Obama Blogger Compared to David Duke
Anti-Semitic hate speech at Obama’s campaign site denounced and challenged
by Bill Levinson
“Alan from Upland CA” has finally stepped up to challenge Tony Wicher’s anti-Semitic hate speech at Barack Obama’s official Web site. It will be interesting to see how long Alan’s comments, and even his membership, last at my.barackobama.com. We have downloaded copies of the indicated pages for use as evidence in case Alan’s comments vanish.
Alan replies to Mr. Wicher’s “Obama’s Jewish Problem” as follows.
- Obama’s sanction of Wicher’s commentary, plus his unbelieveable cowardice (heck, he all but called Abraham Lincoln a “Racist”) in denouncing the Black Nazi Wright is enough of a turn-off. Wicher just adds more fuel to the fire. Could have been set by David Duke or Farrakhan - but hey, the Obamist Left are NOOOOOOO Different than their ideological (when it comes to Jews) allies.
This is not hyperbole or exaggeration, because Tony Wicher’s and Desmond Tutu’s terminology for Zionists and even Jews is identical to material from David Duke’s Web site. Again, all this material is hosted at a site under Barack Obama’s editorial control. Tony Wicher’s “My Favorite Antisemite” says,
- The utterly charming thing about the Zionist Thought Police is their apparent inability to restrain themselves, even from the very excesses that will prove to be their own undoing.
David DuKKKe’s Web site uses identical terminology: “Sylvia Stolz railroaded by Zionist Thought Police for defending [Holocaust denier] Ernst Zundel!?” Tony Wicher’s entry then quotes Desmond Tutu’s statement, which also is suitable for David DuKKKe’s Web site.
- “People are scared in this country [the U.S.] to say wrong is wrong because the Jewish lobby is powerful - very powerful. Well, so what? This is God’s world. For goodness sake, this is God’s world! We live in a moral universe. The apartheid government was very powerful, but today it no longer exists. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Pinochet, Milosovic, and Idi Amin were all powerful, but in the end they bit the dust.
Now compare Tutu’s material about the “powerful” Jewish lobby to this delightful entry from David Duke’s Web site.
A Look at The ‘Powerful Jewish Lobby’
By Mark Weber (hosted at Davidduke.com)
For decades Israel has violated well established precepts of international law and defied numerous United Nations resolutions in its occupation of conquered lands, in extra-judicial killings, and in its repeated acts of military aggression.
Most of the world regards Israel’s policies, and especially its oppression of Palestinians, as outrageous and criminal. This international consensus is reflected, for example, in numerous UN resolutions condemning Israel, which have been approved with overwhelming majorities.
In other words, the anti-Semitic (and accusations against the “Jewish Lobby” are explicitly anti-Semitic, as opposed to “Zionist Lobby” which at least has the fig leaf of being directed at a political or nationalistic movement as opposed to a religion) terminology at the official campaign site of Barack Obama is identical, word for word, to that used by David Duke and his own contributors. Tony Wicher has also posted material that accuses Israel of the same conduct cited by Mark Weber at Davidduke.com while downplaying, overlooking, excusing, or denying the Palestinians’ long litany of mindless terroristic violence against Israeli civilians as well as the Arabs’ track record of starting or provoking four wars in the space of 25 years (1948-1973).
Also note Wicher’s “One Democratic State in Israel/Palestine: a New Peace Initiative.” Alan from Upland CA writes,
Prove it, Tony, and what is this SPLC - the New Hitler Youth or something along those lines.
You insult me and other Jews with your lies about Israeli Human Rights abuses at the same time giving your holier than thou remarks that you fight anti-Semitism.
You don’t. You are part of the problem, NOT the solution.
If you are NOT anti-Jewish, then prove it. Demand that the Palestinians stop rocketing children and farm animals in Sderot; demand that Gaza become a real demilitarized zone - the Israelis left it for Hamas and Fatah to kill them - and each other.
Demand the IMMEDIATE release of the kidnapped boys, and if that doesn’t happen, a total boycott of Palestinian goods and organizations (I’m quite sure your girlfriend Medea Benjamin would get bent out of shape over that).
Urge the immediate removal of ALL Palestinian textbooks that contain even the slightest anti-Semitism, and tell the P.A. to stop the brutal intimidation of what is left of the CHRISTIAN population in Bethlehem. And urge Obama to stop supporting the Palestinians until they are TRULY ready to seek peace, not their whining and murdering.
Until then, Tony, your words about fighting anti-Semitism are hollow, especially when you end your blog with a remark by a guy applauded openly by the worst anti-Semites in the world, including David Duke and Rev. Wright’s buddy Farrakhan - the self-loathing KAPO by the name of Norman Finkelstein.
Try going to Finkelstein’s website and question him - your Duke friends will send you very lovely e-mails. But hey, you are WITH THEM, NOT with the Jewish people.
Be honest, Tony, if you can. Your lies about Israel and not being anti-semitic are getting boring.
Again, we don’t think Alan from Upland CA will last very long at my.barackobama.com because Barack Obama welcomes the support of racists, anti-Semites, and Catholic-hating bigots as shown by:
- (1) His endorsement of Al Sharpton and his National Action Network (both known for inciting hatred of white people and especially Jews)
(2) His solicitation and acceptance of the endorsement of MoveOn.org (welcomed anti-Semitic and anti-Catholic hate material at its Web site, published an anti-Catholic hate cartoon of the Pope waving a gavel in front of the U.S. Supreme Court)
(3) His 20 year membership in Jeremiah Wright’s hate organization, which has published or repeated anti-American and anti-Israel blood libels as well as a guest opinion piece from an actual Hamas terrorist
(4) His refusal to reject Louis Farrakhan’s support until backed into a corner on national television
(5) The fact that Tony Wicher’s vicious anti-Israel and even anti-Semitic material is welcome at his official Web site
(6) The fact that the New Black Panther Party was welcome at his Web site until it became an Internet-wide scandal
We remind our readers that Tony Wicher is a major participant and contributor to Obama’s Web site. He is not a fly by night agent provacateur who posted David Duke terminology to embarrass Obama.
Wicher calls Israel an apartheid entity
Wicher uses David Duke terminology (”Zionist Thought Police”) and quotes Desmond Tutu’s David Duke terminology (powerful “Jewish lobby”)
We expect Alan’s “disrespectful and offensive” comments about Mr. Wicher’s hate speech to disappear as well. If so, it will be entirely consistent with Mr. Obama’s own track record and character.
I remember sometime ago watching David Duke sitting with the Iranian President in that HOLOCAUST meeting, denying that the Holocaust ever happened. I just remember thinking: Satan’s Kingdom united! Since the devil created most of the world’s cults and religions and that men who hated the God of Israel tapped into the forces of the occult on the dark side, it is only natural for these Satanic religions, who carry the devil’s signature to be united.
Yes, all religions lead to the same god - the god of hell. So it’s not suprising that the United Nations are united against the God of Israel and the God of Israel’s children.
Real Christians support Israel in the context of the borders defined by the Torah and the Prophets. Although Jewish Believers don’t believe that the God of Israel became a human being in the Name of Jesus for 33 years, the Jewish Believer Faith in the Messiah is not to be discredited any more than the Christian who believes that the God of Israel is the ONLY MESSIAH. I, as a Christian Believer, believe that the great secret of Christianity is that the God who appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, becamse the LAMB whose blood was spilled so that death could pass over both Jews and Gentiles. If I, as a Christian, believe in the God of Israel as exclusive Messiah, my faith is the same as the faith of a Jewish believer - only in a much different context.
Romans 9 -11 addresses Jewish faith that ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED! As a Christian who comes into the camp of ISRAEL by the blood of the Lamb, there is nothing in my faith in Jesus that negates or replaces Israel - but fulfills, supports, and helps Israel. ISRAEL IS CALLED BY THE GOD OF ISRAEL TO INHERIT THE LAND OF CANAAN - AN ETERNAL LAW NOT ALLOWED TO BE BROKEN - not by any U.S PRESIDENT or EUROPEAN/RUSSIAN DICTATOR or Islamic Fascist!
Obama’s REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY is another apostate Christian group promoting another Satanic religion that is fulfilling the Ezekiel 38 equaton of nations gathered together by the devil against Israel.
Yes, Obama-Wright-Farrakhan are united in a common front against Israeli and American interests and we must oppose them to the bitter end.
Since all religious paths lead to the devil and not to the God of Israel - there is only ONE MESSIAH WHO CAN SAVE THE WORLD NOW - THE GOD OF ISRAEL - however, HIS FAITHFUL BELIEVERS ARE TAKING THEIR FINAL STAND OF PROTEST TOGETHER against these armies of darkness and it’s time for all of us who believe in the God of Israel to DEFINE where we stand -
ARE WE WITH ISRAEL OR AGAINST ISRAEL?

Does anyone know if the Obama campaign actually edits any of the pages of my.barackobama.com? I wonder if someone put a “vote for McCain comment” or anti-Obama screed at my.barackobama.com how long it would stay on the website?
If someone with more time and web skills would like to test this out, I would be curious to know what happens. If the Obama campaign takes down comments unfriendly to their candidate, or supportive of his opponents, but leaves up comments that are hateful of Israel, then we have another powerful piece of evidence against Obama.

It appears that somebody’s managing spin, if nothing else. After attempting to pull up the two links to Wicher articles from the article here, I got two ERROR: Page Not Found messages.

Aaron,
Someone kicked over the anthill at my.barackobama.com, and Wicher’s entire blog appears to have been deleted. So was the piece about Jews owing everything to Africa.
4infidels wrote,
See above; Obama has been forced to sanitize his Web site. We beat him, and we beat him badly.

It’s a beautiful thing.

Bill you have only beaten him if he looses either the nomination or the elections; small tactical victories are important but thats all they are.

Many people have sent me this letter, below, and it now appears on many sites. It is an important read to remind people that anti-Semitism is all over, and that far too many key Barack Hussein Obama supporters openly hate Jews, and want you to know it. And that Obama is far too lax in looking the other way.
While I live and grew up in a Black city, in a Black neighborhood, and graduated from a Black high school; And while I know that there are many philo-Semitic Black Americans (we have many such readers on this site and I have many such friends with whom I grew up and whom I’ve known most of my life), the fact is that the Black community has far too much tolerance for anti-Semitism. And it’s not just Farrakhan, Jackson, Sharpton, and Wright–though their popularity in Black America is symbolic, as their anti-Semitism is never rejected by the collective Black community.
In fact, regardless of the history of Jews going out of their way for Blacks and Black civil rights–several literally gave their lives and were shot as they marched for Blacks–and helped found the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Blacks comprise the only ethnic group in America (Muslims are not an ethnic group) where anti-Semitism remains high. They are also the only ethnic group in America–in poll after poll–where anti-Semitism goes up as socio-economic status (earnings, education, etc.) goes up. I have a tremendous love for Black Americans–who helped build this country–and I deplore racism. But I do not love the collective, tolerated hatred of Jews.
That toleration and embrace of anti-Semitism is not new. That’s why, as I read this letter by Daphna Ziman–and as I watch plenty of naive, guilt-ridden Jews embrace Barack Obama despite his close ties to Wright and Farrakhan–I believe that they get what they deserve. Ms. Ziman had no business giving money to this group in the first place. She should have known this was their sentiment. It only reminds me of philantropist Zuckerman buying greenhouses in Gaza for HAMASniks and not easily predicting the greenhouses quick destruction and non-appreciation for the Jewish favor in 2005.
So, here is the letter by this very naive Jewish philanthropist Daphna Ziman, who now is shocked–shocked!–by the anti-Semitism towards her, a Jew, despite her donation to those she should have known–from a litany of media reports throughout her life about “Hymietown” and “Zionist interlopers” and “gutter religion” comments–do not wish her well:

Hi,
I have to tell you of an experience I had last night that was so anti Semitic and frightening:
Last night I was honored by Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, for my work with Children Uniting nations with African American children who are living out of home care. I have dedicated my life to saving these children from abuse, neglect and a life of crime. We created ‘adoption day’ and “Day of the child” determined to recruit caring adults to be mentors and life savers for our at risk children in the inner cities.
The mayor was present and City council member Bernard parks, Assemblyman Mike Davis, Senator Mark Ridely Thomas etc. I was introduced as a children advocate and a leader in the Jewish community. I began my speech by talking about how I woke up in the morning and listened to Hillary Clinton’s speech, in the spirit of Dr. King from Memphis that moved me so deeply. I expressed to the crowd how grateful I was to listen to Sen. McCain apologize to the community for mistakes he has made in the past. I acknowledged Sen. Obama’s speech from the campaign trail about Dr. King’s mentorship.
After I spoke and thanked the fraternity and their members, Rev. Eric Lee, pres. and CEO of Southern Christian Leadership Conference of greater Los Angeles, was introduced as the key note speaker.
He began his speech by thanking Jesus for Obama, who is going to be the leader of the world. He continued by referring to other leaders Like Dr. King, being that this was the moment of celebrating Dr. King’s spirit on the anniversary of his death, and Malcolm X.
It was right after the mention of Malcolm X that he looked right at me and started talking about the African American children who are suffering because of the JEWS that have featured them as rapists and murderers. He spoke of a Jewish Rabbi, and then corrected himself to say “What other kind of Rabbis are there, but JEWS”. He told how this Rabbi came to him to say that he would like to bring the AA community and the Jewish community together. ” NO, NO, NO,!!!!” he shouted into the crowd, we are not going to come together. “The Jews have made money on us in the music business and we are the entertainers, and they are economically enslaving us.”
He continued as to how now the salvation has come and the gates have open for African Americans to come together behind Barack Obama, because now is the time to show them.(meaning the Jews).
He continued to speak about ‘ White supremacy’ vs the talents and visionaries in the core of African Americans. He demeaned being given freedom, by saying “To what?” to a country that kills women and children.
I could no longer be polite and sit in front of the crowd, so I walked out.
Members of the fraternity ran after me as did my staff, I was not able to contain my tears and I cried.
I cried for me and my family, who have tried so hard to help the African American community, because we adopted children from the same realities and wanted to give back to other children and people. We have been completely color blind, for us it was only helping those children in need. I cried for our beloved country and the division that Barack Obama has caused with his Rev. Wright opening the gates to ‘hate’ against the Jews and whites. I grew up so looking at America as the land of Freedom. I was honored to receive my citizenship accompanied by members of the Kennedy family. Now, I’m afraid for Israel because Barack sat there for 20 years listening and not standing up for what’s right, why would he standup for Israel?
I cried for the Jewish community who are so blind that they can’t see that there’s a movement here that will destroy us. I cried because for the first time in my life I was afraid of the future.
I cried for our world that is moving backwards and not forward. Everyday, I see children so lost, and so deserving of hope and love. I look into their eyes, knowing that it is their lives that are in our hands.
I’m crying now, so I’m going to stop writing because it is so painful. I just had to share this experience with you.

THE UNPLEASANT TRUTH OF BLACK ANTI-SEMITISM
But here’s the bad news: The ADL survey’s “index of anti-Semitic belief” shows that in one segment of American society, Jew-hatred is still strong is among African-Americans. 34 percent of black Americans fit into the ADL’s category of most anti-Semitic. That is compared to only 9 percent of the general population.
Based on my own reporting, unfortunately the poll sounds right on target. In the course of covering the furor over whether the Hartford public schools should be closed in honor of the Nation of Islam’s so-called “Million Man March” I heard a Jew being called a “Christ-Killer” by a Muslim to applause from a black audience. On another occasion during the course of my duties on the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, I was myself subjected to repeated abuse by African-Americans who claimed that “Jews are frauds” — an echo of the weird ideology of the NOI which seeks to demonizes whites in general and Jews in particular.
Blacks are not the only anti-Semites in America — we still have Pat Buchanan and the wackos of the militias and the Klan. But blacks are the only group where such sentiments seem so prominent.
The anti-Jewish and anti-Zionist attitudes of Jesse Jackson, the rise of the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan, as well as the prominence of other Jew- haters such as Khalid Muhmmad and Leonard Jeffries have all pointed in the same direction. Though the majority of African-Americans do not support their ideas, the Farrakhans are not treated as members of the lunatic fringe.
Instead, they are feted as leaders of that community not only by blacks themselves but by the rest of America. Witness, the fact that Farrakhan, whose evil nuttiness was demonstrated on national television during his “Million Man March” is nonetheless accorded the status of national celebrity and worthy of appearances on programs like “Meet the Press.”
A FOUNDING FATHER OF BLACK JEW-HATRED
If we needed any further proof of this trend, there was also the reaction to the death last month of another prominent African-American hater: Kwame Toure a.k.a. Stokley Carmichael. Toure, who died in Guinea, West Africa, was lauded around the country as a “seminal” thinker and black leader.
Temple University Professor Thaddeus P. Mathis wrote last week in the Philadelphia Inquirer that “the life of Kwame Toure, provides a standard by which to measure leadership…the clarity of his vision for a better America and his principled and dedicated leadership live on as criteria by which leaders over the ages can be judged.” In that piece and elsewhere, little was said of his legacy of hate.
Considering the ADL survey results, when Mathis wrote that Toure set the tone for the last three decades of African-American intellectuals, I’d have to admit he was right.
Toure came to prominence in the 1960’s as the head of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee or SNCC. SNCC was originally organized by white and black southern students who were followers of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. But Toure had other ideas.
Starting in 1966, Toure won enormous media attention with violent statements including a call for racist warfare by blacks. In particular, Toure lashed out at the Jews and Israel. Even after he changed his name and moved to Africa, he gained steady applause on U.S. campus speaking tours with his refrain of “the only good Zionist is a dead Zionist.” He claimed the black community was “controlled by an alien ethnic group.” Who was that group: “The culture in our community is controlled by Zionist agents,” he told an ABC news show.
Toure set the standard for a generation of anti-Semitic rap. The familiar litany included the following canards: that Jews controlled the African slave trade; that Jewish control of Hollywood had lent itself to the degradation of blacks; that Israel was a racist nation oppressing people of color, that American Jews subjugated and exploited African-Americans in America’s inner cities; and that Jewish doctors were deliberately injecting the HIV virus which causes AIDS into black babies. Along with the rest of the pseudo- intellectual cant that masquerades as an intellectual discipline called “Afrocenterism,” was the charge that the Jews of today were imposters since the Jews of the Bible were actually black!
That this awful stuff echos the worst propaganda of 19th and early 20th century European anti-Semites (who ironically also hated blacks) makes it all numbingly familiar. But what other studies have shown is that this sort of thinking is more prominent among educated African-Americans. They are a minority, but a significant one.
FORGET ABOUT ‘INGRATITUDE’
What do we do about it? The ADL’s Abe Foxman has rightly called for a more “vigorous effort” to combat this virus of anti-Semitism. He’s right and we have a solid base of the overwhelming majority Jews who are not racist and blacks who are not anti-Semitic to build on.
What we don’t need is a chorus of American Jews crying ingratitude because of Jewish support for civil rights in the past. Blacks don’t owe Jews anything. While a larger percentage of Jews stood up for civil rights than most Americans, most were still silent. But by the same token, Jews owe blacks no apologies for slavery or anything else. The myths about the so-called alliance of blacks and Jews has been exploited by both sides.
What we need is a fresh start and honesty. And also, perhaps a lowering of expectations. But so long as Jew-haters such as Kwame Toure and Louis Farrakhan are accorded a place of honor by African-American intellectuals, the future of dialogue on those terms is bleak.
