Biden: Zero for Five on Foreign Policy
by Bill Levinson
Sarah Palin’s detractors may want to know what can possibly be worse than a zero for zero record (the kind held by most state governors) on foreign policy. Try Barack Obama’s “experienced” running mate Joe Biden, whose record is zero for five if not worse. Peter Wehner’s “Biden Was Wrong on the Cold War” reports,
In the 1970s, Mr. Biden opposed giving aid to the South Vietnamese government in its war against the North. Congress’s cut-off of funds contributed to the fall of an American ally, helped communism advance, and led to mass death throughout the region.
In addition, Barack Obama’s “experienced” running mate–experienced in decisions that killed millions of innocent people while costing millions more their freedom, did the following.
–Opposed modernization of the United States’ strategic nuclear arsenal in the face of the Soviet Union’s expansionist agenda, thus showing that he is not the right person to stand up to Vladimir Putin’s new Russian Empire.
–Voted against the first Gulf War after Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait
–Opposed missile defenses for the United States
Peter Wehner adds,
In 2006, after having voted three years earlier to authorize President George W. Bush’s war to liberate Iraq, Mr. Biden argued for the partition of Iraq, which would have led to its crack-up. Then in 2007, Mr. Biden opposed President Bush’s troop surge in Iraq, calling it a “tragic mistake.” It turned out to be quite the opposite. Without the surge, the Iraq war would have been lost, giving jihadists their most important victory ever.
Here we have Joe Biden’s vaunted foreign policy experience in a nutshell. He voted to cut off aid to South Vietnam, thus promoting a Communist victory followed by killing fields and genocide. He called the successful troop surge a “tragic mistake.” It is quite clear that the United States’ election of Biden to any position of public trust or responsibility that involves foreign policy also would be a tragic if not catastrophic mistake.
You object to Biden, naturally. He is a Democrat. But vote for Palin? This is what the Jerusalem Post thinks of her as a friend of Israel

not very much there, is there? She is very fond of Buchanon and Ron Paul, two who hate Jews…but
then again she is not a Democrat so that is all that matters, right?

davidstill, Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan do not hate Jews, they disagree with some policies of the State of Israel, does not make them Jew haters.

In fact Palin went to AIPAC and said “work to expand and deepen the strategic partnership between U.S. and Israel.” Here is something from Pat Buchanan “Buchanan wrote in 1992 that “no true Christian can carry within his heart hatred for any of God’s children… I am as aware as any other Christian that our Savior was Jewish, His mother was Jewish. The Apostles were Jewish. The first martyrs were Jewish…So no true Christian, in my judgment, can be an anti-Semite.”" and In defending himself against charges of Nazi sympathies, Buchanan calls Hitler a “monster” guilty of “ugly actions and discriminatory laws”. Not to mention this Although he regularly criticizes U.S. policy in the Middle East, Buchanan says he favors “a strong, independent state of Israel.” He wrote in 1999, “As for my views on Israel, they have changed. With the Intifada, I came to believe that Israel’s survival now mandated a homeland, a flag, and a nation of their own for the Palestinian people. A friend I made in Israel at the end of the Six Day War, Yitzhak Rabin, reached the same conclusion at the same time. For attempting to negotiate peace with Arafat, Rabin, too, was called an anti-Semite and Nazi, and was murdered in that climate of hatred”.[98] In Buchanan’s opinion, “The Israeli people are America’s friends and have a right to peace and secure borders. We should help them secure these rights.” He believes that the United States has a “moral commitment” to recognize Israel’s right to defend itself, “But U.S. and Israeli interests are not identical. They often collide, and when they do, U.S. interests must prevail”.

The article davidstill refers to in the jpost tells many lies about Sarah Palin.
It was written by Marc R. Stanley, chairman of the notoriously dishonest National Jewish Democratic Council (see articles about them in Israpundit).
The comments section of that article provide a more balanced view.
See this Israpundit article as an example of how “wonderously wonderful” Biden is. If you want a candidate who will pressure Israel to
give up land for peace, and to act in an extremely passive way in response to attacks on Israel, then Biden is your man.
More accurately, she has little foreign policy experience (has negotiated with Canada, for instance).
More important is the nature of the foreign policies that a person would put forth. Are people like Biden, Carter, Baker, etc
really more desirable as VP because they have foreign policy experience?
Typical NJDC double talk.
If two people decide to have a baby, would they have to fear Palin opposing their reproductive freedom? Of course not.
It is just M.R.S. way of saying that that she is pro-life, and so she must be demonized, especially since she is religious, and more specifically, Christian.
And while she may be out of step with large segments of the secular Jewish community, she is not out of step with orthodox Jewish believers, for instance.
Contrary to those who think denying global warming is like denying the holocaust, the jury is still out on these matters.
(Personally, I suspect/fear the possibility of global cooling.) See http://antigreen.blogspot.com/ for another point of view.
Typical lie told against those who believe that God created the world, especially politicians who so believe.
See “A Star is Born” by Melanie Phillips. http://www.spectator.co.uk/melaniephillips/2061131/a-star-is-born.thtml
for a more accurate telling of Palin’s views on this matter.
Also, http://www.evolutionnews.org/ “Slowly, Bloggers Are Building an Accurate Picture of Palin’s Views on Evolution and Creationism”
No reference here to the fact that the state trooper, among other things, tasered his ten year old stepson.
(Must not let such facts get in the way of the demonization of Sarah Palin.)
Just another smear. She supported Forbes at the time. Much has been written about this on the internet already.
