So let me repeat...

So let me repeat...

The campaign of sowing confusion regarding the Israel-Arab conflict rages all over the 'pages' of AP. Today [2005_01_23], for example, AP suggests:

Palestinians and Israelis moved closer to halting more than four years of bloody violence on Sunday, with the new Palestinian leader saying he had made progress toward a truce deal with militants. Israel pledged for the first time to hold fire if calm prevails.

For the moment, ignore the fact that AP falls into the trap of "Palestinians" - a non-existing national group; forget "four years of bloody violence", which really should read "85 years", counting from the death of Joseph Trumpeldor; and, for the moment, ignore the fact that we are talking about a "truce", which is a new concept even for the Rose Garden Speech (24 June 2002) and the Roadmap. Concentrate for a minute just on this one aspect: "Israel pledged for the first time to hold fire if calm prevails". This is nothing but a unilateral disengagement from reality - giving Arabs something for absolutely nothing. What will this solve other than embolden the terrorists?

Before we continue to examine the other flaws of the AP report, have a look at the photo below, showing Arafat II sitting under the portrait of Arafat I. This photo symblizes one half of the real problem: the Arab leadership's de facto declaration that it has not given up the violent methodology that Arafat I orchestrated. It is as if Adenauer were photographed under a portrait of Adolf. With this half of the problem comes also the fact that the Arabs have not renounced the non-existent right of return, their claim over Jerusalem and their demand for the pre-1967 borders - all parts of the 1974 Phased Plan.

The other half of the problem is that the fundamental right of the Jewish people to sovereignty over the former Mandatory Palestine is not even addressed by these "moves towards peace".

And now, for another nugget from the campaign to lull the World into believing that we are seeing peace in our time (again). The AP article mentioned above states:

Participants in the cease-fire talks have said a document being considered calls for the establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem, the areas Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war.
...

Hassan Yousef, the Hamas leader in the West Bank, said his group wanted assurances from Abbas that he will bring Hamas members into Palestinian Authority positions, including the security forces. The militants also want assurances that Israel will release Palestinian prisoners.

The terrorists are not alone in demanding the release of their fellow-terrorists. Arafat II himself made this demand, as Reuters reports:
[Abas] stressed Israel had "many responsibilities" to carry out for a truce to work, including ending raids to detain wanted militants and releasing Palestinian prisoners.

If the past is any guide to the future, here is the way events will unfold: the lull will continue for a very short while, with only the "occasional Israeli" being murdered. Meantime, Rabin II will release hundreds of Arab terrorists, "with no blood on their hands" (they were caught before they could murder). The US and the EU will flood the Arabs with funds, which will go directly to procuring arms and paying for the training of terrorists. The murder of Jews will escalate. Ultimately, Israel will have to react, facing Arab gangs that are now reinforced, re-organized and re-armed. "The International Community" [TM] will condemn Israel, pointing to this and similar AP reports, indicating that progress was being made, until Israel reacted. And at that point I will pull out IsraPundit's posts from 2002, and the cycle of posting will start afresh.

Let us all hope that I am dead wrong and have to eat my words.

All correct and accurate. You are not dead wrong but on target.

Yet the "problem" is not the AP or the PLO. The "problem" is tracable to those running the GOI.

Israel can be projected to fall soon after the capital infusions mesh with the new Arab state. This new Arab state is scheduled for sovereignty. A sovereign can allow for as much immigration as they want. Of course GOI is partly funding the support systems for this new Arab state.

Sigmund Freud can't handle our collective problem and Franz Kafka refuses.

Once a Jewish government is in place, we approach the invincible.
