Deadliest counter-terrorism weapon so far… the plague!!

At least 40 al-Qaeda fanatics died horribly after being struck down with the disease that devastated Europe in the Middle Ages.
The killer bug, also known as the plague, swept through insurgents training at a forest camp in Algeria, North Africa. It came to light when security forces found a body by a roadside.
The victim was a terrorist in AQLIM (al-Qaeda in the Land of the Islamic Maghreb), the largest and most powerful al-Qaeda group outside the Middle East.
It trains Muslim fighters to kill British and US troops.
Now al-Qaeda chiefs fear the plague has been passed to other terror cells — or Taliban fighters in Afghanistan.
One security source said: “This is the deadliest weapon yet in the war against terror. Most of the terrorists do not have the basic medical supplies needed to treat the disease.
“It spreads quickly and kills within hours. This will be really worrying al-Qaeda.”
The al-Qaeda epidemic began in the cave hideouts of AQLIM in Tizi Ouzou province, 150km east of the capital Algiers. The group, led by wanted terror boss Abdelmalek Droudkal, was forced to turn its shelters in the Yakouren forest into mass graves and flee.
The extremists supporting madman Osama bin Laden went to Bejaia and Jijel provinces — hoping the plague did not go with them.
A source said: “The emirs (leaders) fear surviving terrorists will surrender to escape a horrible death.”
AQLIM boss Droudkal claims to command around 1,000 insurgents. Training camps are also based in Morocco, Tunisia and Nigeria.
One wonders if the Plague might break out in similar hideouts in Hamastan and Hezbollehstan to round out the deadly effectiveness of this this latest counter-terrorist bio weapon. Amazing what those fleas lurking in the fur of rodents can do. The Plague reportedly wiped out a third of Europe’s population during period of the Black Death in the 14th century. England and other continental countries suffered several outbreaks of plague in the 17th Century decimated the populations. Even reports of outbreaks of the deadly Hantavirus have occurred in the American southwest in the 20th Century. Now, perhaps, it is the Jihadi’s turn to be decimated by this deadly bio-warfare killer.
Sounds like real B.S. to me. The bubonic plague which caused such devastation in London in the 1600s, and in other parts of Europe during the Middle Ages, took several days to incubate and more days to bring about death. Pneumonic plague is more deadly, I believe; because its spread is airborne, whereas bubonic plague is spread by bites from fleas. The fleas inhabit rats, ground squirrels and such creatures. In London, combatting the disease was hampered by ignorance about it, mainly because people thought (wrongly) that it was passed from human to human.
Any disease that kills “within hours” is, because of that very trait, not a serious candidate for epidemics. Ebola is a good example: It is so deadly, it tends to kill off its hosts so quickly that it soon runs out of “food”. It is apparently only kept alive, because it does NOT have such a devastating effect on some species, such as perhaps monkeys, which preserve it until a new trans-species encounter causes a fresh outbreak.
The present piece will probably turn out to be pure propaganda. I don’t think Al Qaeda is any more concerned about the plague, than it is about the cost of women’s bras at Target — probably even less so.

One thing to consider is that this did not start by a random case that was spread, but from a managed project that got loose and out of control - a “work-place-accident.”
What makes anyone think that this is happenstance? Although, it could be a chance encounter, bio-terrorism experts would do well to get samples and watch for this popping up somewhere.

Israel could solve the Hamas problem by just dumping a ton of plague-infected rats upon Gaza City. Its a very elegant way of solving a mortal threat. Of course the problem is the Jews are too humane to exterminate the Hamas vermin.

I second that, Yamit. I’d like to see the Free World’s moonbats live under Islamist rule. It should be a life-altering experience for the useful idiots and Israel’s bleeding heart leftists in particular, in Hamastan would meet the same fate as the Iranian Tudeh.

Sounds like a lab backfire. They want to let something loose in America most likely. A plague would wipe out the third world while only scratching the first world.

Max, America’s enemies will not come to love America just because its new President has a different skin color. The differences between America and them revolve around values, beliefs and interests. I don’t deny a statesman’s personality can help to improve the atmosphere between nations. But only up to a point, of course. Once the euphoria over Obama has passed, the reality will soon set in. America cannot cease being America and none of her enemies will really change their attitude towards America just because the new President smiles upon the world. It makes not one whit of difference to their enmity towards this country.

Of course not. Jihad is Jihad. The more there is peace the better it is for Jihad.
They will love Obama because he is weak. They will negotiate their terrorism with him and make inroads concessions and advances. . And when they have finished using him and others like him as far as they can go and America is weak enough they will end their crocodile smiles and finish off the West somewhere down the road.
