Sharon's feet-of-water

Sharon's feet-of-water

Throughout the centuries, Jews have heard that they use the blood of non-Jewish children in their religious rituals, and that their Elders of Zion conspired to control the world. One would have assumed that these two slanders alone would be enough to toughen the skin of the Jewish people to ignore with the appropriate contempt what "the world" thinks.

But it seems that "the world" is succeeding in getting under Israel's skin, and with every passing day, new signs of feet-of-water emerge. The latest is a statement by Israel's assistant attorney-general for international law, Shavit Mathias, as reported by the JPost:

On another subject, Mathias said the government had heeded the recommendation of a committee that she headed warning it could face serious economic sanctions if it did not build the fence as close to the Green Line as possible. The recommendation was in response to the International Court of Justice's ruling on the security fence, which claimed it violated international law by building large sections of the fence on occupied territory.

Mathias told the audience that the government was putting the recommendation into practice regarding those sections of the fence that had not yet been built.

She added that more and more people understand today that Israel must take the UN seriously and not be contemptuous of it.
Former Israeli ambassador to Sweden Zvi Mazel told the audience that the new International Criminal Court has been swept up in the anti-Israeli climate in Europe. He said it had been caused by the lack of Israeli information efforts in Europe as well as European anti-Semitism. According to Mazel, even Israel's disengagement plan is presented in a negative fashion in Europe, while the portrayal of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is completely distorted.

We must double our efforts on behalf of Israel.

That is very sad to hear. I hope that we can somehow support Israel in their time of need. Selah!

Weaker than symbolic feet of water is what passes for Jewish Statesmanship.

There really is no such thing as "international law". Threats of economic sanctions will not evaporate based on rerouting the security wall.

Mathias is a de facto convert. The UN is a roadblock to be dealt with accordingly.

Even a brief mention of the International Criminal Court without mentioning America's antagonistic position to this so-called "court" demonstrates the absence of Jewish Statesmanship.

With the assistance of HaShem, these defectors will soon be replaced.
