January 3, 2002 - President Saddam Hussein simply smiled during the live television show when a man called to praise the Iraqi oppostion leader in the US, Ahmad Chalabi. The Iraqi leader then moved on, offering to find information about a woman's detained son and see why a student didn't get into the graduate program of his choice.
This piece of news is made up, of course, but you only need to change two names to see that the new Iraq is indeed new - thanks to George Bush. Here is the real item, quoted from
