CNN uses the word “terrorist” re: Hamas, then redacts it

By Andrew L. Jaffee, netwmd.com

CNN is a leader of, and role model for, the very politically-correct “mainstream” media. So I was flabbergasted to read an article posted today entitled, “Barak: Israel in ‘all-out war’ with Hamas,” which didn’t refer to Hamas as “assailants,” “extremists,” “gunmen,” “insurgents,” or “militants,” but actually printed the statement, “Israel continues to strike at Hamas terrorist targets in Gaza…” Initially, I thought to myself, “Does this represent a change in editorial policies — or even attitudes — about terrorism at the media giant?” But I also felt that I should be cautious before jumping to conclusions. I took a screen-shot of the page as well as saved the article to disk. After running some errands, I returned home, turned on my laptop, and reloaded the CNN article in question. Lo and behold, CNN had redacted its original terminology, removing any mention of the word “terrorist” in reference to Hamas, changed the story’s title, but left the URL (link to the page) unchanged. In other words, it pulled a fast one on its readers.

Here is the screen-shot of the original edition of the article which used the phrase, “Israel continues to strike at Hamas terrorist targets in Gaza…” Here is the original edition in HTML format. If you’re interested in reading the bland, sanitized, and new version of the article, click here.

Nothing has changed. CNN retains its extreme, politically-correct policies. It’s business-as-usual, just as it has been since 911, when Reuters set the tone for placating terrorists:

… Stephen Jukes, Reuters’ global head of news, decreed that the giant wire service’s 2,500 journalists should not use the T-word [terrorist] unless in a direct quote.

“We all know that one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter and that Reuters upholds the principle that we do not use the word terrorist,” he wrote in an internal memo. “To be frank, it adds little to call the attack on the World Trade Center a terrorist attack.” …

“Pathetic” and “cowards” are the only words I can use to describe people like Mr. Jukes. This refusal by the “mainstream” media to label terrorists as the evil, murderous, scum they are — terrorists — exposes a great weakness of the Western World, the fear-inspired belief that crazed, homicidal dogmatists can be appeased. Political correctness only emboldens terrorists, reassuring them that they have accomplished the main goal of their terrorist acts: intimidating the survivors of terrorism.

  1. Journalists and their Editors will call activists “terrorists” when the activists direct their activities against the Journalists and their Editors.

  2. What’s the big surprise? The MSM world-wide are owned by a cartel of less than ten families. America is run by a cartel of monopolistic economic fascists that have just engineered a fake global “depression” in order to make their last move to enslave absolutely all other social classes. This cartel has interlocking economic interests with the fascist MSM cartel.
None of them could care less about the life and death of human beings or fascism or terrorists. In fact their main interest is to perpetrate through technology a world of fascism slavery and oppression that is unparalleled in history in scope depth or extent. Their world will make Auschwitz look like heaven for at least in the Death Camps there was the succor of oblivion. Death is not a option that can be chosen in the slave cities of the 21st century.
    ..
It is one ting to die in their labour camps sand ghettos neutered, with RFIDs in our brains, GPS ’s in ankle brackets and needles monitoring our blood chemistry to ensure we have been taking the proper psycho-tropic drugs.
But at this point in history as the human masses sink into genetic slavery and will soon no longer even be recognizable on the evolutionary chain, it’s a little bit nebbish to call the architects of this evil “immoral”. You are accusing monsters of having facial blemishes. It’s totally irrelevant.

Better to go deeper and expose the true face of the monsters. The face of the MSM is fake. They are more hideous that anyone here can ever know or has imagined.

  3. Ted Turner used money and the financial system as a “crutch” because he was too cowardly, wimpy, & weak to stand up on his own and accept the God of Israel as the Savior of the world.

MONEY is a crutch for weak people who can’t acknowledge the FREEDOM that Israel’s God meant us all to have. God’s goal was to deliver Israel from Egyptian slavery, but the whole democratic party and their CNN trolls, enjoy putting up pyramids everywhere, thinking that their slavery is actually enlightenment. What’s funny about Ted Turner’s comment about “Christianity being a crutch for weak people,” it was actually “MONEY” that was a crutch for him to excuse himself from believing on the Lord and saving himself from mortal decomposition. Not all the money in the world will save Ted Turner from rotting and no money can BUY GOD or BUY their way into Heaven.

Yes, I know that Ted Turner was ousted from his own company at Turner Broadcasting, but CNN just continues to ignite the world with its torch of slavery, thinking that doing business with countries who hate us will actually save them. Zechariah’s prophecy says the contrary.

    CNN SUCKS.

Since 9-11 I have given Fox News my exclusive attention for news. CNN has always been out of touch with reality, much like Ted Turner who just keeps on saying and doing stupid things.

  4. CNN should use the term, “Murderers” or “Baby Killers,” or “Murderers of Children and Old People.” Better yet, since Allah is a false god and Muhammad is a false prophet and the whole religion of Islam is just one big Satanic lie, let’s just call them “Satan’s children,” or “Children of the Darkness.” We could call them, “The Enemies of the God of Israel.” But then again, it might force CNN executives to discover the unity that they have by siding with “The Enemies Of The State and God of Israel,” since everything they say and do HATES the Bible, HATES Biblical Law, HATES anything Christian or Jewish…..therefore, nobody good and decent needs to pay attention to the ramblings of a dysfunctional news station who reports the devil’s news with a smile all the way to Ted Turner’s hellfire.

    Sad.

Fox News can at least use the word “TERRORIST” and be considered a lot more kind and compassionate than I am!

I would also like to add that all those who complained about Bush being a warmonger, I happen to applaud Bush’s patience in the war on terror, because I surely would have killed every terrorist on earth and wiped Iran off the face of the earth! I’m much worse than Bush could ever be, so let’s cut some slack over these dumb ass terms!
