Yes, Barack Obama’s church, the Trinity United Church of Christ, is affiliated with the United Church of Christ. Now let’s take a look at the United Church of Christ’s less than savory connections with the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center.

ADL Troubled by United Church of Christ’s Embrace of Radicalized Palestinian Christian Group

New York, NY, January 10, 2006 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is troubled by the United Church of Christ’s continuing partnership with the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center, a radicalized Palestinian Christian group whose leaders have openly questioned Israel’s right to exist.

Now, Barack Hussein Obama and his shills are telling us that he is supportive of Israel, but this is what the United Church of Christ (UCC), of which Trinity United Church of Christ is a member, supports.

Note that we are citing the Web site of the United Church of Christ’s friends at sabeel.org.

Do you want to know more about Current Realities in Palestine

Our vision for this conference is to gather, network, and further educate young leaders from Palestine and around the world, during this 60th year of commemorating the Nakba; so that they may be trained, commissioned, and equipped with the tools to act in advocacy to work for justice and peace in the Holy Land.

60 years ago would be 1947-1948, i.e. the establishment of Israel as opposed to the Six Day War. Doesn’t “nakba” mean “disaster,” which is Palestinian for existence of Israel?

Palestinian Children under occupation

We were all children at one time; and we all have our childhood memories – some that we cherish and others that we would rather forget. Palestinians who were children in 1948 are now grandmothers and grandfathers. They remember their towns and villages, their homes, their orange groves, their olive trees, and the streets where they played with their friends. They remember the terraced hills, the vineyards, and the fig trees, lovingly tended by their parents and grandparents.

This was shattered by a nightmare that will not come to an end: the 1948 Nakba (or catastrophe) turned their lives upside down. Today, fifty-three years later, they are still trying to shake it off. The prayer on their lips is always: “May our children see better days.” The miracle is that they never lost hope.

This document is the fruit of several months of discernment, prayer and preparation. We released it on May15 th because of the symbolic significance of that date. It was on May15 , 1948 that the state of Israel was established, and the Palestinian Nakba (Catastrophe) is remembered. Be that as it may, we believe that a just peace is still possible and a life of security and reconciliation is within our reach. In light of the events of the last few weeks we hope that you will sincerely reflect on the content, and then act according to conscience. Our faith in the living God obliges us to press on. “…I have set before you life and death … Choose life so that you … may live” (Deuteronomy30 :19). Sabeel chooses to stand for justice. We can do no other. We invite you, indeed, we beseech you, to stand with us.

Now let’s take a look at the United Church of Christ’s own Web site. All links are to domain ucc.org.

Tutu criticizes ‘collective punishment’ of Palestinians

South African Archbishop Desmund Tutu (c.), a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, is pictured with Massachusetts Conference Minister Jim Antal (l.) and the Rev. Nancy Taylor (r.), senior pastor of Old South UCC in Boston.

Tutu keynoted a two-day conference, held at the church, Oct. 26-27, titled “The Apartheid Paradigm in Palestine-Israel.” …The event was sponsored by the Sabeel Center, a Palestinian-Christian organization with partnership ties to the UCC, which rented Old South’s sanctuary for the event.

We have therefore established that:
(1) Barack Hussein Obama’s church, the Trinity United Church of Christ (tucc.org) is part of the United Church of Christ (ucc.org)
(2) The UCC is cooperating actively with the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center
(3) The Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center’s web site refers repeatedly to the creation of Israel (NOT just the “occupation” of the West Bank) as Al Nakba, “The Catastrophe.”

Res ipsa loquitur, the thing speaks for itself.

  1. What difference will this shoe dropping make?

Neither the MSM nor Clinton and McCain and the Republican party have attacked Obama’s credibility on the basis of his continued affiliation with Trinity United Church of Christ led by Pastor Jim Wright Jr..

Much has already been reported on Wright’s anti-Israel views which amount to a barely there disguise for his anti-Semitism.

Wright however is not just anti-semitic. His words also reveal him to be an anti-white racist.

Wright’s actions in seeing to it that his Church has bestowed honor on Louis Farakhan, a noted black racist who targets Jews and Whites also speaks volumes about the racist mindset of Pastor Jim Wright jr.

What does all this say about not only Obama, but all the congregants that remain affiliated with the south Chicago Trinity United Church of Christ?

With the success of the civil rights movement, Blacks have been empowered in America in a number of very good ways.

Some Black leaders however have used that empowerment to express their own racist views against Jews and White America. Whites in the States, fearful of being accused by Black leadership of being racist, hold their tongues to so accuse Blacks of racism, except however in obvious cases such as that of Louis Farakhan who puts his racism against Whites and Jews on very public display.

That is likely why neither the media nor Clinton, McCain and the Republican party will during this election year, vigorously challenge Obama on his views by raising in debates, editorials and political pundit analyses, the matter of Obama’s continued affiliation with the south Chicago Trinity United Church of Christ.

One can only hope that White America screws up its courage to puts its fears aside and does question Obama as closely as they would any White candidate for President who was and remained affiliated with a Church that was led by an anti-Black racist.

Under such scrutiny and intense examination, Obama might wilt or he just might prove that he is the man he says he is and that he is not tainted in the least by his affiliation with south Chicago Trinity United Church of Christ.

  2. Thank you once again, Bill.
This information is very important despite the lack of play it is receiving – at present – in the MSM.
I think it is important for everyone to know the type of individuals who would populate an Obama administration – especially Obama’s cabinet.

  3. The irony is that these so-called “Christians” who run the sabeel center in Jerusalem, if they got what they wanted, will live under an islamic state where Christianity will cease to exist. In the Jewish state of Israel, they have freedom.

Anyway, barrack hussein obama is a racist and antisemite through and through.

  4. I continue to wonder why criticism of Israeli government policies is so often seen as anti-Semitism.
