Obama’s EPA Prostitutes its Regulatory Authority to Support Cap and Trade

EPA, already accused of scientific misconduct, abuses its regulatory authority to enrich special interests
by Bill Levinson

The Environmental Protection Agency, whose mission is to protect people from toxic pollutants like sulfur and nitrogen oxides, today declared carbon dioxide–a gas that we all generate and exhale every few seconds–a hazard to human life that must be regulated.

We have little doubt that the EPA abused its regulatory authority on behalf of, or even on the direct orders of, Barack Obama for the purpose of enriching investment banks–Kirsten Gillibrand named J.P. Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs as explicit beneficiaries of cap and trade mandates–whose executives, partners, and/or stockholders bundled a total of seven figures worth of campaign contributions to help elect him. Bundled contributions are entirely legal but it is nonetheless eminently clear that Barack Obama’s loyalties are not to the $5 donors whom he says are so important to him. His loyalties are to the kind of people who can peel off $2300 ($4600 for couples) from a wad of money as if it was pocket change, and then burn another C-note to light a $20 cigar and/or Barry’s cigarette for good measure.

We remind our readers that Kimberley Strassel of the Wall Street Journal already published a credible allegation that the EPA committed scientific misconduct by suppressing research or findings that go against Team Obama’s cap and trade agenda.

Dr. Alan Carlin, a 37-year agency veteran, was muzzled earlier this spring. Dr. Carlin offered a report poking holes in the science underlying the theory of manmade global warming. His superior … complained the paper did “not help the legal or policy case” for Team Obama’s decision to regulate carbon, told him to “move on to other issues,” and forbade him from discussing it outside the office.

If true, the supervisor’s conduct meets generally accepted definitions of academic dishonesty and scientific misconduct, the kind of misconduct that could easily get an outside researcher or company disbarred from Federal funding. It is clear that Barack Obama has put the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on the street like a common prostitute to support a completely political agenda that has nothing to do with human life, health, or safety.

Related to this, anti-Israel Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood seems to be heading in direction of more regulation, if not outright nationalization, of transportation infrastructure; & speaking of “bundled contributions,” if that happens, it will be worth watching to see if bundler Adebayo Ogunlesi‘s Global Infrastructure Partners benefits (plus potential endangerment to national security).

The Marxist credo is “By any means necessary”, and the global warming scam embodies this philosophy.

The Left will tell any lie or pervert any institution to get its way.

In the obsessive pursuit of their Luddite environmental agenda, liberals are enthusiastically destroying the good name of science.

Ayn you know I am a (cable) FOX News junkie. From morning (Fox and Friends) to the evening (Sean Hannity).
This includes while at work during the day.

My son and I laugh because just about every democratic, obama liberal strategist on a debate situation tell nothing but lies. Talk about spin, they are so scripted with lies one begins to believe they are all mental midgets.

The main fault I find with these liberal democrats is they will stick to the plan and will not deviate or question it whereas conservatives will question and often criticize one another.

They are like zombies and puppets who are unable to act on their own.

I hope and pray a majority of Americans see through all this and come to their senses. Conservatives must take control before this nitwit destroys the republic.

    Right as rain, ron.

Brings to mind my favorite term of 2008: Obamabots.

Ayn, right now on Fox News, obama the liar is doing just that.

He is at Brookings and in addition to blaming the Bush administration for economic problems and how he is the Messiah and making the necessary corrections.

Lie after lie, I can’t handle it.

My son said turn him off.

  6. ayn reagan says:

    Wise man, your son.

I wonder how long the scapegoating of Bush will work. It has gotten so brazen that Obama recently blamed Bush for the budget deficit, which Obama quadrupled this year.

    The buck stops in Crawford.

Obama can blame Bush until the cows come home to roost. What we see now is just the beginning of troubles if O’ remains on course to revisit history. Wait until military conflicts begin breaking out globally; the chain of events taking place now, unless stopped, is going to result in that. Then it’s going to be, “Lucy, you got some ‘splain’n to do!”

Randy, the reason I stated earlier, how important it is for Israel to beef up her military.

Just maybe Israel will have bail the US out of a jam.

Yesterday, there were massive demonstrations in Tehran by Iranians demanding a secular democratic government.

The fascistic Iranian regime responded with violence.

Obama continues to maintain neutrality, which should provide an insight into what his stance will be when military conflicts break out globally.

He does not intend to ‘splain such a thin’. His plan is to support implicitly the forces of “anti-imperialism”, ie., the Iranians, the Palestinians, the Venezuelans…

  10. Re: #9
    “Obama continues to maintain neutrality,”

just like Franklin Roosevelt did when he shipped Jewish refugees back to Nazi Germany. Obama will stand by and say nothing while Ahmadinejad sends dissidents to “re-education facilities” such as Evin Prison.

“Just maybe Israel will have bail the US out of a jam.”

Yeah, well I’m not so sure G-d will let them do that.

All the madness under false pretenses of deliverance of the planet and civilization is taking a toll on my brain. As the psalmist David, I too have resorted to psalms for comfort. Mine aren’t as beautiful, but I seriously do mean them, even if they don’t seem like something someone could mean. Obama’s presidency has helped me keep this one in the forefront of my mind:

O’ God, save us from our enemies and protect us from the evil doers. Deliver us also from those who are hell bent on “helping” us. Let not those who seek to “save” us succeed O’ Lord. Neither allow them to “bless” us with their great “wisdom” or succeed in making us all “equal.”

As an overflowing flood which destroys all before it they have determined to quench our thirst. For our own safety they have promised to bind us tightly in chains of compassion, to wrap us securely in the swaddling cloths of a benevolent tyranny for our own protection. They have also vowed to rob our posterity and our posterity’s posterity to bring prosperity.

O’ Lord, let those coming to “save” us be confounded and confused. Let terror seize upon them as a bleeding sailor in the infested waters of starving sharks. Cause them to go round and round in circles as a dog with ticks on his most hinder parts. Yea, let them melt away as a candle, beginning from the top down. As maggots upon a rock in the noon day sun let their power dry up and be no more. Like a slug lost in a salt mine, let them dissolve into nothing.

  13. It has gotten so brazen that Obama recently blamed Bush for the budget deficit, which Obama quadrupled this year.

Given that Obama voted for the bank bailout, he would be to blame for much of Bush’s last year deficit.

Bush was whittling down on the deficit until the bank bailout.

  14. We need to elect Ron Paul as President!
