PLO thanks Israel for concessions

Following a string of unilateral concession by Israel, the PLO expressed its profound gratitude, especially for relaxing the restrictions imposed on Arab terrorists; JPost repots:

8 Jihad activists arrested in Jenin

Eight Islamic Jihad activists involved in producing and testing Kassam rockets were arrested in Jenin Monday night.

One member of the cell had been banished to the Gaza Strip over a year ago and was permitted to return about a month ago, Israel Radio reported.

The Defense Ministry estimates that he learned how to manufacture and launch Kassams while in Gaza, and upon his return to Jenin, he contacted a terror cell in Jenin.

One of the arrested men, Muhammed Hasin Mahmed Mashkah, was released from detention last month as part of the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian cooperation.

JPost also reports about a second gesture of gratitude from the PLO:

IDF thwarts arms smuggle from Egypt to Gaza

An IDF force from the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade thwarted an attempt to smuggle arms from Egypt to the Gaza strip Tuesday night.

Army Radio reported that a Palestinian carrying a sack of fifty pistols and a rifle was apprehended.

An Israeli security official said Tuesday that Israel has warned the Palestinians that underground tunnels are still being used by militant groups to smuggle arms, despite the ongoing cease-fire.
