Why don’t we see demonstrations against Islamic dictatorships in London, Paris, Barcelona? Or demonstrations against the Burmese dictatorship? Why aren’t there demonstrations against the enslavement of millions of women who live without any legal protection? Why aren’t there demonstrations against the use of children as human bombs where there is conflict with Islam? Why has there been no leadership in support of the victims of Islamic dictatorship in Sudan? Why is there never any outrage against the acts of terrorism committed against Israel? Why is there no outcry by the European left against Islamic fanaticism? Why don’t they defend Israel’s right to exist? Why confuse support of the Palestinian cause with the defense of Palestinian terrorism? An finally, the million dollar question:Why is the left in Europe and around the world obsessed with the two most solid democracies, the United States and Israel, and not with the worst dictatorships on the planet? The two most solid democracies, who have suffered the bloodiest attacks of terrorism, and the left doesn’t care.
And then, to the concept of freedom. In every pro Palestinian European forum I hear the left yelling with fervor: “We want freedom for the people!” Not true. They are never concerned with freedom for the people of Syria or Yemen or Iran or Sudan, or other such nations. And they are never preoccupied when Hamas destroys freedom for the Palestinians. They are only concerned with using the concept of Palestinian freedom as a weapon against Israeli freedom. The resulting consequence of these ideological pathologies is the manipulation of the press.
The international press does major damage when reporting on the question of the Israeli-Palestinian issue. On this topic they don’t inform, they propagandize. When reporting about Israel the majority of journalists forget the reporter code of ethics. And so, any Israeli act of self-defense becomes a massacre, and any confrontation, genocide. So many stupid things have been written about Israel, that there aren’t any accusations left to level against her. At the same time, this press never discusses Syrian and Iranian interference in propagating violence against Israel; the indoctrination of children and the corruption of the Palestinians. And when reporting about victims, every Palestinian casualty is reported as tragedy and every Israeli victim is camouflaged, hidden or reported about with disdain.
And let me add on the topic of the Spanish left. Many are the examples that illustrate the anti-Americanism and anti-Israeli sentiments that define the Spanish left. For example, one of the leftist parties in Spain has just expelled one of its members for creating a pro-Israel website. I quote from the expulsion document: “Our friends are the people of Iran, Libya and Venezuela, oppressed by imperialism, and not a Nazi state like Israel.”
In another example, the socialist mayor of Campozuelos changed Shoah Day, commemorating the victims of the Holocaust, with Palestinian Nabka Day, which mourns the establishment of the State of Israel, thus showing contempt for the six million European Jews murdered in the Holocaust. Or in my native city of Barcelona, the city council decided to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the creation of the State of Israel, by having a week of solidarity with the Palestinian people. Thus, they invited Leila Khaled, a noted terrorist from the 70’s and current leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a terrorist organization so described by the European Union, which promotes the use of bombs against Israel. And so on and so on.
This politically correct way of thinking has even polluted the speeches of president Zapatero. His foreign policy falls within the lunatic left, and on issues of the Middle East he is unequivocally pro Arab. I can assure you that in private, Zapatero places on Israel the blame for the conflict in the Middle East, and the policies of foreign minister Moratinos reflect this. The fact that Zapatero chose to wear a kafiah in the midst of the Lebanon conflict is no coincidence; it’s a symbol.
Spain has suffered the worst terrorist attack in Europe and it is in the crosshairs of every Islamic terrorist organization. As I wrote before, they kill us will cell phones hooked to satellites connected to the Middle Ages. An yet the Spanish left is the most anti Israeli in the world.
And then it says it is anti Israeli because of solidarity. This is the madness I want to denounce in this conference.
Conclusion:
I am not Jewish. Ideologically I am left and by profession a journalist. Why am I not as anti Israeli as my colleagues? Because as a non-Jew I have the historical responsibility to fight against Jewish hatred and currently against the hatred for their historic homeland, Israel. To fight against anti-Semitism is not the duty of the Jews, it is the duty of the non-Jews.
As a journalist it is my duty to search for the truth beyond prejudice, lies and manipulations. The truth about Israel is not told. As a person from the left who loves progress, I am obligated to defend liberty, culture, civic education for children, coexistence and the laws that the Tablets of the Covenant made into universal principles. Principles that Islamic fundamentalism systematically destroys. That is to say that as a non-Jew, journalist and lefty I have a triple moral duty with Israel, because if Israel is destroyed, liberty, modernity and culture will be destroyed too.
The struggle of Israel, even if the world doesn’t want to accept it, is the struggle of the world.
Straight out of the Marxist playbook; no thinking required or allowed. My suggestion? Why not go and live in one of these countries and leave the rest of us alone. (I noticed that Sudan wasn’t mentioned in the above list, for some reason.)
These are simply insane people. Loons. How anyone can sit comfortably and listen to them or read their words, let alone agree with them, is beyond me, and I’m sure beyond any sane person reading this.
They will be the masters of their own bloody downfall, although as they fall, they will blame, as all such fools do, everybody except themselves, especially the Jews.
Contrast this quote with the words of the lady who wrote the piece… Imagine – a real leftist.

This lady, Pilar Rahola, says that sheknows that in private Zapatero blames Israel. Rahola is in and around these circles in Spain, quite well known, etc, and now she should write up allthat she knows about Zapatero and make sure it is “not private”.
Also there is a basic problem with Rahola and I have writen on it before. She in fact is a supporter of the Palestine state. I have always argued this is the dividing line right there.
In that sense Rahola is a critic of the “Fascist Left” but she shares the basic assumptions of just that “Fascist Left”.
A word about this left.
It is well known that Hitler used socialist demagogy in order to win the mass of the German people behind the Nazi programme.
Something very similar exists today.
There are many layers of antisemitism coming at Israel from different angles. One of these is the alliance of the Fascist “Left” with Fascist Islam. This has partly its origins in the use which Stalin made of antisemitism against Trotsky and the Left Opposition starting in 1926, and which then grew in to the antisemitism which came out of the Stalinist machine of the 60s and 70s, which began to equate Zionism with Nazism.
The programme of the Bolsheviks under Lenin and Trotsky was bitter opposition to antisemitism, and it was Trotsky in the years that were left to him to conduct the deepest analysis of Fascism and to defend the Jews through this analysis.
Trotsky stated that the Jews had to get out of Europe, set up their JEWISH state in Palestine, and to make it defensible. These principles still exist to today.
Rahola will have none of this. She is not a Trotskyist, and she appears to be one aspect of the Fascist “Palestinian” movement.
The issue is complex, located in history, I advise you on Israpundit do not go there unless you know your history, all of it…and if you try on Israpundit to distort the proud name of Trotskyism I will fight you to the end

The Nazi attempt to deliberately, systematically eliminate an entire people from the planet was unprecedented in human history.
Hitler targeted the Jews for a specific reason, which was not just racial. The elimination of the Jews had a unique “status” in Hitler’s master plan. While he certainly killed millions of others (gypsies, communists, homosexuals, etc.) he made exceptions for all these groups. The only group for which no exception was made was the Jews—they all had to die.

Felix, I know quite well that you are an honest guy… which is why I could never understand why you persist in not-seeing what the cold, clammy hand of governments – all governments – does to people. Having served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a young man and listening to this song, I mourn the fact that we have advanced so very little in achieving peace.

Auschwitz Sign Was Stolen For Neo-Nazis Who Intended To Sell/Use Proceeds For Terrorism

One of the most chilling reminders of the Holocaust was stolen from its place outside Auschwitz two weeks ago. After an intense manhunt by the Polish Government the sign Arbeit Macht Frei (Work Will Set You Free) was found and five people were arrested. Initial reports were that the thieves who took the sign which symbolizes to the world the atrocities and cruelty of Nazi Germany, had nothing to do with Neo-Nazis. As they got deeper into the investigation, the authorities are revealing that the thieves were actually hired by a neo-Nazi group that planned to sell the sign to fund terrorist attacks in Sweden.
A Swedish newspaper Aftonblade, reported that a former leader of a Nazi group said a buyer “was ready to pay millions for the sign.” The unidentified source told the paper that the money would pay for an attack on the home of Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and on the Swedish Foreign Ministry.
But today it emerged that Swedish investigators are helping Polish detectives investigate the theft of the sign from Auschwitz, amid reports that the robbery was linked to a rightwing terror plot.
The wrought iron plaque reading Arbeit Macht Frei (work sets you free) which spanned the entrance at the former Nazi death camp was wrenched from the gate on 18 December, and recovered three days later, cut into three pieces, in a forest in northern Poland.
..The five men being held in police custody in Krakow in connection with the theft have been described by Polish prosecutors as common criminals who had apparently acted for financial gain.
But according to the Danish daily Aftonbladet, the men were contracted by a neo-Nazi group which planned to sell it on to a third party, a foreign rightwing extremist or collector of Nazi memorabilia, with the aim of using the funds to finance a string of attacks in Stockholm.
Boguslawa Marcinkowska, the spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office in krakow, said: “The evidence that we have so far points to there being links with Sweden”. Polish state television TVP1 quoted official sources saying that Swedish neo-Nazis were behind the theft.
Poland’s justice minister, Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, said: “The investigations have taken on a much broader dimension than we had initially thought”.
The Swedish justice ministry has confirmed that it is helping the Polish police with investigations after the state prosecutor’s office in Krakow lodged an official application asking for its help.
Separately, the Swedish security service Säpo, confirmed that it was investigating an alleged neo-Nazi plot to blow up the Riksdagen, the parliament building in Stockholm, as well as the foreign ministry and the home of the president, Fredrik Reinfeldt. The aim of the plot, according to Säpo, was to create as much disruption as possible ahead of the 2010 parliamentary elections. It would not confirm or deny reports of a possible connection between the plot and the Auschwitz sign theft.
Polish investigators, who said from the start of the inquiry that they suspected the mastermind of the robbery operated outside Poland, would only say today that he or she “came from a European country”.
