About That Cycle of Violence...

About That Cycle of Violence...

There's no such thing.

Palestinian Arab terrorists will continue to kill Israelis wholesale, whatever Israel's degree of response may be. Sharon is in office right now, and it just doesn't get any more hawkish than The Bulldozer. And still, after Sunday's deadly attack on the IDF post in Rafah, all Sharon did was have a bomb-making facility in Gaza blown up with rockets. No one was injured.

Mortars continue to rain down on Jewish communities, even though it's already been settled that they will be leaving. So, this morning, the IDF rolled into Khan Younis to destroy several houses which were being used to fire mortars into Israeli areas. No one was injured.

Where's the cycle of violence? It's one-sided, and you can bet the farm that Palestinian Arab terrorists will be taking care of that side again soon.

In the meantime, Sharon still seems intent on appeasing Israel's hypercritical world audience.

HERZLIYA, Israel - Israel is prepared to withdraw troops from Palestinian areas well ahead of its planned pullout from the Gaza Strip and parts of the West Bank next summer, its defense minister said, signaling that a deadly attack on an Israeli army outpost has not derailed peace efforts.

Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz also told an academic conference in this seaside town that he favors coordinating the Gaza pullout with the Palestinians, a marked departure from initial plans to carry out the plan unilaterally.

In an initial test, he said Israel would withdraw from Palestinian areas for 72 hours during next month's Palestinian presidential elections.

So, the Islamothugs in the territories will have a nice three-day block to take care of business without worrying about being caught.
