Shdema is inextricably bound up with Jerusalem’s expansion.

[..] We wouldn’t have come to this ludicrous situation, had all Israeli governments, since 1967, firmly declared that: We Jews have returned home, to our G-d given Biblical Homeland. We Jews do not differentiate either between Gilo, Yitzhar, Bet el, Kiryat Arba Hevron, Herzliya, Raanana, Haifa, Ofra, Shdema, Gush Etzion and Tel Aviv. They are all parts of the Land of Israel and belong solely to the Jewish people.

We cannot be surprised by the world’s position about Gilo when, over the years, especially since the infamous Oslo agreements, Israeli governments have unfortunately shown willingness to give away parts of our homeland. There is not one other nation in the world willing to give away parts of their country. The moment you show a willingness to give away something, you show weakness and you pass on a message that you don’t consider it to be yours.

It is not too late. Now is the time to put things straight and tell the world once and for all:

The Jewish People have returned home to the Land of Israel. This is our Land and we will settle it, build it and expand in all parts of the Land of Israel, including Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the Golan Heights. In addition, we fervently await the day we will go back to Gush Katif and reclaim what always has been rightfully ours.

Women in Green would like to thank New York Assemblyman Dov Hikind and his delegation for coming to Israel in general, and to Shdema in particular, to make a strong statement as to our G-d given right to the Land of Israel. Below please find a summary of Hikind’s visit to Shdema:

Dov Hikind, New York Assemblyman, during his visit to Shdema on Tuesday, November 17th:

“I promise to protest against the American financing by USAID, that is financing the illegal Arab construction at the foot of Shdema with our taxes.”

“Our delegation, that came to Israel from the United States, is joining those who are fighting for the hills of Eretz Israel, they have our sympathy and support. The visit to Shdema strengthened and sharpened in us the feeling that the emphasis must be on settlement in Eretz Israel.”

The members of the Committee for a Jewish Shdema delivered an unequivocal message: Shdema is inextricably bound up with Jerusalem’s expansion.

Jerusalem and the Har Homa neighborhood were represented by Avraham Azoulay, the editor and publisher of the Le Petit Hebdo French weekly. He said:

“Har Homa must expand. The direction must be southeasterly, to link up with Shdema and create Jewish settlement continuity between Har Homa and eastern Gush Etzion. If we do not create a continuity, the Arabs will create a continuity of their own and strangle Jerusalem’s development.”

The representatives of the Committee for Jewish Shdema and Women in Green welcomed Dov Hikind and his delegation, and screened for them the film that shows the struggle for Shdema and the struggle against the European and American bodies that are aiding the Arabs to take control of the lands of Eretz Israel.

The evening ended with the moving ceremony of planting an olive tree in Shdema, in the area of the Eretz Israel cultural center. The olive symbolizes Eretz Israel. The pressing of the fruit produces the oil that illuminated, and will illuminate, the Temple on the Temple Mount.

Hikind addressed the dozens of participants and said: “We are thankful to the Committee for Jewish Shdema and Women in Green, who are conducting a resolute struggle here.” The ceremony was most moving. Dov Hikind and the delegation members promised to protest against the American financing by USAID, that is financing the illegal Arab construction at the foot of Shdema.
