President Bush's Menorah

President Bush's Menorah

Aishel has a link to the video of President Bush's lighting the Menorah and the text of his moving speech at the occasion. The Menorah was dedicated in memory of St. Sgt. Noam Apter. Noam Apter was a hero who gave his life to save others. When terrorists broke into the Yeshiva kitchen where he was working, he locked the door, preventing the murderers from entering the dining room. His quick thinking undoubtedly saved many others. Arutz-7 notes his one failing. Noam Apter was a "settler."

"I know that Menorah from the White House. It wuz in my shul that i belong to in Boca Raton, so I know what it looks like! It wuz given in memory of Noam Apter a young man who sacrificed his life 4 Yeshiva students in Israel. Anyway, I just wanted 2 give a little background on where the menorah came from. Have a good night and happy chanukah!"
