HIJACKING AMERICAN HEALTH CARE

We are now all familiar with the growing list of falsehoods that got people to vote for Barack Obama last year - from his denial of his long term relationships with Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, ACORN and others too numerous to mention, to his promises to end partisanship, racial considerations and earmarks, to his promises of running a transparent administration.
All patently false, and deliberately so, as we now know from his actions, mostly covered up or deflected or diluted by a compliant mainstream media.
Here is one of his more infamous quotes which show what a cynical politician he is - just as Rev. Wright warned everyone during his speech last year at the National Press Club, that Obama would say anything to get elected.
“I’m going to have all the negotiations around a big table. We’ll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies.” — Barack Obama, August, 2008
As we now know, with Barack Obama’s acquiescence, about three Senators led by Sen. Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada, are trying to craft IN SECRET, the hijacking of 20% of the American economy by the government, and hoping to get away with it. Obama himself and his personal political assassins, Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod and Maoist Anita Dunn are all out there hurling verbal rocks at anyone who dissents from this grand attempt.
Just like with the non-stimulating stimulus plan which was passed without a single legislator not involved in drafting the bill reading it, and we then found out it was not designed to create private sector jobs, only to grow local, state and the federal government, the draft of Sen. Reid’s health care bill will not even be made public before he springs it on the Senate for a vote. Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson must be spinning in their graves.
Thankfully, Sen. Joe Lieberman, Independant of Connecticut, and Sen. Olympis Snowe, Republican of Maine, have come out against a government run insurance option if included in the bill, which will make it more difficult for the Obama-Pelosi-Reid health-care-Axis-of- Evil.
If all Americans are not inundating their representatives and senators with their opinions at either www.house.gov or www.senate.gov then they deserve the economic chaos that will ensue.
All we have to do is to look at the health care messes in Canada and Britain, which have been around for decades, and just like any government run program anywhere in the world, are only getting worse.
The incoming President of the Canadian Medical Association said recently that their system was “imploding” and most Canadians didn’t even know it. The past president said that ONE MILLION Canadians were on waiting lists for surgery and another MILLION on waiting lists to see a surgeon so they could get on a waiting list for surgery. FIVE MILLION Canadians do not have access to a primary care physician out of a population of 34 million. No wonder their system costs less than ours and it’s still IMPLODING.
In British Columbia 40% of the provincial budget is health care - headed to 90% if no changes are made.
In the US it would be far cheaper if we all chipped in and simply bought health insurance for the 15 to 20 million hard core uninsurables through no fault of their own. Along with tort reform, which no Democrat is even considering due to financial pressure from the trial lawyers, and deregulating private health insurance companies so they can compete nationally, our problems would be solved.
But solving the problem is not what the Democrats want. Statism is their goal.
Let me share an insight I gained growing up under socialism in India. Government bureaucrats have no incentive to solve any societal problems. If they did they would put themselves out of business. Their personal career advancement comes from growing the problems and then demanding more resources to solve the problems that they allowed to happen.
Thomas Sowell once said that helping the poor through government programs was like feeding pigs through a horse.
Think about it and compare it with your own experience with most, if not all, government run programs.
[...] might look at it and say, ‘Gosh, there’s the old boys club again.’” Well done, Savannah. Statism is their goal. - israpundit.com 10/28/2009 HIJACKING AMERICAN HEALTH CARE By Mario Goveia We are now all familiar [...]
