Over 100,000 people packed streets leading up to the Knesset on Sunday evening in an anti-disengagement rally, said to be one of the largest demonstrations ever held in the Capital, Israel Radio reported.

A 24-hour rally in Jerusalem for a national referendum on the so-called disengagement began Sunday night with pleasant weather conditions. Hundreds of busses are on the way to the demonstration.

Yesha Rally to Continue Through the Night


The Yesha rally opposite the government complex in Jerusalem will be continuing through the night, culminating on Monday evening. Organizers of the 24-hour event reported earlier tonight that over 200,000 persons were in attendance, calling on the government to take the Gaza Disengagement Plan issue to the people in the form of a national referendum.
