BBC in the service of Hamas
BBC in the service of Hamas
If one judges a tree by its fruit, then the British Biased Corporation (BBC) can be classified definitively as Israel's mortal enemy. From time to time, however, one obtains further, and direct proof buried under a mountain of other information.
Such is the case of an article published in al-Ha'aretz, December 15, under the title, "Leading Hamas preacher warns of clash with Islamic Jihad". The article reports a taped speech made by "Fathi Hamad, a member of the Sura Council, the supreme Hamas religious body in Gaza responsible for the the organization's communications system in Gaza...Hamad gave his speech a couple of months ago before a few dozen Hamas activists working in the organization's Communications Councils, whose job is to promote Hamas in the Palestinian, Arab and international press."
Buried under 13 paragraphs, the next paragraph provides the smoking gun:
Hamad says on tape that Hamas man Faiz Abu Smala works for the BBC, "and that way he writes the story in favor of the Islam and Muslims."
Is anyone surprised?
This al-Ha'aretz piece was highlighted by Steven Plaut, which provides me with the opportunity to recommend his website once again.
