What a fiasco, for Obama, that is.

By Ted Belman

First Obama demands a settlement freeze. This encouraged Abbas to reject negotiations until Netanyahu agreed. Then there was pressure on Obama to be even handed so he agreed to get normalization concessions from Saudi Arabia et al. They turned him down flat. Thus he could no longer demand a freeze from Israel.

Then the Goldstone Report was released and Obama said he would prevent it from getting to the UN for adoption. He changed this position within 24 hours.

Abbas then announces that he is withdrawing his motion to have the Report adopted and all hell breaks loose. He did we are told because Obama forced him too. But apparently the political cost he will pay is too high for him to bear. So now he has reversed himself and called for an investigation of who nixed the motion. He is also presenting himself as the protector of Jerusalem. But nobody is buying.

Hamas has been greatly strengthened by all this. Abbas is looking to the Arabs more and more like an American puppet. All the work and money the US and Europe has invested in building up the “moderate” Abbas is now wasted.

The deal that Egypt brokered between Hamas and Abbas is now floundering. Hamas has backed away from it. It looks more and more likely that in the upcoming PA elections, Hamas will be the winner.

Khaled Abu Toameh reports all in How Goldstone may have doomed Abbas

Apparently the Goldstone Report has a silver lining. It has killed the peace process.

Obama is looking weaker than ever and Netanyahu is coming up smelling like roses.

one of them spoke english and said they were Palestinians and they couldn’t get over how much I looked like their late father who had passed away not too long ago. Thinking about this the other day I thought to myslef, you better not get any idea about visiting Israel if you resemble an Arab.

Especially if those two Palestinians were Mohammad and Yosuf Arafat.

Then again, the Israelis bent over repeatedly for Arafat.

Hell, ron, you might even win the Nobel Peace Prize.

And I visualized you as being a dead ringer for Sidney Poitier.

Sidney Poitier I ain’t. more like Yul Brynner. My granddaughters tell me I have a little hair on the side and I keep it so short you would think I was bald. Listen for a guy who takes at least two showers a day there is no need for a hair dryer. My oldest son 40, has just slightly more than me while my youngest 38 shaves his completely. When he was in college at one point he had hair almost down to his shoulders, by the time he finished college it was back to normal then he decided it was too much trouble running to the barber shop and the rest is history. I keep telling these guys, where did I go wrong? When I came to the fork in the road I took it. Oh well.

Now you pose as a Prophet of Doom? Are you privy to some insider information?

No, Yamit — I am simply stating, as Bill Narvey notes concerning Jesus, the obvious.

    Yul Brynner was muy caliente.

Ayn, more research for me. When G-d said brains, I thought He said trains and I got out of the way.

I guess when I came to the fork in the road I took it. Or, better still Yogi talking about the shadows out in left field as the sun goes down “it gets late out there early”

What about “You should always go to other people’s funerals, otherwise, they won’t come to yours”. You have to love Yogi.

What about the While House cutting FOX News. Oh boy the truth hurts. Just take a look at the cable ratings and FOX is so far out ahead of any other network.

Glenn Beck is almost at 3,000,000 unheard of at the 5:00 PM Eastern Time and this is not prime time.

He continues to expose the various Obama connections. There are more than boogie men in those Obama closets.

You wrote something that bothered me last night as I lay staring catatonically at the ceiling, something about you being reluctant to give an opinion because you are an “outsider” on this site.

I don’t perceive insiders and outsiders, but as a Gentile you certainly are no more of an “outsider” than yamit or me or anyone else. You are just as qualified to comment on Israeli or Jewish topics as are the members of the tribe.

    That is my strong conviction.

I am confident/positive Great Grandfather feels the same.

I guess your right. Since I am not Jewish or live in Israel and to be honest don’t quite understand how the government functions I am not sure other appreciate my comments.

However, I do see so much injustice going on with the Jewish people and Israel, and if I see it, you have know the rest of the world see it. It’s not space science.

Anti-Semitism has been around too long and needs to be put to death. We need to stop blaming others or minorities for our own failures. The blame game needs to stop.

Israel, one of the smallest democracies is the target of every Arab terrorist organization along with Arab countries and worst of all our own administration is on the same band wagon. We have always been known to support our trusted friends and allies, the so called good guys. Israel fits this description so why arn’t we in her corner?

Jerusalem cannot be a divided city. Israel has to take complete control of Jerusalem and the Holy Sites regardles what other countries think.

You really have to feel for the Israel, the good guys.

I appreciate your comments, so humor me and keep making them.

Ron, Ilove the show, but Susie Essman was on a talk show (either The View or Ellen) and came off sounding like a typical American Jew Leftie.

  10. rongrand says:

    Susie Essman

tov, she is funny. What we like is she put fear in to both Larry and Jeff. They avoid crossing her, like they are walking on eggs shells.
Larry is the type who digs himself in a situation and in attempting to get out digs himself deeper and can’t win for trying.

Like Sienfield, it’s the combination of all the characters, not just one.

We got hooked and would several episodes any given night.

One of the best series was when Larry wanted to do something good for the families of New Orleans and took in the Black family (who were black) and it was a riot.
