directed against Sarah. But it would never occur to your pea brain that its precisely because she’s smart, competent and represents a threat to the establishment, especially liberals, that she is targeted. If she truly were stupid and a lightweight, would they bother to expend all that energy attacking her? No, because there would be no need to do so.

  17. I would that Sarah was president today instead of Obama. You don’t have to be a Harvard grad to be president. It is the intellectuals who have everything so screwed up.

here is an example of how you need to think the be a good prez:
Step 1. We need oil. Step 2. We have oil. Step 3. Let’s go get the oil we have.

It’s 1.2.3. thinking–Sarah has that. The supporting cast of brains can provide stats, details, and strategies. All we need at the top is some one who can cut the BS and get to the simple bottom line of it all. Sarah does a decent job of that. To hell with being able to pronounce every foreign name correctly or spill out a bunch of facts and nuance that serve only to cloud things and digress from the simple truth. Way to much weight is given in politics to being an intellectual insider.

  18. Max, you are a total nutjob. The only way there will be concentration camps will be due to your messiah, barack Hussein Obama, handing the country over to the Muslim Nazis.

If I’m a nutjob Laura, you ought to take a look at the people in charge of your life. Face the real oppressors for a change, it takes more courage.

There are already concentration camps in several forms. One form is the corporate running of prisons in which the prisoners are coerced into being corporate labour. Another is the current formation of large homeless parks and tent cities where people and families live day to day disposed and used as slave temporary labour scrounging for food and work. The ghetto is created, the wire will come later.

Already Americans wear ankle bracelets to monitor their blood chemistry and their medications and others voluntarily implant RFIDS in their arms for identification.

No young person alive today has a future of peace, prosperity and freedom. Perhaps only the Uncle Toms and the elite will have these things. The rest of you will get misery or death or both. You only have the choice how you will accept your fate.

There will be concentration camps whether you have Republicans or Democrats unless you stop the elites from taking absolute power. No effective force or organization is trying to stop them. Their triumph is inevitable. The Sarah Palins, the Obamas will all help them as they are groomed and exist for the purpose of serving the same elites regardless of party affiliation.

The Muslim Nazis will probably kill everybody, but i think it’s a flip of the coin which group will kill us and which will enslave us the Muslims Nazis or the Elite Nazis.

max, you suck. You are a brainless fool, believing what the mass media tells idiots like you to believe.

That’s very weird! Almost everything I know is suppressed and obfuscated by the mass media. What world are you living in? That’s your partisan politicians working against your common sense. There is a reality beyond Democrats and Republicans.

Yeah, I know I “suck”, I suck a lot of dirt. I’ve had the jackboot of Canadian Fascists on my head all my life. But unlike most of my compatriots I am aware I am sucking and I am aware the Jackboot is there.

I repeat. You people that practice partisan politics are extremely foolish and one dimensional. You just don’t get it, There is a reality beyond the cardboard supporting of vacuous party lines.

Sarah was not good enough as a running mate for McCain. He may have already lost but she was not good enough to help him win it and if that’s the best they got in the barrel, they got a rotten barrel. Being a hawk is not enough, a person has to also demonstrate compassion and a reserved inner depth that has a capability to be patient, absorb all experiences and make executive decisions. She does not have these personal qualities in my opinion.

I don’t’ watch the MSM hardly at all. In fact I have no idea if the media is attacking Sarah. If I want news I search it on the Internet and I research topics in depth that I select I don’t let others select my topics of concern.

However, I’ve seen Sarah in on enough talk show interviews get a good picture of her post-election, she is shallow, heartless, no compassion for human being , is neurotic and shows no leadership qualities. When do you think is the last time she read a book of any intellectual depth? She is a cement overshoe on the foot of any Party. I’m sure she appeals to Redneck types who enjoy scapegoating minorities, Will Jews ever learn their lessons? There are 350 million Americans for God sakes, find someone with some intelligence. Just because you think she’s pro-Israel is not good enough reason to overlook who she actually is, In fact you put a bad label and a target on anybody and she’ll shoot at them, she has no discriminatory values.

I support Bush I and II and both Iraq Wars, The hanging of Saddam and the absolute and immediate extermination of Hamas and Hezbollah.

I’m on Israel’s side, Get it? Disliking Sarah does not make me an Obama-Muslin-MSM puppet. That’s a dumb conclusion. Sarah is a useless wet noodle broken leg. Listening to her, she disgusts me. What does a person like that know of Oppression, Misery, Terror, Murder, Pain and Suffering? Absolutely nothing, those are abstract manipulatory ideas to her. Look at her complaining about a talk show host and what the other people did to her! That’s petty. A strong leader sucks it up, ignores it and and stays on track. Find a real heroine!

I think unfortunately the American Public needs to see how badly leftist-Obama politics will fail. I just hope they don’t fail too spectacularly. Unfortunately by the time Americans realize they have failed they will be too busy in their collapse fighting Eskimo Insurgents in Alaska or something like that, to be able to remember or care how they got there.
The real and most serious tragedy is that despite the lunatic and obfuscating cries of “Socialism!”, Obama, like the Republicans will assist the accelerating economic fascism of the elites. This means another shift of 5 to 10 percent of the wealth and power to the elites behind the scenes done invisibly under the obfuscation of the media. There is not too much left of 100 percent to slice and dice.
I doubt if any youth today have a future as prosperous free and safe humans. Their final choice will be between suicide and slavery if they are lucky enough to get the choice. You can only decide with what attitude you will face your coming oblivion.

I know nothing at all about her family and don’t care.

She’s gone. She was not having fun as Governor, read it and you’ll see. Maybe she did the right thing. If people were just going to make her life miserable and her ruin her effectiveness (in her eyes) then she was right to anticipate the misery and get out. Odds are ripe it’s the end. At this point nothing is worth arguing or speculating.
It’s possible that running for the VP ruined her career as Gov, strange as that may seem.
