Obama Campaign Censors Own Site Administrator’s “Israel Lobby” Quote

Obama site moderator also calls pro-Clinton group “virulent”
by Bill Levinson

We are no longer talking about the Obama campaign’s tolerance of user-generated hate speech at My.BarackObama.com, which is reprehensible enough. We are now talking about official statements from the official campaign staffers who moderate and administer the site.

We reported previously that Emily, an Obama campaign staffer who moderates My.BarackObama.com, counseled a user to use “Israel Lobby” instead of “Jewish Lobby.” The Obama campaign apparently felt that it had to delete a verbatim quote from one of its own staffers after it appeared here and elsewhere. A screen shot of the posting appears below.

The posting is still available here:

Recently, I posted a blog where I had posted the First Read’s MSN Article: World Blog: Obama’s AIPAC speech riles Palestinians (Source Link: http://worldblog.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/06/05/1117964.aspx), under the title.

Today, I got the following email:

    Hi [EMK],

Thank you so much for your involvement in the My.BarackObama online community. Your voice is valued here; however, we were forced to remove your recent blog post that referred to the “Jewish lobby.” Please use the more specific and accurate term “Israel lobby.” We appreciate your understanding and hope that you continue to be active in our online community.

I don’t remember my personal quotes referring to AIPAC as a “Jewish lobby,” and I agree, AIPAC is an “Israel” lobby, but the offending quote was actually part of the article, not my words. I can’t help it if someone’s quotes within the article uses offensive language!

As of today, the entire Web page, including other participants’ comments, has been removed. The advice to say “Israel Lobby” instead of “Jewish Lobby” did not come from some outside third party, it came from an official member of the Obama campaign with the authority to moderate and administer Obama’s Web site. The Obama campaign apparently had to cover up this latest “problem” by “disappearing” an entire Web page along with the comments of several innocent users.

On another note, Obama’s moderators have made it eminently clear that they censor material not for “offensive” or “disrespectful” content, but for criticisms of Obama.

Thank you so much for your involvement in the My.BarackObama.com

were forced to remove your recent blog due to the fact that it
contained an email from a virulent anti-Obama political action group
    .
While we respect all aspects of respectable political discourse and
debate on our site, organizational calls from other groups are not
    allowed.

Well, thanks to Ryan at Obama for America, we can now tell PUMA that Obama’s purveyors of party unity regard PUMA as a “virulent” organization.

Okay. Instead of calling him “Obama” perhaps we should call him: “OH-BOMB-AMERICA!” Better yet, let’s just call him: “OSAMA II” or “Buraq Saddam Hussein Osama!” No, perhaps we should call Obama “Oh’banana!” Well, instead of calling Obama “black” or “N” word, or “African American,” or, “African”, or, “White Underneath,” perhaps we should just place Obama’s image in the missing link section of the Evolutionary Chart, you know, the religious belief of all democrats who are convinced that there is no creator and that they are all ‘evolved’ from lower forms of life, namely, amoebaes, monkeys, and whatever other primitive apparation they feel comfortable with, which has no historical or scientific evidence whatsoever.

But I do agree with the post that anyone Jewish who loves and supports Israel should be named: ISRAELI LOBBY. I am an Israeli lobbyist, even though I’m Italian, Russian, German, Irish, English, Swedish, Austrian, and ALL AMERICAN! Most of the Bible came from ISRAELI PROPPHETS and SCHOLARS, so I have no problems with the reality that without THE LAND OF ISRAEL as defined by the Torah, being Jewish doesn’t really mean a whole lot. JEW comes from JUDEA/JUDAH and all Israelis take pride in this historical fact. Then again, there is nothing wrong with calling Israeli supporters a “Jewish Lobby”, as if it’s wrong to call them a Jewish Lobby. It’s really kind of just a redundant statement, because to be a JEW means JUDAH/JUDEAN, therefore, Israeli to begin with. So the moderator is kind of stupid for moderating “Jewish Lobby” into “Israei Lobby” because there is no difference – JUDAH WAS PART OF ISRAEL during Solomon’s reign. Kind of a dumb argument. What should we call the Obama campaigners? Hmmmmmm. How about AFRO-PHOBIC!

    Hi, Michael.

I like the “Italian, Russian, German, Irish, English, Swedish, Austrian, and ALL AMERICAN” bit. My children are English, Swedish, Slovenian, Dutch, Jewish, Croatian, Austrian, French, German, Scotch-Irish, Seneca, Oneida, Norwegian, etc. ALL AMERICANs, and my granddaughter is an all that plus Chinese ALL AMERICAN (and ALL CHINESE — She has a choice when she grows up, just like Obama). What I think we have most in common, though, is that we haven’t spent 20 years as members of a church whose pastor and congregation are anti-Jewish, anti-White and anti-American, who thinks the leader of Nation of Islam is the ideal American citizen.

There are all kinds of ALL AMERICANs, including Arab, English, Scotch-Irish, Luo, Irish, Belgian, German ones. I just don’t believe Obama has convincingly proved that he is one; but John McCain proved he is, under repeated tortures.
