"The Battle for Jerusalem is On"
"The Battle for Jerusalem is On" is the name of the latest post from OneJerusalem. An excerpt:
In more than one sermon, a Palestinian cleric ― on government-run television ― charged the "Jewish government" with plotting to blow up the Al Aqsa mosque.
Palestinian leaders, including PLO Chairman Abbas, are repeating these charges in one form or another every day.
As the rhetoric heats up, it is now clear that the United States is not taking a stand that will support Israel's right to the undivided city of Jerusalem as its capital.
In a recent interview, the United States Secretary of State described the American position on disputed lands as "open to negotiation" between the parties. She also criticized Israeli actions on the ground.
With Israel on the road to unilaterally pulling back from some territory, the pressure is building to give up on an undivided Jerusalem.
Some people have questioned the usefulness of the new anti-"disengagement" Ring, ENGAGE. The wake-up call from OneJerusalem highlights the significance of opposing the "disengagement" even if it seems that all is lost anyway: Israel will be forced to engage in one "disengagement" after another, and if we don't oppose it now, we may find ourselves having to opposed "disengagement" in Jerusalem and then in Tel Aviv.
And, yes, people were talking about Peace in Our Time even on September 30, 1938.

With a required preface that the government is NOT Jewish, that Arab cleric (Pol Pot and Stalin both studied theology) is not of sound mind or else he is a propagandist. If anything, GOI will fund rehab and enhancements to the Al Aqsa Mosque.
It all distills down to the GOI. The barbarian positions are not that strong. Forty million Christian Zionists do not look forward to Bethlehem becoming a city in the new Arab state. Manger Square's main feature is now a mosque.
Something was "cooking" when the UN gave Tel Aviv some official status re TLV art deco architecture or something.
A powerful Jewish organization is needed. Five hundred small Jewish organizations will not work. I do not have confidence in Edgar Bronfman's petition to the UN General Assembly. I do not think a bus ride to Crawford, Texas will yield results. I do not consider that Arab cleric to be a cleric.
