Terror warnings prompt shutdown of Karni crossing
The IDF shut down the Karni terminal crossing in northern Gaza on Thursday morning due to warnings that terrorists planned to launch an attack at the site.
Similar warnings prompted the closure of the Erez crossing to Palestinian laborers on the eve of Passover and ever since. However, journalists and Palestinian VIPs are able to use the crossing.
3. Another way of thanking Israel for concessions is to escalate the war of words, in which calumny of all categries plays a major role. IMRA reports:
ABBAS ON ISRAELI "WAR CRIMES"
The official Palestinian Authority (PA) media opened their reports
Thursday with a slashing attack on Israel for "deliberately killing" two Palestinian youths yesterday as part of an intentional Israeli plan to bust the Palestinian-Israeli ceasefire.
The Palestinian broadcast media, quoting a spokesman for PA leader
Mahmoud Abbas, said that Israel planned the deaths of 'Uday 'Aasi, 15,
and Jamal 'Aasi, 17 who were killed when attacking fence-building
operations near Beit Liqiyya.
"The two youths were martyred heroically when the Israeli Occupation
Army fired its weapons at them in the village of Beit Liqiyya north west of Ramallah when they opposed Israeli bulldozers building the racist separation fence. Glory and eternity to our immaculate martyrs."
The Palestinian media said that a spokesman for PA president Mahmoud
Abbas condemned the "war crime" as "an intentional escalation which was designed to destroy the 'hudna,' and it will bring forth reactions."
Neither the Palestinian media nor Palestinian officials specified what
"reactions" might be forthcoming.

IDF Discovers Mammoth Smuggling Tunnel
IDF Golani soldiers have uncovered a mammoth tunnel for smuggling along the Philadelphi Route on the Egyptian-Israeli border. The 30-foot deep tunnel extends for several hundred yards and is lined with cement walls.
Defense officials have said that terrorists are building reinforced tunnels for smuggling large arms and groups of terrorists. The Palestinian Authority (PA) has said it is stopping construction of tunnels along the Israel-Egyptian border. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has proposed that Egypt take responsibility for patrolling the area, but the Knesset has declared it will decide whether to allow Egyptian troops at the border.

PA won't disarm 'resistance' groups
The Palestinian Authority has no intention of disarming the Palestinian "resistance" groups, but at the same time is determined to enforce law and order in its areas, Rashid Abu Shabak, commander of the PA Preventative Security Service in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, announced Wednesday.
"The Palestinian Authority won't touch the weapons of the resistance groups, but will take immediate and decisive measures against those who pose as members of the resistance to spread chaos on the streets," he told reporters in Gaza City.
"The Palestinian Authority won't allow any group to take the law into its hands or harm the process of democracy," he added. "The Palestinian security forces are serious in their efforts to enforce law and order within the framework of Palestinian law."
Abu Shabak also warned the armed groups against violating the unofficial truce with Israel. He was referring to threats by Fatah gunmen in the West Bank to resume terrorist attacks against Israel unless the PA leadership solved the problem of all the fugitives who are on Israel's list of wanted terrorists.
Abu Shabak's statements were also seen as a direct warning to Hamas and Islamic Jihad, whose members were responsible for rocket attacks on settlements in the Gaza Strip over the past few days.
