Crime and punishment

Crime and punishment

"Crime and Punishment" is a series of articles that points out the crime of appeasement and the punishment that comes almost immediately in the form of increased Arab terrorsism.

Today [2005_02_03], Arutz 7 posted a series of news stories that demonstrates this point in vivid colours; I reiterate: all the links below were posted in one single day.

The Crime -

THE VERY SAD PART IS, I'LL BET THESE GIVEAWAYS ARE THINGS DEMANDED BY THE USA.

AS I SAY, BE CAREFUL WHO YOU JUMP IN BED WITH.

The other way of looking at this situation is that it is not new. Releasing jailed terrorists is as routine as jailers transporting arrestees to court appearances.

Mofaz and his goodwill reminds me of his initial selection as Chief of Staff. He was selected because he is of Iranian descent; not for his other attributes. This was the impetus for his rise in power politics. I forgot the Ashkanazi general's name who lost to the Mofaz selection (I'd love to know if anyone remembers.). The US can pull off deals like this because of its size and powerful political institutions. Israel can't and is paying for it now.

All this is not about territory or the Arabs. It is about whether Israel is to be a Jewish state or a secular state. "Appeasement" is a charged word no less than "Haredi" (in Israeli politics). Many controlling the levers of political power in Israel's government do not believe in Judaism and thus act accordingly. This is why relinquishing all of Yesha and accepting an internationalized Jerusalem does not provoke intense feelings. After all, the litmus test is whether Israpundit readers have utmost concerns regarding the Taiwan Straits provinces.

What remains of Israel will be divided by Arab territory of the new state. We can see the economic merge of both along with Jordan. It won't work.
