Bevin's heirs protest

From JPost:

UK protests Ma'aleh Adumim fence route

Britain protested to Jerusalem last week over the cabinet's decision to draw Ma'aleh Adumim and its satellite settlements inside the rerouted security fence, British Ambassador Simon McDonald told The Jerusalem Post Monday.

Bevin would have been more blunt; he would have simply stated that Israel's security barrier saves Israeli lives, so it must go.

Did Jerusalem's reply clarify that Ma'aleh Adumim is not a county of Northern Ireland?

Some of the world's nations would not recognize the legitimacy of conferences if the subject nation was degraded. A degradation occurs when conference participants do not maintain diplomatic recognition. Saudi Arabia is still a holdout along with the Arab League.

Perhaps the London conference would be more productive if held in Gibraltar.
