Hate charges won't be laid against Muslim leader

Police will not lay hate charges against a Canadian Islamic leader who said last October that Israelis were legitimate targets of suicide bombers.

Police said the comment by Mohamed Elmasry, president of the Canadian Islamic Congress, was distasteful, but did not constitute a criminal offence.

During a television panel discussion on the Michael Coren Show, Elmasry said any Israeli over the age of 18 was a member of the Israeli armed forces and therefore a legitimate target of force.

Isn't this an example of truth being an affirmative defense? Israelis are designated targets of suicide bombers. Islam's political echelon announced this. It's as clear as PLO policy positions. Is Canada's policy not to prosecute different than Israel's?

Stateside, when the Muhammed-Malvo sniper murderers (2002) got busy with murders, Virginia's Southern Baptists made only one demand on the politicans; get them. Note that overtime was authorized. Note also that all politicans were on notice from a mobilized public. (I was in Israel at the time.)

Canada has ulterior reasons for allowing the criminal to continue his rhetoric.

Is it an Islamic doctrine of compassion that 17 and younger are not designated targets or do suicide bomber mass murderers determine only 18 and above are present?

Too bad we don't have a North American organization to pose the question whether Jews are targets in Manger Square, Bethlehem,Israel.

That heretic infidel cleric should be executed for his insolent hateful murderous. They should throw him in jail and let him rot. Make the heretics pay for their blasphemy.
