Muslims and the Holocaust

With the upcoming blogburst organized by the indefatigable Joseph Alexander Norland commemorating the Wannsee Conference and the Liberation of Auschwitz in mind it's interesting to note how mainstream Islamic organizations in the UK are commemorating the liberation of Auschwitz:

BRITISH Muslims are to boycott this week’s commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz because they claim it is not racially inclusive and does not commemorate the victims of the Palestinian conflict.

Iqbal Sacranie, secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Britain, has written to Charles Clarke, the home secretary, saying the body will not attend the event unless it includes the “holocaust” of the Palestinian intifada.

In response, Secular Blasphemy (who noted the item above) writes:
This is utterly inexcusable and outragous. The "intifada" has been a terror campaign to kill Jews, often inspired by nazi-like propaganda. Any attempt to link the Israeli defense against this terror, however heavy handed it may have been at times, with the industrial genocide in World War II is so beyond reason that these groups should be summarily cut off from any contact with the government unless they back down and apologise.

This just reminds me of the various (and contradictory) positions we hear about the Holocaust from the Muslim world:
(1) The Holocaust never happened (or is exaggerated as current PA leader Abbas wrote in his doctoral thesis) and these claims engendered the sympathy of the world to create a Jewish state that dispossessed the Palestinians.
(2) The Jews conspired with the Nazis.
(3) The Jews currently are committing a Holocaust against the Palestinians.
There are others, and I don't remember them right now. Must be the aging process.
We don't hear much of Mufti's alliance with Hitler these days.
It's funny how, when a European denies the Holocaust, (e.g. Joerg Haider) he's beyond the pale. But when an Arab does, it's very much taken in stride. (What's worse actually is that when a European denies 15 years of Jewish history he's an antisemite; when an Arab denies 2000 or even 3300+ years of Jewish history, he's a partner for peace.)
