L'affaire Choudhury
L'affaire Choudhury
IsraPundit has highlighted the case of Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, the Bangladeshi journalist who advocated peace with Israel, several times in the past. Alas, Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury is still incarcerated in Bandladesh.
JPost has just posted two relevant articles: the one is by Dr Richard Benkin, whose articles have been featured in IsraPundit in the past; the second article is by Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury himself, though JPost does not indicate when the article was written.
It is incumbent on us all to help raise awareness of this gross violation of human rights; of course, Hypocrites International and Human Rights Hypocrites have never heard about this case, to the best of my knowledge (a google search has yielded not a single reference, but I stand corrected). In contrast, US Congressman Mark Steven Kirk is active on the case and has an online page on Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury at this site.
The least we can do is raise awareness of the case, contact the Bangladeshi embassies in our respective countries, and, for Illinois residents, contact Congressman Kirk.
