Sheikh Palazzi on Jonathan Polard

Sheikh Palazzi on Jonathan Polard

The following letter from Sheikh Palazzi has been e-mailed by Root and Branch:

Dear friends,

No words about this shame: Jonathan Pollard is denied the official status of Prisoner of Zion. After two decades in prison, he is denied this honor. Who deserves it more than he does?

I am asking you to send Arutz Sheva [feedback@israelnationalnews.com] an email of protest against the decision of the official Prisoners of Zion Authority and to send Jonathan Pollard [Justice4JP@aol.com] an email of solidarity.

Whoever believes, is also asked to pray for his liberation.

Shabbat Shalom from Rome,

Sheikh Professor Abdul Hadi Palazzi
Muslim Co-Chair, R&B Islam-Israel Fellowship;
Secretary General, Italian Muslim Assembly

Shame or political calculation?

What value and what jeopardy is there to route material via Arutz Sheva? Does A7 even list their postal address? Emails are useless. The "cc:", the "copy to" must be snail mailed to key addressees. Otherwise the effort is useless. Again, the effort via email is useless itself.

What is outrageous about the decision by the Prisoners of Zion Authority? The institutional elements of the GOI do not represent Judaism or Zionism. If I am wrong I ask for assistance so I may grasp what's going on.

I echo -- why send A7 a letter?

This country doesn't work ... what can we do?

Shalom Avi,

First, thank you for your support regarding my above comments.

To reply to your question =what can be done?= at this very moment, a few of us are preparing plans and suggested applications to correct the system.

The problem is not the Arabs, EU foreign policy or "corruption" in government. The PROBLEM is that Israel does not have a modern, parliamentary government where citizens participate in the political matters.

I ask you to spend some time at www.FutureIsrael.org . Jerusalem's Prof Paul Eidelberg is leading a program to correct the situation. The program CANNOT be developed in Israel. Israel is too far gone. It must be developed in the diaspora.

As unique as Israel's situation is, it is not that unique! Israel can be saved from falling.

Only in the diaspora can we prepare position papers and suggested routes to take. Emails do not work. An assembly of people who know how to establish political institutions and the related financing is in formation.

Again, please spend some time at www.FutureIsrael.org.

Kol tuv,
BobW
