THE SOURCE OF OBAMA’S ANTI-ISRAEL POLICY

by Bishop E W Jackson Sr (United States), Jun 29, 2009 at 11:25

Like Obama, I am a graduate of Harvard Law School. I too have Muslims in my family. I am black, and I was once a leftist Democrat. Since our backgrounds are somewhat similar, I perceive something in Obama’s policy toward Israel which people without that background may not see. All my life I have witnessed a strain of anti-Semitism in the black community. It has been fueled by the rise of the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan, but it predates that organization.

We heard it in Jesse Jackson’s “HYMIE town” remark years ago during his presidential campaign. We heard it most recently in Jeremiah Wright’s remark about “them Jews” not allowing Obama to speak with him. I hear it from my own Muslim family members who see the problem in the Middle East as a “Jew” problem.

Growing up in a small, predominantly black urban community in Pennsylvania, I heard the comments about Jewish shop owners. They were “greedy cheaters” who could not be trusted, according to my family and others in the neighborhood. I was too young to understand what it means to be Jewish, or know that I was hearing anti-Semitism. These people seemed nice enough to me, but others said they were “evil”. Sadly, this bigotry has yet to be eradicated from the black community.

In Chicago, the anti-Jewish sentiment among black people is even more pronounced because of the direct influence of Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam. Most African Americans are not followers of “The Nation”, but many have a quiet respect for its leader because, they say, “he speaks the truth” and “stands up for the black man”. What they mean of course is that he viciously attacks the perceived “enemies” of the black community white people and Jews. Even some self-described Christians buy into his demagoguery.

The question is whether Obama, given his Muslim roots and experience in Farrakhan’s Chicago, shares this antipathy for Israel and Jewish people. Is there any evidence that he does. First, the President was taught for twenty years by a virulent anti-Semite, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. In the black community it is called “sitting under”. You don’t merely attend a church, you “sit under” a Pastor to be taught and mentored by him. Obama “sat under” Wright for a very long time. He was comfortable enough with Farrakhan Wright’s friend to attend and help organize his “Million Man March”. I was on C-Span the morning of the march arguing that we must never legitimize a racist and anti-Semite, no matter what “good” he claims to be doing. Yet a future President was in the crowd giving Farrakhan his enthusiastic support.

The classic left wing view is that Israel is the oppressive occupier, and the Palestinians are Israel’s victims. Obama is clearly sympathetic to this view. In speaking to the “Muslim World,” he did not address the widespread Islamic hatred of Jews. Instead he attacked Israel over the growth of West Bank settlements. Surely he knows that settlements are not the crux of the problem. The absolute refusal of the Palestinians to accept Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state is the insurmountable obstacle. That’s where the pressure needs to be placed, but this President sees it differently. He also made the preposterous comparison of the Holocaust to Palestinian “dislocation”.

Obama clearly has Muslim sensibilities. He sees the world and Israel from a Muslim perspective. His construct of “The Muslim World” is unique in modern diplomacy. It is said that only The Muslim Brotherhood and other radical elements of the religion use that concept. It is a call to unify Muslims around the world. It is rather odd to hear an American President use it. In doing so he reveals more about his thinking than he intends. The dramatic policy reversal of joining the unrelentingly ant-Semitic, anti-Israel and pro-Islamic UN Human Rights Council is in keeping with the President’s truest albeit undeclared sensibilities.

Those who are paying attention and thinking about these issues do not find it unreasonable to consider that President Obama is influenced by a strain of anti-Semitism picked up from the black community, his leftist friends and colleagues, his Muslim associations and his long period of mentorship under Jeremiah Wright. If this conclusion is accurate, Israel has some dark days ahead. For the first time in her history, she may find the President of the United States siding with her enemies. Those who believe as I do that Israel must be protected had better be ready for the fight. We are.

NEVER AGAIN!

Obama is making demands on Israel that are flat-out Hitlerian: He is demanding that Jews, who were expelled en masse from Arab country after Arab country, be expelled from their only country of refuge, namely Israel. If anyone has trouble understanding this, just ask the 10,000 expelees from Gush Katif — a mere token of the some 400,000 Jews Obama plans to expel from Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. I am not a lawyer, so I don’t know whether or not these can be described as “war crimes”; but in a world where one truly good man after another is being called on the docket for “war crimes”, while flat-out atrocities — like the targeting of schoolchildren by Palestinian Arab assasins — goes on unabated, I frankly don’t care any more what international law has to say on the matter: Obama is instigating and supporting a heinous evil. He is a wicked man, through and through. Black? White? He’s simply evil.

Perhaps he’s not thorughly wicked. Maybe I could get through to him with, say, a letter. Of course, Mr. Obama is a busy man, so his mail must be screened by… well, by his front man, Rahm Emanuel. The truly sickening thing about all this, is that even if Obama could be otherwise reached and persuaded against his wickedness, he has a JEW at his side to make sure this never happens — a Jew, in fact, who is probably one of the very ones who have persuaded the President to attack the Jews in Israel.

So, what does it matter that Obama is racist and anti-Semitic? He is surrounded by Semites who are more anti-Semitic than he is!

You know, America has a lot of wicked people in it; and one might be tempted to think that the US is being judged by God, having to suffer a President like BO. Whenever I’m tempted to think this way, though, I remember that if my country is in bad spiritual shape, the rest of the world is in absolute darkness. I also remember that evil can’t happen to America, without the whole rest of the world going into a tailspin. We certainly have plenty to be judged for, and Mr. Obama is just the beginning of sorrows for my homeland; but I really pity the rest of the world, including Israel. Obama may well be the “President of the World” that he fancies himself, and that perhaps millions around the world think he is.

    God help us.

Obama is worse than evil. But Israelis must take responsibility for themselves. It is bad when someone shits all over on you-but even worse is to allow the shitting to continue for decades. The governments past and present were and are weak, corrupt and degenerate. Rape, fraud and general malfeasance is what prevails. We have traitors running the show, but that will change, and the sooner the better.

A question to “Israel Lives”? You always seem to speak in generalities. You complain about the Israel government. Who would you suggest to be PM?

There is no one on the horizon that would stand up to the U.S.- The knesset is full oft cowards and traitors. A real change will take place through non conventional, non electoral means. A cannot go beyond that.

  6. Ed D says:

Israel Lives, I stood up for Israel on the Golan as a sniper in ’73 and, if I were younger I would do it again. Most friends of Israel are friends of mine but, if you are not a friend of Israel, don’t get in my way.

Ed D: and I am the queen of Rumania. You might have done your fighting on the Golan or the pool halls of

Brooklyn. Frankly, I wouldn’t know and I don’t care. My interest in you extends to the kind of interest that

I have for that little roach that I occasionally see crawling on my bathroom floor. I am only interested in

your opinions, ideas, arguments to clash with or discuss in some sort of rational manner. Personally you are

a nonentity, it is only your digital presence that I am experiencing. You too should stop your probing-we are

not about to engage in a bout of extreme combat.

roach? bathroom floor? sounds like a filthy dirty place try cleaning helps with the roaches.

I am only interested inyour opinions,

no your not, just your own. By the way so far you have done a lousy job of expressing opinion. ranting and raving with much euphemisms and lack of specificity but very little in the way of opinion not to mention rationality, to which there seems to be a lack.

ideas, arguments to clash with or discuss in some sort of rational manner.

light on ideas much argument for the sake of argument but no substance, little or no detail or specificity much aggressive rhetoric with no foundation.

    Personally you area nonentity,

I disagree Ed has been posting here for a long time and we consider him an entity. Nice guy as well. It seems to me due to your brief time here on Israpundit, that if there is a non entity here it is you.

it is only your digital presence that I am experiencing.

Watch out for digital viruses and especially Trojan Horses, you can never tell when and what the digital playthings can reek havoc with with your brain, oops I meant hard drive!

You too should stop your probing-we are not about to engage in a bout of extreme combat.

Lucky for you Ed even in his advanced years could in all probability wipe the floor with you. Queen of Romania! Shall we call you Queenie? Know what I mean?

thanks for posting. i think i like this guy, bishop e.w. jackson. i hope he writes more about antisemitism in america’s black community and how obama reflects it.

one question biship: where do you stand on the missionary problem in israel and america? for me to say i definitely like you, you have to be firmly against this.

thanks for posting this. we need more of this: exposing the true hate of obomba.

    merits repeating:

This is not a social network. My personality or intentions have no relevance here. If you are interested in a clubby friendly site where you may banter and chat, try facebook. The purpose of Israpundit is an exchange of ideas, discussion and arguments. not to make friends. I try to think of you as a series of 1’s and o’s -purely a digital exchange. I don’t know you and you don’t me. Our egos don’t count. we argue, debate purely on the basis of the ideas presented, not who we are. I might be a muslim, communist, fascist or chasid. It does not matter. Name calling is useless since we really have no idea who the other party is.No one should be offended by what is written. I might be Peskin,or a serial killer or a saint. It simply does not matter. There should not be any expulsions or bannings since by doing so the director of the site admits that the expelled party has presented arguments that are beyond rebuttal. And since nicknames are quite acceptable the expellee can easily resurface under another name. And that would be perfectly acceptable on the basis of anonymous communication. Here there is no question of misrepresentation or fraud-no money is being exchanged, no promises of marriage or anything remotely involving commercial transactions. It is surprising to me that Belman has not considered what a political blog is all about.

    yamit asks
You still haven’t addressed direct questions to you and the above histrionics are no substitute for answers to questions within and on topic, based on your own comments

    reply
Understand that I have the option of responding or not. There is no obligation to reply if I feel the question does not merit a response. And that would apply if the situation was reversed, and I was doing the questioning.

Now can we refrain from playing the silly game of figuring out if Israel lives is really peskin in desguise?.

  11. scorpio says:

From time to time we hear from the inside of the African-American community and the news is not good. Even though Bishop Jackson appears to be a good man and there must be some good men here and there, the Farrakhans, the Jacksons and the Sharptons continue on doing their harm and, instead of being shunned, they are welcomed in all the “polite” circles where their opinions are courted.
Of course, BO comes from that melieu and his attitudes affected by these influences are not a surprise. It’s his attraction to so many Jews who have ignored everything about him and rushed to be at the head of the line. I’ve heard all the explanations, but I think the problem is more psychological than intellectual. There’s something quite pathological in the Jewish psyche that forces it to subjugate its own interests.
The Hof Juden, Axelrod and Emmanuel may be, in fact, the prime examples.

  12. yamit82 says:

who do you mean by the use of pronoun WE? is all I asked? Whether you are or aren’t Peskin is up to Ted to determine and there are technical means if he chooses to pursue them. Yo can post and respond or not but how you engage, and the manner of your responses or non responses can in some cases go to the credibility of any commenter posting here.

So far with you it doesn’t look very promising, But I will keep an open mind with you “Queen of Romania”? Queen of Mamaliga, seems to be more appropriate title for you.

Yes, there is Moshe Feiglin who started Manhigut Yehudit (with Shmuel Sackett). Unfortunatly, he’s been kept out by political hacks (need I name names?) who used the courts to shut him out. But they can’t shut him up. http://www.jewishisrael.org
