Bush's war against Israel - yet another episode

Bush's war against Israel - yet another episode

From Ha'Aretz, 11 August 2003:

The United States on Monday called on Israel, Lebanon and Syria to exercise restraint following recent attacks by Hezbollah guerrillas near the Israel-Lebanon border, in which an Israeli teenager was killed.

U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell conveyed the message in a telephone call to Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom after Israel said it held Syria and Hezbollah patron Iran responsible for attacks by the
Shi'ite group.

At the same time, Bush is sidling up to the Arab terrorists in Yesha. This piece of "good news" was released last week, as AFP reported on August 7:

Bush authorizes PLO to maintain its offices in the United States

US President George W. Bush signed a six-month executive order authorizing the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to maintain its offices in the United States, the White House said here.

To see the original document, link to the White House site.

I hope that Israel's supporters in the US will remember this information when the US presidential elections take place.

It's hot in August.

Sharon, in the Yom Kippur War, showed the wisdom of not blinking, as Golda, Gonen and Bar Lev went about making mistakes.

Why should Assad (or Iran, behind the curtain), pick the time and place for Sharon to let loose another Defensive Shield?

He let that loose in spite of Bush.

What has August got that other months coming don't have? Terrible heat.

The day has not been invented yet where Sharon buckles to any man. Good thing that the bulldozer has patience. Good commanders do that with ease.

D-Day's coming again. You'll see.

Amazing isn't it???? Still, Bushki is regarded by many as a strong force against global terrorism.

As the anniversary of of the attacks on 9-11 approaches, we should all remember that it is Bushki and Co. who have been providing diversions and "plausible-deniability" for the real terror-meisters----in Ramallah and Saudia.

No, Bush is the president. He may not be the problem. The way stuff gets reported surely gets in the way, folks.

If a surgeon needs to operate it's not like in the movies; it takes time.

And, if location, location, location, rings true for real estate; THEN the weather, the weather, the weahter ... and the comfort zones of soldiers should be more at play than the tweaking we're getting out of Iran. Through all the bad buys.

Round up the usual suspects: Arafat, Assad, Mubarak, the 10,000 Saudi Princes ... but for once, not Saddam! He's in a hide-y-hole. And, we're playing whack a mole.

Want to know the trouble with sites that cater to only one side? Most people know that stories have at least two-sides. And, over-simplification by Cliff Notes will never solve world problems.

Be funny if this Bush gets to see history shine a bright light upon him. I neither write him off as incompetent, or not up to the game that's afoot. See, Sherlock, it's like this:

America has enemies that think attacks like Pearl Harbor (or 9/11) will undermine us to the point where we just dissolve, roll over, and play dead.

The arabs are so confused at our democracy, let alone how a naked guy on a wooden cross speaks in such loud volume long after he is definitely dead.

Do you know for how many centuries the arabs have been dreaming this fight? Excuse me, when have they ever really won?

Well, only when out State Department diplomats join a gravy train and sell our birthrights down-river.

You want Bush to solve this overnight?

Sorry. We are in for a long hard fight ahead. It is, after all, what history, too, would reflect, if you just went in search of facts, and looked at a few old books.

Throughout those "centuries" the Caliphate never had an American President so commited to the Islamic cause-----------they do now!
