1. From Arutz 7:

Arab Attacks in Gaza, Tel Aviv

Enemy forces attacked in several places today. This morning, Arab gunmen opened fire on an IDF position adjacent to Gadid, in the southern Gaza region. IDF soldiers on the Israel-Egypt border, near Rafiach, also came under fire today. In the shooting incidents, there were no injuries reported.

In an attack that has yet to be classified as terrorism, an 18-year-old Arab male from eastern Jerusalem was arrested today on suspicion of having stabbed a 17-year-old Jewish male from Tel Aviv. The attack, in which the victim suffered light injuries, occurred in the vicinity of the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station.

2. Arutz 7 provides the following summary of the Arab terrorist acts over the weekend (23-24 April 2005):

An Israeli soldier was wounded Saturday when an Arab terrorist stabbed him in the neck and snatched his gun. The incident occurred at the entrance to the Jewish town of Ganim in northern Samaria.

Another stabbing attack was attempted near Shechem, also in the Shomron; no one was hurt.

Three Kassam rockets were fired over the Sabbath at Jewish targets. One hit an electric wire north of Gaza near Yad Mordechai, while another landed in the town of N'vei Dekalim in Gush Katif. A third one fell harmlessly in PA-controlled territory.

Terrorists opened fire in two different southern Gaza areas this morning; no one was hurt. Over the weekend, Palestinian terrorists fired at Jewish targets along the Netzarim-Karni route, on the Israeli-Egyptian border, and near Kfar Darom. An anti-tank rocket was fired at an IDF outpost near Ganei Tal. No one was hurt in any of these incidents.

No fewer than four infiltration attempts were thwarted over the weekend in various parts of Gaza. The arrested Arabs were taken for interrogation.

Yesterday [Sunday, 24 April], a major attack was averted in northern Israel. An IDF Golani force near the Lebanese border in the Mt. Dov area noticed a string of bombs, and extricated themselves from the site just minutes before the bombs were detonated.

The army continues to receive warnings of attempted terrorist attacks, and will retain the high alert and closure on the Arab-populated areas of Judea and Samaria until after the holiday, six days from today.

Arab Attacker Escapes in Kalandia

In the Kalandia refugee camp, near Jerusalem, a confrontation between IDF soldiers and resident Arabs broke out today. One of the Arabs involved reportedly attacked a soldier and made his escape in a taxi. The soldiers responded with shots fired in the air. There were no injuries reported in the incident.

4. From Reuters:

Israeli Killed When Run Over by Driver in West Bank

An Israeli was killed after he was run over by a Palestinian driver on Monday at an Israeli army checkpoint in the West Bank, Palestinian witnesses and the Israeli ambulance service said.

The incident was the latest violence to strain a de facto ceasefire, and the death was the first Israeli conflict fatality since five Israelis were killed in a suicide bombing at a Tel Aviv nightclub on Feb. 25.

Palestinian witnesses said the Palestinian driver was shot by Israeli soldiers after he hit the Israeli at the checkpoint near the West Bank city of Hebron.

5. From JPost:

Palestinians fire Kassam, mortar at Gush Katif

Palestinian gunmen fired a Kassam rocket and a mortar shell towards a Jewish settlement in Gush Katif in the Gaza Strip Monday night, Army Radio reported.

No one was wounded and no damage was caused in the attack.
