MK Hotovely’s Plan to Solve Crisis: Aliyah and Rights for Arabs
by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu
(IsraelNN.com) The nationalist camp must start to change its thinking and look at Palestinian Authority Arabs as human beings in order to solve the political stalemate, Knesset Member Tzipi Hotovely told Israel National News.
“It is clear today that the version of ‘two states for two peoples’ does not stand a chance,” she said. “The decision of the nationalist camp ‘not to decide’ brings us to the current standoff. We have to exercise sovereignty over all of the areas of Judea and Samaria, but we have never said that we are talking about our own land. This is our weakness.”
The rookie MK suggests a “more progressive look at our [Arab] neighbors” instead of copying the “leftist solution of building a wall so we don’t have to see them.” She said that the PA includes Arabs who have “rights as human beings, and the problem of political rights has to be solved gradually.”
She proposes granting many of them the Biblical status of “non-Jewish resident” (“ger toshav”) while dismantling “refugee camps” and the “hostile programs of the PA educational system.”
While working on a long and gradual process that could conclude with granting many PA Arabs citizenship, a parallel effort is needed to bring one million more Jews to Israel to maintain a Jewish majority, she added.
“Younger politicians have to think differently,” MK Hotovely says. She thinks that Likud party chairman and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu continues “to play out the diplomatic process even though it is clear” that it has no chance.”
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks – guess what?
Is Hotovely naive and confused or was the reporter allowed two little column space to make sense of what she was saying?
She appears to be talking out of both sides of her mouth. Some things she says will find support amongst the right and some amongst the left.
The nationalist camp must see PA Palestinians as human beings in order to solve the political stalemate? Apart from the fact that PA Palestinians are seen as human beings by the nationalist camp, contrary to Hotolevy’s assertion, what is she getting at?
And then there is the little thing Hotolevy missed which is that PA Palestinians do not see Israelis as human beings. Hmmm.
Hotolevy then speaks out of both sides of her mouth when she says:
Duh?
Having just said that PA Palestinians must be seen as human beings, she then says the foregoing that implies not all PA Arabs have rights as human beings. So what is Israel to do with those Palestinians who do not have human rights?
To say the problem of political rights has to be solved gradually, is hardly a heretofore unheard of insight.
On the other hand she is saying Israel should exercise sovereignty over J & S and inferentially says that Israel must lay claim to J & S as Israeli land, which she notes has not yet been declared.
While suggesting that some Palestinians in J & S be granted citizenship, she offers no explanation as to which Palestinians would be accepted and which would not and of those not, what to do with them.
Hotlolevy calls for a push to bring a million more Jews to Israel, which generally sounds like a good idea, but offers nothing to stop the emigration of Israelis out of Israel.
Hotolevy is right that the diplomatic process will not lead to peace and it is going nowhere good for Israel along the way, but just what does she offer as a feasible option to get out of the diplomatic peace process dance macabre? Is it unilateralism that she is implying?
Hopefully Hotolevy who touts herself as a progressive and young politician who thinks differently, will in the ensuing weeks and months get her thoughts together and make some sense of what she is trying to say.
Then again as I began this comment, the fault with Hotolevy failing to make herself clear, may lie entirely with the incompetence of the journalist assigned by Israelnews to interview Hotolevy or the incompetence of Israel News in assigning its reporter enough column space to clearly set out what Hotolevy told him/her.
My counter-suggestion?
Israel should immediately deport everyone named “Tzipi”.
First you must start acting like human beings.
If you are successful at being a human being, you then realize there is no Palestine and you don’t have rights to the Holy Land and you are only a tenant subject to the laws of the one state Jewish Nation of Israel.
You learn that you don’t need to be pawns for the likes of Hamas, Hezbollah including Iran and Syria. You no longer want to be used by these awful characters who treat you like crap.
You no longer throw rocks and stones at Israelis.
You begin to understand being human is not bad at all.
As I have stated repeatedly in the past, the only hope for peace in the Middle-East rests upon the gradual conversion of Palestinians to the Mexican culture. The fact that the U.N. has yet to provide the funding for tequila and women is proof they are unwilling to put anything of serious consideration on the table.
A brilliant idea.
Relocating all the Palestinians to a garage in Pacoima.
No relocating. You’ll have to allow them to sneak over; it’s the only way they’ll go.
Hotovely is one of the key leaders of the right wing along with Danny Danon. She is a lawyer and is now working on her PhD. She recently recommended extending Israeli law to J & S and suggested giving citizenship to the Arabs. She took a lot of heat for that.
If she is a key right wing leader, Israel is in trouble.
Netanyahu’s Likud:
I read this opinion piece by an Israeli Knesset member. It proposes a one-state solution that apparently incorporates not only the West Bank muslims, but also muslim Gaza into Jewish Israel, with eventual Israeli citizenship for muslims as they prove “loyal”. She criticizes the Israeli “left” for putting up a wall to keep the muslims out.
This appears to be an ultra-leftist position. Her party affiliation was not mentioned. It turns out she is part of Netanyahu’s Likud. The same Netanyahu who maneuverd to oust Moshe Feiglin for “being too Jewish”, chose this idiot in his place.
If Netanyahu did not know what he was doing, he is not as smart as he thinks he is. And if he did know what he was doing, then Israel is in trouble.
The salvation of Israel will come when Israelis finally become proud to be Jewish. The original atheistic communist Zionists who founded Israel were proud, but not proud Jews. They were proud Hebrew speaking goyim.
It is not a coincidence that Sharon, Olmert, and Livni left the Likud and moved left. When you lose your Jewish identity, then you become a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic internationalist.
Neatanyahu appears to be an ambivalent leader, who straddles the left and the right. His Likud is not the future of israel. It is only treading water until real Jews finally take charge in Israel.
Leave it to “Jewish” Israel to elect “leaders” who are ashamed to be Jewish, and ashamed to be Israeli. But why not? Didn’t America just elect a commander-in-chief who is ashamed to be an American (if “being an American” even has a meaning anymore)?
Where oh where is my little yamit?

Present! What’s it like to have the world at your feet?
That person has no metatarsal bones.
My feet are replete…with bones.
No skin.
But many bones.
So you are then immune from mosquito bites on your feet?
Never have a foot fungus (athletes foot)?
Lucky You?
Lets move up your torso can you describe, like: with or without that most important organ: SKIN ?
No skin
Just bones.
Just bones
You are a true beauty
So true.
You are a true beauty, So true
I love thatSmell
When the Arabs quit acting like animals.
This is how I feel about them. When the Arabs quit acting like animals .
What has happened to Likud?
This empty-headed plaything is an important party leader?
She reminds me of Goldie Hawn, but without the smarts.
Hey, honey…your neighbors are Nazi-wannabes who yearn to kill you.
Take a progressive look at this.
Bibi has had his shot at Prime Minister once again, and he has disappointed once again. The likud central committe is slated to hold internal elections within 1-2 months. The results of this election is going to be the strenghthening of those Likud members who support Manhigut Yehidit’s policies and thus favor Moshe Feiglin.
The day is coming, sooner than you think!
I don’t think Shmulik has these Jews in mind !!
