Protestors rally against Ariel univ.

Dozens of activists gathered at the gates of the College of Judea and Samaria in Ariel Wednesday to protest the government's decision this week to upgrade the college to "university" as its official status.

According to an Army Radio report, an undetermined number of students from the college joined the activists in demonstrating against the government's policy. However, a college staff member told The Jerusalem Post that none of the college's own students were involved in the protest.

Under the banner "This is not a university - it is a settlement," activists displayed outrage over the government's move. The demonstration, organized by Courage to Refuse, called upon the government to reverse its decision.
