Insurance Scandal
An American man is suing 14 insurance companies who refuse life insurance to people travelling to Israel.
Allen Estrin, from Los Angeles, brought a lawsuit against the firms after being refused coverage by Banner Life insurance, part of Britain’s Legal and General group, because he visited Israel.
Estrin, a radio producer, said he did not seek financial compensation but instead wanted a court order banning the practice.
Pacific life insurance, Germany’s Allianz AG and New York life insurance were also among those named in the suit.
