McCain discusses Mideast plans, Bush, Baker, Hagee and the Court

By Rob Eshman, Los Angeles Jewish Journal

LOS ANGELES (JTA) — [..] I spoke to the senator, now the presumptive Republican candidate for president, March 26, while he was in Los Angeles for a full schedule of speeches and fundraisers. One of his local supporters arranged the interview, the only one he’s given to the Jewish press since clinching the nomination early last month, and the McCain campaign agreed to talk because they understand something uncommon is happening in this election: The Jewish vote is in play.

A higher percentage of Jews than usual are expected to take a second look at the Republican candidate for president this year. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s not unprecedented. In 1980, when Ronald Reagan ran for president, he got 38 percent of the Jewish vote. Once again, Republicans believe, this could be their year.

To paraphrase Mark Twain, Jews are like most Democrats, only more so.

“A sizable proportion of Democrats would vote for John McCain next November if he is matched against the candidate they do not support for the Democratic nomination,” according to a recent Gallup poll of all Democrats. “This is particularly true for Hillary Clinton supporters, more than a quarter of whom currently say they would vote for McCain if Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee.”

On issues of foreign policy, the Middle East and Israel, Jews will be weighing the candidates carefully.

So as pollster Peter Hart told Maureen Dowd last week, the question voters will ask about Sen. Hilary Clinton, is, “Is she honest?” Of Obama they will ask, “Is he safe?”

[..] All these policies together, McCain said, “will strengthen us to confront the transcendent challenge of our time: The threat of radical Islamic terrorism.”

In turning to the Middle East, he didn’t turn to Israel — and he didn’t mention the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: “The oppression of the autocrats blended with the radical Islamists’ dogmatic theology to produce a perfect storm of intolerance and hatred,” he said, not letting America off the hook for our support of these petro-dictators.

[..] In the World Affairs Council speech, McCain gave a bit more nuance to his statements that America could be in Iraq “another 50 years, 100 years.” When Americans say the cost of Iraq is too high, he said, they mean the cost in lives. To withdraw and leave behind an unstable country would be to destabilize the entire Middle East, to strengthen the forces of Al-Qaeda and Iran. The United States continues to have a military presence, he pointed out, in countries that are now our allies, where past wars are long over: Japan, South Korea and Germany, all places where not a single soldier is at risk. That’s what he meant by staying there.

One could argue that the actual dollar cost is just a bit upsetting to Americans, as well, but McCain pointed out that no one stands outside his speeches protesting the cost of our bases in South Korea (”And they’re protesting everything else,” he said).

Nevertheless, his much-maligned statement came off as neither Strangelovian or Cheney-esque (i.e.; “So?”), but as an informed assertion of America’s power and responsibility, and a pointed rejection of Bush’s foreign policy of the past seven years. Sitting in the Bonaventure ballroom, I realized that the Republicans, finally, after seven years, have the chance to replace a teenager with a grownup.

So when I called the senator later that day for the pre-arranged interview — Hey, Rob, how are you? — I had my questions on Israel, Iraq, etc. all teed up, with my overarching one — are you Bush? — saved for last.

I started with Israel, asking the senator to compare his policies toward Israel to those of Clinton and Obama. I told him my sense is that over the years a bipartisan consensus has developed on the major Israeli-Palestinian issues, no matter who occupies the Oval Office. McCain deflected.

“Well I don’t know what their support is, so it’s hard for me to compare it,” he said.

He reiterated an often-told story he’s made to Jewish groups, about flying to Israel for the first time with the late Sen. Henry “Scoop” Jackson, and landing at the airport, and witnessing Jackson being greeted by Soviet refuseniks he’d helped rescue.

“I’ll never forget that one as long as I live,” he said.

“Look,” he added, “like on other national security issues, it’s a matter of knowledge, background, experience and judgment. That’s all.”

I pointed out that President Bush had waited until the end of his second term to get involved in peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. When would President McCain get involved?

“Immediately,” he said. “And, as I said, I don’t know how many trips I’ve made to Israel. I know all of the leadership well. I know the parameters that they’re operating under, and I feel fully qualified to hit the ground running.”

There also has been a “Battle of the Advisers” going on, with Republican Jews singling out Obama military adviser General Merrill A. “Tony” McPeak for statements that suggest American Jews wield too much influence over America’s Middle East policy. I asked McCain if he puts much stock in such critiques, given that his adviser, former Secretary of State James Baker, has said the same and worse (There was, for instance, Baker’s “F— the Jews,” although I didn’t cite this example).

Former Secretary Baker is not a quote ‘adviser’ of mine,” McCain replied. “It was only recently that former Sec. Baker endorsed me. It was just before some of the later primaries. But look, I in no way distance myself from Secretary Baker and my respect for what he’s done for the country. We just may not agree on every issue that affects the state of Israel, or other issues.”

McCain also defended his support of the controversial Rev. John Hagee, a staunchly pro-Israel evangelical who has been criticized for his anti-Catholic comments. I asked the senator how he would get pro-Israel evangelicals, who have been staunchly opposed to Israel giving up territory or compromising on the status of Jerusalem, to support any peace agreement.

“You can’t jump ahead here,” he said. “I know they favor a peace process. I know they favor that because of my close relations with them, and pastor John Hagee … is one of the leaders of the pro-Israel-evangelical movement in America.”

I started to correct him — Hagee and other evangelicals most certainly don’t support compromise on territory or Jerusalem, and McCain must know this. That’s when I got my first taste of the famous McCain technique: I’ll-talk-so-you-can’t.

“Look,” he cut me off, “I just have to tell you that we should be so grateful for the support of the evangelical movement for the state of Israel, given the influence that they have, beneficial influence that they have over millions of Americans, and then we’ll worry about a peace process later on, but I know that they are committed to peace between Palestinians and Israelis as well.”

McCain had recently returned from a trip to Israel, where he visited the southern town of Sderot (”I always mangle the pronunciation,” he said). I asked him what advice he would give Israel in dealing with the constant barrage of rockets that Hamas regularly fires at Sderot’s residents.

“When I was there I stated unequivocally that every nation has the right to defend itself against attack,” he said.

But he added he wouldn’t presume to give advice.

Then we got to Iraq, the subject where McCain must realize he is the most vulnerable with independent voters, and Jewish voters, who, I pointed out, are largely opposed to the war. Even allowing that McCain’s plan is more developed than his critics have allowed, I asked him whether he would ever be prepared to tell the Iraqis that it is up to them, not us, to choose whether they want to be a stable democracy — or to become Lebanon.

His answer was long, rambling and, given the battle taking place in Basra that very day, a bit worrisome: “I believe that there has been political progress. I want it to be more rapid…. Looks like now we will have provincial elections. They did pass a law on addressing the amnesty issue for Sunnis. There is de facto revenue sharing from the oil revenues. Democracy is tough, so I am gratified by the progress that’s been made militarily, and I see … progress on the social, economic and political front. I believe that the worst thing we can do is set a date for withdrawal, and that’ll be chaos, genocide and, by the way, I also feel that it’ll place the state of Israel in much greater danger because it will enhance the prestige and power of Iran in the region.”

On Iran, McCain gave two different answers. When I asked if negotiations with Iran might help improve relations, he said, unequivocally, “no,” and rejected that recommendation of the Baker-Hamilton Commission. On the other hand, he didn’t rule out speaking with Iranians other than their crazy (my word) president.

“Our ambassador in Iraq, I believe, has been there three times,” McCain said. “There’s been Iranians there in Baghdad. They’ve had conversations. There’s plenty of ways to communicate.”

Does he think the war has strengthened Iran in the region?

“I think that our failures for nearly four years obviously did it,” the senator said. “But I believe that that is being reversed as the surge succeeds, and I think that the Iranians are very possibly going to step up their assistance to the Jihadists, because they don’t want us to succeed in Iraq…. Osama Bin Laden has said that the central front in the battleground is Iraq, and their Palestinian brothers are next. So what are the implications to the State of Israel if they prevail on Iraq? I think they’re very obvious.”

On the domestic front, I praised the senator in his call for energy independence, but pointed out that every president since Richard Nixon has issued the same call. Why would he succeed?

“Because I believe I can inspire the American people,” he said, “and I think that when the price of oil went over $100 a barrel that there was certainly a psychological barrier there.”

Then I turned to judicial nominations: McCain is opposed to legalized abortion, and the idea that he could appoint members of the Supreme Court who would overturn Roe v. Wade would be a deal breaker for many otherwise-McCain-leaning Jews. What would he say to them?

“I have no litmus issues, nor is it proper to do so,” he said, “but I will nominate judges who will strictly interpret the Constitution of the United States. And if that’s the most important issue, that I nominate those people who strictly interpret the constitution of the United States, then I respect [their] priorities.”

In other words, if you don’t like it, vote for the other guy (or gal).

At this point, our allotted 20 minutes were winding down. The senator, I could hear, was in motion. But of course I still had one more question. The Question: What would you say, senator, to the charge that a vote for McCain is a vote for a third Bush term?

“The American people know me,” he said, “and know me well, and that [opinion] is not reflected in the polls, and so I think that they will select a leader that they want based on his or her vision and plans for the future, not the past. Gotta run.”

That was it. We didn’t get to the economy, healthcare, the stuff that decides elections.

Still, for days afterward, the first question people asked me was, “So, are you gonna vote for him now?” Or, as one put it, “Are you going to follow John McCain to the dark side?”

President Bush has understood the dangers facing the world, but was unable or unwilling to address them effectively. The result is a world where America is less safe, and Israel is less secure. From Bush we learned that the answer to the question, “Is he good for Israel?” really should be: “Is he good for America?” Because when America’s strength, leadership and credibility go astray, Israel is endangered.

McCain with his echoes of Truman, Eisenhower and Kennedy, is undeniably more experienced, more learned — a grownup.

McCain has a plan for Iraq, the surge, and it is unfolding before our eyes. He may be out on his limb, but what he says is founded in a deep understanding of foreign policy and the uses and limits of military power. The Democratic candidates have justifiable criticism of the war, and both promise a speedy withdrawal, but they have no plan of what that really means, yet.

So for the Jews, or at least for those of us who think that war, and that region — and not just party loyalty — is still issue No. 1, the ball is in Obama’s and Clinton’s court.

  1. Truly, I don’t want to vote for anyone in 2008, except Jesus Christ. He will remain my vote. However, because DEMOCRATS are the greater evil, I will vote for MCCain, in spite of it all because we have no other choice. That’s as good as it gets this year and IF McCain didn’t lie during his Primary victory speeches and is not a GEORGE SOROS RINGER, and IF he truly believes in the speeches he gave, then he should be given a chance and giving him the benefit of the doubt, based on my first reasons for voting for him over Obama and Hillary, I must choose this man over the rest based on IDEALISM.

BUT WHAT IF HE IS LYING? THEN WE SHOULDN’T VOTE FOR HIM? Obama is now set up to win the Presidency of the United States in 2008 and Republicans are about to be humiliated beyond repair! A terrorist dream come true, Obama is going to destroy our military and destroy America and AMERICA VOTED for him! So your choice to vote is for either OBAMA or MCCAIN and who do you think has the BEST IDEAS? Obama does. What are the motives of OBAMA versus the motives of MCCain? Nobody knows and we take them on FACE VALUE that they are both TELLING US THE TRUTH? Uhm. Probably not. 2008 may very well be the beginning of the end for America, however, as one last and final protest against the democratic party, I will vote for MCCain because despite all the dirt I am about to dig up in this volume on MCCain – he’s all we got for now and I hope he is a changed man with a changed heart who does not dishonor Reagan’s memory.

So here is the DIRTY LAUNDRY of John McCain which has everyone concerned.

    MCCAIN’S GEORGE SOROS CONNECTION

IS MCCAIN A RINGER FOR THE DEMOCRATIC SOROS LEFT OR IS HE TELLING THE TRUTH? IS HE TELLING US WHAT WE WANT TO HEAR, OR DOES HE REALLY BELIEVE WHAT HE IS SAYING? THERE IS A SURFACE VIEW THAT EACH ONE OF US HAS OF THESE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES AND WE VOTE FOR THEM BASED ON IDEALISM. EACH CANDIDATE HAS SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET THAT ARE NEGATIVE AS FAR AS $$$ GOES. IF WE TAKE THE $$$ AWAY, WHAT IS THERE LEFT? IDEAS.

DID MCCAIN LIE ABOUT THE IDEAS HE EXPRESSED IN HIS PRIMARY VICTORY SPEECHES OR IS HE TRULY A CHANGED MAN WHO HAS NO FURTHER CONNECTION WITH GEORGE SOROS TODAY? YOU DECIDE.

I have the constitutional right not to vote, but how can I just sit back and be so lazy as to allow Obama or Hillary win 2008?

I’ll have to hope that MCCain is a repentant man, has learned from past mistakes and will do a good job!

  2. John McCain Gets Soros Cash
Senator John McCain’s Reform Institute has suffered some bad press recently due to its involvement in an influence-peddling scandal with Cablevision. As usual, however, mainstream media have failed to go to the root of the matter.

Founded on June 26, 2001, McCain’s Reform Institute for Campaign and Election Issues has long served as a nerve center for the so-called “campaign finance reform” movement – a movement which has done nothing to clean up campaign finance, but has done a great deal to empower federal judges and government bureaucrats to regulate political speech, in defiance of the Bill of Rights.

Now here’s the kicker. The list of donors published on the Reform Institute’s Web site reads like a veritable Who’s Who of radical, leftwing foundations, including the Tides Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Proteus Fund and George Soros’ Open Society Institute (hat tip, Winfield Myers).

Not surprisingly, in view of the above associations, Arianna Huffington serves on the Reform Institute’s Advisory Board. Huffington has long acted as a front for George Soros’ “campaign finance reform” efforts. In 2000, she organized the so-called Shadow Conventions which provided John McCain with a bully pulpit to stump for his now-infamous McCain-Feingold Act. George Soros shouldered about one third of the cost of the Shadow Conventions. http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/moonbatcentral/2005/03/john-mccain-gets-soros-cash.html

These FACTS are truly tragic. I watched Cavuto’s segment with Ann Coulter and FINALLY understood her resentment and anger that John MCCain became the Primary candidate! This is deeply disturbing and disheartening. If GEORGE SOROS SUPPORTED MCCAIN and MCCAIN ACCEPTED SOROS HELP THAT’S A BAD SIGN! THIS MEANS THAT DEMOCRATS WILL WIN NO MATTER WHAT! THIS MEANS THAT JOHN MCCAIN IS A LIAR and my friend in Israel who seems to know a bit about MCCain also doesn’t like him. The question is: HAS MCCAIN BECOME A CHANGED MAN AND WILL HE REALLY WORK WITH CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS? WILL HE LIVE UP TO THE SERMON HE GAVE LAST WEEK? I do know that people can CHANGE, but this revelation of the GEORGE SOROS connection with McCain is truly a smackdown! I agree with Ann Coulter that this is simply the worst batch of PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES America has ever had!

Remember I told you that Americans are mad at conservatives because of the Bush family conspiracies? This revelation of John Mccain’s affiliation with Soros is truly a tragic revelation that causes any good person to want to withdraw their vote for MCCain this year. However, I have listened to what MCCain has had to say last week and IF he is not lying to everyone and secretly has a Soros agenda (which ought to be asked of him), then perhaps he regrets having affiliations with Kerry and Soros? If not, this is not going to go well for America. A special thanks to Ann Coulter for her revelation of MCCain’s corruption.

I was very glad this week about the Hillary Clinton Smackdown; I thought that a Republican candidate would smack her down, but it turns out that Obama has done that! I just did my homework on Obama who has a Pastor affiliated with Farrakhan. To me, THAT IS MUCH WORSE THAN ANY OF THE OTHER CANDIDATE AFFILIATIONS. The Soros connection with MCCain has just killed my desire to vote for MCCain. Had I known this fact about McCain, I never would have put my confidence behind him as a second choice. My third choice, Huckabee has lost the delegates to MCCain and I can understand the worry and panic of the Fox News Team of not trusting MCCain or having confidence in him due to this terrifying revelation.

It seems to me, that WE ALL HAVE SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET and EVERY POLITICIAN has something BAD going on. We are all in big trouble in the 2008 elections. But what am I supposed to do? Not vote at all for the first time in my life? I’m not a democrat and as a non-partisan voter, I am not a green, not an independent, not libertarian – really, none of the above.

Yet, MCCain will get my vote as the alternatives are 100 times worse!

  3. Accordingly, McCain stated he distanced himself from the Reform Institute when he discovered that George Soros gave them money.

PEOPLE CAN CHANGE! If MCCain is not a George Soros ringer, LIKE OBAMA IS A GEORGE SOROS FUNDED RINGER, then can we trust that he is telling us the Truth? I will give McCain my vote and give him a chance based upon his speeches and actions this year. I share the sentiments of Ted Belman’s original postings - IT DOES MATTER WHERE A PERSON STANDS ON THE LIBERTY AND PROTECTION OF ISRAEL and therefore, I hope I can give MCCain the benefit of he doubt that he is the lesser of all evils………

Will our presence in Iraq help or hurt Israel? I am just worried about John’s Revelation 16:

Rev 16:12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, k and its water was dried up to prepare the way l for the kings from the East. m
Rev 16:13 Then I saw three evil 21 spirits n that looked like frogs; o they came out of the mouth of the dragon, p out of the mouth of the beast q and out of the mouth of the false prophet. r
Rev 16:14 They are spirits of demons s performing miraculous signs, t and they go out to the kings of the whole world, u to gather them for the battle v on the great day w of God Almighty.
Rev 16:15 “Behold, I come like a thief! x Blessed is he who stays awake y and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed.” z
Rev 16:16 Then they gathered the kings together a to the place that in Hebrew b is called Armageddon. c

A NUCLEAR ARMED IRAN wiil be be the biggest candidate next to Syrian for this EASTERN KING invasion of Iraq, which I believe is the battlefield of Armageddon.

IF Iran obtains nuclear weapons, kiss Iraq goodbye. The U.S. military will be wiped out. Israel will have no choice but to use the Samson Option. IF THE U.S. LEAVES IRAQ which is what chimpanzee Obama and gay-lesbian Hillary want to do, IRAN WIPES OUT IRAQ!

We also should be concerned about Syria. We need an American President willing to hang in there and IF McCain is that President, I will be voting for him.

  7. Sunstartmf33’s premise that if someone gives a donation, he controls that candidate. Totally unproven and over expressed. McCain has a long record of honesty and adherence to his principles, even when those principles are not the current fad. We can’t say the same for Hillary (under sniper fire in bosnia) or Obama(never heard Wright damn America). Thinking person’s choice is clear.

One must condemn the judgment of any person who imbues the minds of his children to these teachings: hate a particular group of people because of their race; extol the murder of children because of their religion; despise the country of your birth because you are not in the majority. What type of person wants his children to be nourished by hatred? What outcome does he expect for his children’s future? How does he expect his children to thrive in such an environment and become productive citizens? This man is Barrack Obama. Apparently his wife joins in the decision to expose their children to the weekly vitriol of Jeremiah Wright. Is this the type of person we want as President of the United States?

Furthermore when a teacher (preacher) resorts to blatant untruths in order to poison the minds of his audience, such as: the United States inflicted AIDS on the black population; or the United States caused the murder of 3,000 people on September 11, 2001, this teacher (preacher) must be anathematized. When that same person applauds terrorists’ attempt to destroy a group of innocent people, because of their religion, that person must be damned.

On the other hand one must praise the judgment of a man who was enslaved for five years, but demonstrates we must include all people, regardless of race; we must condemn the murder of children regardless of their religion; we should love our country which provides us with freedom, prosperity and an opportunity to grow in a safe environment. This man is John McCain.

    The choice is obvious.

  9. WINTA WROTE: “Sunstartmf33’s premise that if someone gives a donation, he controls that candidate.”

Uhm. I made no such premise as you suggested. If someone gives a donation to a candidate that means that they ENDORSE, SUPPORT, AND VOTE for that candidate and IF THE CANDIDATE ACCEPTS THAT MONEY they are GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION.

If George Soros came to me and wanted to give me money I would say, “No thank you!” That no thank you costs me my life, but at least I would keep my soul.

Rudy Guiliani refused to accept donations in the name of 9-11; Rudy Guiliani refused to accept $10 million from the Arabs after 9-11. He acted with honor in turning down their money.

When MCCain turned down the Soros donation at the Reform Institute, and distanced himself from the Reform Institute’s acceptance of such a donation - it showed integrity.

YES, IT DOES MATTER WHO YOU ACCEPT MONEY FROM! Yes, it does matter that a billionaire, who funds moveon.org and bad mouths our military and our military’s efforts in the Middle East, FUNDED OBAMA and FUNDED Hillary. Hillary is all chummy with Warren Buffet who is an advocate of partial birth abortions which suck a baby’s brains out, while at the same time encouraging Hillary to pay each baby born $5,000.00 for College.

If you accept MONEY from a person whose agenda is clearly bent on evil - then you are guilty by association!

The whole world is guilty of buying and selling with OPEC countries - even Israel!

  10. Winta, to Obama I would say:

    GOD DAMN REVEREND WRIGHT!
    GOD DAMN REVEREND WRIGHT’S CHURCH!
    GOD DAMN FARRAKHAN!
    GOD DAMN OBAMA!

Now, I meant this with a sense of humor, of course, given the proper context, i threw their statement, “God Damn America!” right back at them.

As for anyone who concludes that I’m a hater or prejudiced I would reply, “I’m not prejudiced: I HATE everybody!”

No, seriously, I don’t hate anybody. My hatred is in a Biblical context:

The dictionary definition of HATE is:
    1. TO DISLIKE INTENSELY OR PASSIONATELY
    2. FEEL EXTREME AVERSION OR HOSTILITY TOWARD
    3. DETEST
    4. TO BE UNWILLING
    5. A DEEP-ROOTED HORROW AND A SENSE OF REPUGNANCE
    6. TO FIND SICKENING
    7. COMPLETE REJECTION
    8. A SENSE OF DISDAIN
HATE is violent and REPUGNANCE is nausea.
The kind of HATE that the NIV expresses is not a violent kind of hate or some verbal hate crime which would threaten, intimidate, harass, or injure someone. In the case of the Ku Klux Klan, their form of HATE is violent, confrontational, abusive, murderous, immoral, and sinful.
What God HATES is what God finds detestable or repugnant and whatever He, according to His Holy standards considers UNHOLY, can be considered repugnant and detestable to us too, since we have His Holy Spirit within us..
It is within this context that we are discussing the REPUGNANCE of God’s attitude toward sin.

  11. What does God HATE?

Dt 16:21 Do not set up any wooden Asherah pole 28 e beside the altar you build to the LORD your God, f
Dt 16:22 and do not erect a sacred stone, g for these the LORD your God hates.
God does not hate all people who are in slavery, but hates the principles that cause human slavery and suffering.

    Rebellion Against the LORD

Dt 1:26 But you were unwilling to go up; l you rebelled m against the command of the LORD your God.
Dt 1:27 You grumbled n in your tents and said, “The LORD hates us; so he brought us out of Egypt to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites to destroy us.
Dt 1:28 Where can we go? Our brothers have made us lose heart. They say, ‘The people are stronger and taller o than we are; the cities are large, with walls up to the sky. We even saw the Anakites p there.’ ”
Dt 1:29 Then I said to you, “Do not be terrified; do not be afraid q of them. r
Dt 1:30 The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight s for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes,
Dt 1:31 and in the desert. There you saw how the LORD your God carried t you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.” u
Dt 1:32 In spite of this, v you did not trust w in the LORD your God,

The Holy Bible, New International Version. Dt 12:31.

Dt 12:31 You must not worship the LORD your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the LORD hates. x They even burn their sons y and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods. z

The Holy Bible, New International Version. Pradis CD-ROM:Pr 6:16.

Pr 6:16 There are six things the LORD hates, b seven that are detestable to him:
Pr 6:17 haughty eyes, c a lying tongue, d hands that shed innocent blood, e
Pr 6:18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, f
Pr 6:19 a false witness g who pours out lies h and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers. i

    1. HAUGHTY EYES
    2. A LYING TONGUE
    3. HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD
    4. HEART THAT DEVISES WICKED SCHEMES

  16. So it is within this Biblical context that I am a HATER!

    Comment by sunstartmf33 — April 10, 2008 @ 7:18 pm

  17. HATRED against God is something quite different from the kind of HATE that we have when we believe in God and oppose all that He commands is unholy. Because I am the THIRD generation of two grandfathers who HATED Jesus Christ, I have been cursed with the utmost curses until I wake up, strengthen what remains and is about to die.
God is not content to curse us and leave us condemned in a curse. He can take us out of a generational curse when we make a choice to humble ourselves before Him and submit our souls to obeying His commands and laws. There are steps to overcoming the sins of the world:
    1. ACKNOWLEDGE SIN
    2. RENOUNCE SIN
    3. CONFESS SIN
    4. REPENT OF SIN
To break the curse, one must receive God’s blessings by fully obeying His teachings.

  22. As for Samantha, JUST STATING THE FACTS!

TRUTH is only OFFENSIVE to those who live in a lie!

You can call me a HATER within a Biblical context all you want - Obama and Hillary are HATERS of America and Israel - and they can lie like the devil all they want or like Herod, falsely say they too want to go worship Jesus - but the TRUTH is that they are NOT CHRISTIANS -and they could hardly care less about America and israel as their actions have proven!

Samantha, if you are OFFENDED, then that is a good thing! There is nothing that Obama, Hillary or the devil can do to offend God, because the offenses they committ against the God of Israel and the faithful Americans will only recoil on themselves.

You see, I exercise my freedom of speech with a sense of humor and it is within the context of a sense of humor that I throw a Biblical form of HATE SPEECH right back at those who utilize HATE speech towards America and Israel.

That is my motive! I have just learned to laugh at life and people and use a twisted sense of humor to throw your mockery against the God of Israel and the Israeli State right back at you.

In AMERICA we have the RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH, FREE PRESS, AND FREE RELIGION and if a communist like Samantha doesn’t like it - no FREE person cares!

As a FREE man, I will continue to offend those who offend Israel and America and defend the good and decent folks who aren’t part of the devil’s strategy to confuse, hate, divide, unite, destroy………..

Also, anyone who knows me knows that I use humor rather than violence and considering that both of my grandfathers were affiliated with the mafia, while my father and I were not, using HUMOR rather than violence is a much better plan!

And I feel completely secure and confident in being a HATER within the context of the verses I posted above - I’m PROUD OF IT!

I will continue to offend those who are offensive to God’s Truth, Justice, and American/Israeli way!

  23. OBAMA and HILLARY advocate gay rights, therefore, they HATE the God of Israel and the God of Israel’s Law:

The following Biblical principles define reasons why the God of Israel rejects homosexuality as immoral:
    1. Leviticus 18:22–”Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.”
    2. Leviticus 20:13–”If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”
    3. Deuteronomy 22:5–”A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.”
    4. Romans 1:26-27–”God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.”
    5. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10–”Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes NOR HOMOSEXUAL OFFENDERS nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you WERE.”
So we read here that God finds homosexuality: OFFENSIVE, DETESTABLE, INDECENT, UNHOLY, WICKED, IMMORAL and WRONG. No UNREPENTANT HOMOSEXUAL OFFENDERS will inherit God’s Kingdom.

No, it is homosexual offenders and those who defend them who are OFFENSIVE Samantha and for you to vote for Hillary and obama means that you HATE ISRAEL’S GOD first!

  25. America is bleeding and bleeding daily. Thousands of casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan, billions of dollars being expended monthly on endless futile wars and the cretins are boring us to death quoting scripture:- a totally useless exercise.

None of the Presidential candidates have any magic solutions as to how to extricate America from the traps that it find itself ensnared in. The Generals and the President talk about progress being made, but failing to mention that the progress is measured in inches.

Remember that all great empires have fallen because of the kind of situation that the U.S. finds itself in today. No dramatic blow suffered overnight, but rather the slow gradual decline due to being overextended militarily, economically and in every other way.

Obama at least has the good judgement to recognize this downward trend. And for those who keep aping the failed U.S. leadership by repeating the phrase, let us not cut and run, remember the only beneficiaries of this policy are the deadly enemies of the west and Israel. That is Iran, Syria and the Al-Qaeda.

I hate to see what you might do if the topic was Love and not hate?

I know of no really honest politician and few really honest people not in politics so the honesty question is relative. In politics everyone has backers and all backers large and small have an agenda and expect payback in some form. The Larger the donation the larger the Payback expected. Money can be translated into votes and I know of no Politician that would turn down money if it could mean losing an election. As a Jew and Israeli citizen I take no comfort from the associations McCain has or claims that he will bring into his administration if elected. If anything these people are worse that the ones hanging with Obama and Hillary.

Abortion is not as critical or emotional issue here as it is in America. It is a Personal, religious, moral, and medical question that should not be to my mind be a major qualification for the office of the Presidency. What does that have to do with fighting WW3 or 4? the economy? Social equality under the law? Immigration etc. To my mind there are many moral issues in every country and all must take a back seat to more mundane issues of Existential threats to all our societies first.

  28. Where Is American Jewry?

    Elyakim Haetzni - Mar 26, 2008
    The Jewish Press

This is to my mind an important article that needs to be answered!! I have no explanation or remedy but I am here and not there!

Complaints we have in Israel against American Jews are not directed at the various George Soroses or Noam Chomskys, or at those Jews uninterested in the fate of the Jews in the Jewish state. We address our cries to those for whom Eretz Yisrael still holds a place in their hearts – and to their organizations and institutions. We ask them the following: Where are you in our hour of need? Don’t you know that if we sink, the ground beneath your own feet will quake? Have you not yet learned that the very fact that the Jews have their own country has buttressed your status in the Diaspora?

Until this very day you regret your silence during the Holocaust, which derived from your great admiration for President Franklin D. Roosevelt and from the fear of being accused of dual loyalties. Today when you weigh those fears against the annihilation of the millions, you see matters in their proper proportions. Yet today your conscience is called upon once more to make a similar decision – albeit one much simpler, for today’s America is not like the anti-Semitic America of that time.

Don’t you understand the danger looming over Israel? The entire world, led by the United States, is hunting Israel down to wrest from it Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria, the Land of the Bible – its entire raison d’etre as a Jewish state.

Don’t you see how the entire Negev and the country’s south are being shelled or are under threat of shelling from rockets and missiles as a result of the Gaza withdrawal, the destruction of dozens of settlements and the transformation of 10,000 Jews to refugee status? Did their outcry touch your heart? Do you hear today’s cries coming from Sderot and Ashkelon?

Don’t you know that while the rockets are falling in the south, Syria and Hizbullah in Lebanon are preparing an attack from the north, and that at this moment tens of thousands of their missiles are aimed at the heart of our country?

Take note that only the center of the country still enjoys calm. The only reason for that is that the army controls Judea and Samaria, and that is because there are hundreds of Jewish towns there (“the settlements,” in the language of our enemies). And now, the United States is pressuring your Jewish brethren in Israel to dispense with even that defense. President Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have sworn to establish a Palestinian terror state right next to Tel Aviv, Netanya, Hadera and Haifa before year’s end – and toward that end, expel 300,000 of our Jewish brothers and sisters.

And faced with all this, you remain silent? Worse, most of your organizations support this anti-Jewish, pro-Arab policy! Today, missiles are flying from the ruins of Gush Katif and landing in the Negev. On the day that missiles are being launched from the ruins of the Jewish towns in Samaria, please don’t say, “We didn’t see. We didn’t hear. We didn’t know.”

You knew very well! The Annapolis Conference, in which a blind, stumbling, defeatist Israeli government open to American pressure knowingly consented to commit national suicide, occurred in your country. Rice, whose total identification with Palestinian interests is patently obvious, is applauded by your audiences. And you call President Bush, the man with the “vision” of a Palestinian state that will endanger every city and village in Israel, “the greatest friend Israel ever had in the White House.” You say this when in reality (and history will be the judge) he is the first president openly and explicitly raising the demand and exerting heavy pressure to establish in our midst a devil, a dragon, a dybbuk – in the form of an Islamic, Arabic, radical terrorist state called by the false name of “Palestine.” That state would transform every day in the life of the Jewish state to Hell. And all this for the sake of a fictitious people and a fictitious land that never existed throughout history.

Other voices in the Republican camp, namely Vice President Dick Cheney, senators and congressmen, have not enjoyed support from most of American Jewry, and have subsequently become silent. Quite the opposite, countless Jewish organizations have been supporting the Palestinian agenda.

Many Jews in America have good reason to be embarrassed that the only organized American community supporting the rights of the Jewish people to its historic homeland in Judea and Samaria and its eternal capital, Jerusalem, consists of non-Jews. They are the Evangelical Christians. For Jews faithful to their patrimony, some Christian churches are more open today than many Jewish temples. Their organizations and media are more open to nationalistic Jews than are the mainstream Jewish establishment. They visit Hebron, Shiloh and Beit El – places that many Jewish leaders stay away from.

Everyone talks about the political power of American Jewry, but from here we see only the weakness and lockstep obedience to every presiding administration. We ask ourselves, “Why do Christian pastors have no inhibitions about criticizing their president regarding his policy toward Israel, while Jewish rabbis wouldn’t dare?”

Today, money is not the critical factor. It is political pressure capable of meeting the enormous Arab pressure. Regarding your historic omission during the Holocaust, when you failed to exercise your power as Queen Esther did in her time (ignoring the risk to her own life), you have tried to atone with money. Yet all the money in the world cannot bring back to life a single Jewish child. Even today, it is not money that can save us, but rather the political power that you are afraid to exercise. It looks like today, when the American Jewish community is flourishing as never before and enjoying the height of acceptance by the public at large, you do not feel secure enough; hence you are doing the only safe thing – swimming with the flow and cheering on the regime, even at the expense of your besieged brethren in the Holy Land.

I conclude with two requests: First, that those Jews who support the Palestinian line should at least not emphasize their Jewishness, and add the weight of their “Jewish witnessing” to the brunt of pressure being applied on us. Second, that the not insignificant number of Jews who, like Mordechai in the Scroll of Esther, do not bow down before the president of the United States when he sets out to replace the vision of the prophets with the “vision” of Palestine, should organize themselves and establish an organization paralleling the Jewish protest organizations that in Israel face off with the government and block with their bodies the slippery slide down the Palestinian slope.

Today, like the air we breathe, we need an organized Jewish political force in the United States that, together with our non-Jewish friends in America and the Jewish nationalist camp in Israel, can breach the siege that is closing us off.

Attorney Elyakim Haetzni, among Hebron’s original settlers, is a prominent publicist for Eretz Yisrael causes.

This support crosses denominational lines: 89 percent of evangelicals and 76 percent of Catholics agree with the statement. Fully half of all Christians are against any division of Jerusalem, as opposed to 17 percent who support it.

This data creates a difficult question for Rabbi Eric Yoffie, leader of the Reform movement in Judaism, who recently engaged in a nasty public exchange with the evangelical Rev. John Hagee. Hagee supports Israel, opposes the division of Jerusalem, and generally takes positions than can be labeled, in Israeli terms, as right-wing. Yoffie, a diehard fan of the peace process and a supporter of dividing Jerusalem, told his followers that an alliance with Christian Zionists like Hagee is intolerable, and that Hagee’s group, Christians United for Israel, is “extremist.”

There is nothing new in American Jewish discomfort with Christian Zionism. It stems, I think, from a fear of proselytizing and latent anti-Semitism, which today makes almost no sense at all. I can understand liberal Jews opposing conservative Christians on American political issues. They really do have differing views on what America should look like. But to reject an alliance with Christian Zionists on the grounds that they don’t support the particular peace-process policies that most Reform Jews do, or that some such Christians entertain the belief that in the end times all Jews will convert, is to blind oneself to the basic strategic struggle that the Jewish state faces. In liberal terms, it is intolerant. In Zionist terms, it is cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face.

By placing his commitment to particular political positions ahead of support for Israel itself, Yoffie risks becoming the chief critic of Israel’s most consistent and influential allies in the world. Why on earth?

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/hazony/3295read all comments to this articlw I found them more interesting than the article: this is also an add on to my posting #28 and it gives a logical direction for any Israeli Policy in opposing Bush, Condi, Olmert and Livni plans in the making. It also gives substance and answers to our friends Peskin and davidsil. We have the American peoples support in rejecting Bushes plans for us. We can say no with no consequences. I still say this is more Olmert than Bush!!

  31. YAMIT 82 WROTE:

“I can live pretty much with McCain as President Lol as if I really am in a position to determine who becomes President. My personal choice would be none of the current gallery!! All I guarantee will stick it to Israel and not be good for Jews in General. Every time Jews voted in the past for one they believed would be best or at least best of the worst for the Jews they have been wrong. My gut tells me to go with the one who we perceive to be the worst and hope to be surprised!”

    ISRAEL IS GOD’S IDEA.
ISRAEL DOES NOT BELONG TO THE U.N.
ISRAEL DOES NO BELONG TO THE ROTSCHILDS.
ISRAEL, BIBLICALLY DOES NOT BELONG TO APOSTATE KINGS WHO SET UP OTHER GODS BESIDES THE GOD OF ISRAEL.
ISRAEL DOES NOT BELONG TO PALESTINIAN ISLAMIC ARABS.
ISRAEL DOES NOT BELONG TO ARABIA, SYRIA, IRAN, EGYPT, JORDAN, EUROPE, RUSSIA OR ANY OF THE U.N. POWERS.
ISRAEL DOES NOT BELONG TO THE UNITED STATES.

THE LAND AND STATE OF ISRAEL, AS defined by Torah, belongs exclusively to the Jewish Faithful and when I say: “Jewish Faithful,” I do not mean Christians or Catholics or replacement Churches or apostate synagogues of Satan claiming to be Jewish - I mean JEWISH ISRAEL WHO IS FAITHFUL TO BIBLICAL THOUGHT AND LAW.

It is True that God’s Mountain belongs exclusively to Israel alone and to no one else.

REAL CHRISTIANS approach the Throne of the God of Israel by the blood of Jesus Christ and we don’t have to go through the Torah Law to have a relationship with Him. However, for ISRAEL, God’s Covenant in the Land and in His Law are permanent and their uniqueness as a nation has been set apart ABOVE all the nations.

In order to PROTECT ISRAEL, we still need our U.S. presence in the Middle East. No matter what the illuminati oil sheiks and barons motives in securing their oil and petroleum and economic interests, something bad on their part is bringing about a greater good - a total annhiliation of Israel by Israel’s hostile neighbors.

If America leaves Iraq, all Islamic states will unite against Israel, so for now, Israel must cope with terrorism as militants from Islamic states attack Israel daily. My hope is that the U.S. is planning to help Israel by destroying the current regime of Iran.

Only with a U.S./Israel alliance can Iran be defeated.

We can’t trust Obama or Hillary with such a crucial decision. As much as we don’t like McCain’s history, to trust him with our future is tough - but a current necessity since America has no other choice.

I’ll give McCain a chance over Hillary and Obama - knowing he will most likely make even more mistakes as any other President has done - but won’t be as bad as the mistakes the Clintons made all throughout the 1990s when they committed treason against the U.S. and Israel.

    Yamit 82 - I share your sentiments.

I just say: KILL THEM ALL!

Let’s tell Reverend Wright: THAT’S IN THE BIBLE! THE GOD OF ISRAEL SAYS, “KILL THEM ALL!”

    According to the Holy bible:

    1. Genesis 13:10-17 says – “The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, ‘Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go, walk through the breadth of the land. For I am giving it to you.”
    2. Genesis 17:8 says –“The whole land of Canaan, where you are now alien, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God.”
    3. Genesis 17:18-21 says – “And Abraham said to God, ‘If only Ishmael might live under your blessing!’ Then God said, ‘Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation. BUT MY COVENANT I WILL ESTABLISH WITH ISAAC, whom Sarah will bear to you….” What about the Muslims? Genesis 21:9-10 and verse 12 says – “But Sarah saw that the son whom Hagar the Egyptian had borne to Abraham was mocking, and she said to Abraham, ‘Get rid of that slave woman and her son, for that slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac.’ God said to Abraham, ‘Listen to whatever Sarah tells you, because it is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.’”
    4. Genesis 26:3 says –“Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you Isaac and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.”
    5. Genesis 28:12-14 says—“Jacob had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. There above it stood the Lord, and he said: ‘I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.”
    6. Exodus 6:2-4, 7-8 says – “God said to Moses, ‘I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the Lord I did not make myself known to them. I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, where they lived as aliens….I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God…And I will bring you to the land I swore with an uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I AM THE LORD.”
    7. Exodus 13:5 & 11 says – “When the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Hivites and Jebusites—the land he swore to your forefathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey—you are to observe this ceremony in this month….After the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites and gives it to you, as he promised on oath to your forefathers, you are to give over to the Lord the first offspring of every womb.”
    8. Exodus 19:5-6says – “Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is MINE, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.”
    9. Exodus 23:27 – 28 & 31-32 says – “I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run. I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive out the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way…..I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the River, and I will hand over to you the people who live in the land and you will drive them out before you. DO NOT MAKE A COVENANT WITH THEM OR WITH THEIR GODS. DO NOT LET THEM LIVE IN YOUR LAND, or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you.”
    10. Exodus 34:11-15 says—“Obey what I command you today. I will drive out before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you. Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles. Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices.”
    11. Joshua 1:2-5 says – “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give them—to the Israelites. I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Great Sea on the west.”
    12. Joshua 11:16-23 says – “So Joshua took this entire land: the hill country, all the Negev, the whole region of Goshen, the western foothills, the Arabah and the mountains of Israel with their foothills, from Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir, to Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon below Mount Hermon. He captured all their kings and struck them down, putting them to death. Joshua waged war against all these kings for a long time. Except for the Hivites living in Gibeon, not one city made a treaty of peace with the Israelites, who took them all in battle. For it was the Lord himself who hardened their hearts to wage war against Israel, so that he might destroy them totally, exterminating them without mercy, as the Lord had commanded Moses.”
    13. Leviticus Chapters 12 – 21 define what the Borders of Israel shall be recognized as God’s Eternal decree.. The Land of Israel belongs to God and to the obedient Jewish Children of Israel. As defined in the Torah, the Twelve Tribes Of Israel inherited the Promised Land through Joshua’s war campaign. The Islamic peoples have no right to dwell on Israelite soil, nor does any other secular or religious government, for God’s Covenant with Israel through Isaac’s Offspring is everlasting. The PLO is not recognized by God as a legitimate government on Israeli soil on the basis of what the Scriptures teach. Allah is a false god and Muhammad is a false prophet. If Israel desires to gain back their own land as defined in the Torah, then they have a Right under God to remove the Muslims and any other religion from their country as defined in the Torah. If Muslims are exiled from the Land of Israel, they should be resettled among the Nations of Islam and they have many places to choose. For Israel to have complete Peace, Islamic Palestine must be permanently removed from the soil of Israel. The will of the world community views this as being impossible and strongly opposes Zionism, because shaking hands in PEACE with the PLO brings economic security to all nations. The 6-day war of the 6th month of 1967 was justified as Israel gained back what was supposed to be their inheritance given to them by God. The Golan Heights, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, Hebron, Jericho, Bethlehem, and all towns surrendered to the Muslim Palestinians belongs to Israel. Any peace treaties signed between secular Jewish authorities and pagan Palestinians are to be considered null and void if and when Muslim Palestinians break those treaties. What if Israel breaks the treaties first? Islamic fundamentalists hate Jews and Christians because of their pagan religion which the God of Israel does not recognize as anything outside of a clever lie. The Nation of Israel has the Right, under God, to defend its own Government and the Promised Land against violent Muslims who oppose Israeli Sovereignty as a Nation with their dead pagan god and their false prophet. Since the Peace Treaties were signed between secular Israelis and terrorists through Compromise and Greed for Money, Power, and Wealth, those Treaties do not have to be recognized by this Constitution once the Islamic Palestinians break their Treaty and initiate war against Israel. God will fight for Israel if Israel fights for God. This condition will only be applied if the Muslim Palestinians or any other secular, pagan, or Islamic country attacks Israel with any form of weapons or warfare. However, if the Muslim Palestinians co-exist in Peace with Israel without violence or provocation, then the New Constitution will consent to Israel sharing their land with the Muslims even though the Land of Israel belongs to Israel. All terrorist organizations are to be utterly condemned as well as any nation who supports or finances terrorists who attack Christians and Jews. What would God’s answer to Israel be through the name of Christ? To love their enemies and share the land, provided that Islamic terrorists who murder people for religion be entirely uprooted and silenced.
    14. Joshua 11 – 24 describes Israel’s inheritance as God Promised.
    15. Ezekiel 37:21-26 says—“This is what the Sovereign Lord says—“I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms. They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding, and I will cleanse them. They will be my people, and I will be their God. My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever. I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant…..”
    16. RESTORATION of the Israelite exiles began under Cyrus (559-530 B.C.), who allowed the Jewish remnant to return to Judah with the captured Temple treasures.
    17. THE TEMPLE was consecrated by official permission of Darius I (522-486 B.C.)
    18. EZRA won the approval of Artaxerxes (465-424 B.C.) to return with additional exiles; Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
    19. ESTHER 8:11 & 13 says –“King Xerxes edict granted the Jews in every city the right to assemble and protect themselves; to destroy, kill and annihilate any armed force of any nationality or province that might attack them and their women and children; and to plunder the property of their enemies…..A copy of the text of the edict was to be issued as law in every province and made known to the people of every nationality so that the Jews would be ready on that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.” The Jewish people may not attack Christians on Christian soil or even on Israelite soil, because Christians will support the establishment of Israel as a Nation. However, King Xerxes edict will be supported by the New Constitution. The Nation of Israel has the right to defend itself against all enemies who oppose her and wish to dominate Israel’s soil.
    20. FEAST OF HANUKKAH shall be recognized as a legitimate Holiday. The Jewish war of independence fought against the King of Syria, Antiochus Epiphanes, by Judas Maccabees which covers the years 167 – 134 B.C. should be recognized for it also solidifies Israel’s historical and God-given right to its own land by the right of conquest.

  34. Any Christian or Jew who has an opposing “VIEWPOINT” on the above verses is not a Biblical Believer.

Biblical Believers, whether Christian or Jewish, go by what the Bible says and polls don’t matter. Popular ‘democratic’ opinion doesn’t matter. If over half the nation votes for Satan, it doesn’t matter. It is God’s Words that MATTER and Earth has already proven that the wages of sin is DEATH.

The world died because the world refused to get rid of foreign gods and bow before the God of Israel. Christians went wrong because they left the God of Israel to worship some other god, some other Jesus. Most Christians don’t even know that Jesus was and is the God of Israel!

Most Jews don’t understand that the God of Israel becamse one of us and walked on earth for 33 years in the name of Yeshua/Jesus. What replacement theology Christians don’t understand is that THE GOD OF ISRAEL IS WORSHIPED by Jews just as much as Christians - but you can’t say that about Islam or any other religion, because anyone who rejects the God of Israel as EXCLUSIVE MESSIAH is setting up another god next to the God of Israel.

What Muslims don’t understand is that Allah is a false god and Muhammad a false prophet and if MUSLIMS HAD A REAL EDUCATION, by comparing the Koran with the Bible they would discover that both books do not compliment each other at all - there are three different gods being worshiped.

However, all BIBLICAL BELIEVERS define the State of Israel by the verses I just posted and if Samantha and Steve Klein want to sit around whining and complaining about being “offended” by God’s Law or being “offended” by my exercise of FREE SPEECH, FREE RELIGION, AND FREE PRESS, then these people are slaves and don’t understand that they have been set free to make a case for the God of Israel - whom they are blasphemying when they spout a bunch of jargon that is not Biblically based.

That is why I approach such throne dwarves with a sense of humor - those who mock the God of Israel and vote for people who mock the God of Israel - will themselves become a byword - and I don’t have any trouble expressing the reasons why America, Israel, Steve Klein, or Samantha have become a byword among nations when they vote for villians like Obama and Hillary who are in opposition to God’s Laws, as defined in the Torah and the Prophets.

Those who have THE TRUTH are not easily offended, while those who live in a lie are offended!

Those who offend the God of Israel will be offended!
Those who love the God of Israel will be defended!

That is my approach! And whether they like it or not - I could hardly care less. I will continue to be a HATER of those who hate the God of Israel and I will continue to be a HATER of those who HATE Israel and I will continue to be a HATER of Obama and Hillary because they HATE THE GOD OF ISRAEL!

That, to me, is TRUE LOVE! I just love it when they give me their LOVE YOUR ENEMIES speech by quoting Jesus Christ, because THEY DON’T BELIEVE IN HIM, yet quote his words, when they don’t LOVE THEIR ENEMY - the God of Israel. Interesting.

  35. Peskin: #29

I care about what happens in the U.S. because its policies and actions impacts on Canada and for that matter on Israel and the rest of the world.America’s present economic crises effects every nation on the Globe. Yes that includes Israel. And its political and military reversals in the mid-east also influences how it reacts t

I will accept your explanation as logical.

srael is not living in a bubble, it is not a nation unto itself. It is involved in this world NOW, not in biblical times and it has to calibrate its approach to the Arabs in Keeping with present realities. We can’t go back to 1967, where a purely military response sufficed.

With oil in excess of $100. a barrel, with the looming world recession, with food shortages, with the upteen other problems facing the peoples of the world we just cannot pretend that Israel can simply do what it wishes and ignore all of that

Lets reverse your premise; How should we calibrate our approach to the Arabs> Arabs are not monolithic and conflicts, hatreds, intercene rivalries and wealth, religion play more heavily on their behavior and policies than anything Israel might do or not do. While noone in the World gives a shit about Israels or my well being I don’t see why theirs should concern me except where it might have a downside to our existance and or well being but we all have a different take on what that might be. There is a military solution and that is the only possible solution, it just has to be waged without the restraints and constraints both imposed within and from the out side of our political and military leadership for many years now. Put another way ; we tried your way with disaterous results and now my way , a Jewish biblical way that says an eye for an eye is not good enough for an eye will kill you , your whole family, your neighbors , your tribe or clan and if need be your whole people from the smallest and youngest to the elderly, what ever it takes.

Moses set the ultimate precedent when he killed the Egyptian for merely beating a Jew. Moses exceeded “an eye for an eye” on tactical level, but reestablished the reciprocity of damages on a macro level. His action shows that enemies of the Jews are collectively liable, and each of them could suffer for others’ offenses. Moses killed the Egyptian not for beating a Jew, but to punish an enemy for depredations of other Egyptians against the Jews. Moses’ example guides Israel in dealing with Arab enemies.
Moses launched a terrorist campaign against Egyptian civilians on the divine command, from crops’ destruction to annihilation of civilian firstborn. Israel followed through with the example, and launched hostage taking (of Jordanians by young Arik Sharon) and aircraft hijacking (of Syrian passenger jet to exchange for Israeli POWs).

Amalekites were naturally upset by a huge number of Hebrews entering their domain. The Hebrew purpose of building a state which infringes on Amalek’s sovereignty violated the Amalekites’ rights. Hebrews did not evaluate a reasonable compromise of integrating Amalekites into the Jewish state. Courageous freedom fighters from among the Amalekite tribes continuously attacked the Hebrews. For a long time, Hebrews were not sufficiently strong to stop the insurgency – but remembered the damage. In the last echo of Exodus, Saul exterminated the Amalekites and the prophet Samuel personally cut down their king Agag. It would be nice to see a chief rabbi of Israel hacking Abu Mazen to pieces.

We want the Land of Israel for the entirely rational reason: Jews want to live alone, apart from Jew-haters. Certainly, without Arabs. In the country with defensible borders and depth of defense. With moderate historical and religious connection. And we have enough weapons to realize these goals.
