1. IDF - Israel Deportation Forces

Citation from JPost:

Sharon and Defense Minister Mofaz decided that IDF soldiers in their regular army service will have to take part in the evacuation of settlements.

Mofaz, according to Army Radio, said that in light of the reduced time frame of the plan's implementation, army troops will have to man, alongside policemen, the first line of evacuation.

2. GOI resorting to financial terrorism against Yesha patriots

From JPost:

Money transfers to Yesha Council halted

The Interior Ministry has ordered West Bank local and regional councils to halt all money transfers to the Council of Jewish Communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza until the High Court rules on a petition against using local authority money to fight the government disengagement plan.

The letter was written on April 4 by Ruth Yosef, supervisor of Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria at the Interior Ministry, and presented on Wednesday to the High Court of Justice during a hearing on the petition filed by Peace Now.

3. A very hot protest

From JPost:

Burning sofa placed on Jerusalem highway

Suspected far-right activists placed a burning sofa on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway Wednesday morning in ongoing street protests against the planned withdrawal from Gaza, snarling traffic at the entrance to the capital during the morning rush hour, police said.

Firefighters who were summoned to the scene put out the blaze.

Over the last several months, opponents of Prime
Minister Ariel Sharon's Gaza pullout plan have been periodically disrupting traffic nationwide, repeatedly placing rows of burning tires on major state highways.

4. Courting intervention

From Arutz7:

Supreme Court to Hear Petition Against Evacuation/Compensation Law

An 11-justice Supreme Court panel will hear a petition against the Evacuation/Compensation Law filed on behalf of Gush Katif residents.

Attorneys Yossi Fuchs and Yoram Sheftel will represent Gush Katif residents, telling the court the law discriminates against residents of Gush Katif and violates the nation’s Basic Law which protects persons’ fundamental rights.

The petitioners will remind the court the 1982 dismantling of Sinai communities was the result of three years of preparations while in today’s case, there are no communities or homes readied for the Gaza residents who will be ousted from their homes. Residents will be evicted without alterative accommodations, fair compensation, or a solution for the bleak current realities.

Note: "Resistance News" is a daily column devoted to news about the Jewish resistance to Sharon's expulsion and resettlement plan. Let it not be said that IsraPundit observed the ethnic-cleansing of Jews in Yesha and reacted with indifference.
