Saudi Oil and Backing for US Are Contingent on Israeli Concessions
Saudi Oil and Backing for US Are Contingent on Israeli Concessions
This according to a Special DEBKAfile Report
This report has a ring of plausibility. When you review much of what has happened since the Iraq invasion including the appointment of Baker's think tank to lay out a mideast plan, you see that Israel has little room to manoeuver. Everything is decided.
From this it is fair to conclude that the US will continue to treat Assad and Abbas with kid gloves and that Israel will be forced, kicking and screaming, to knee down to oil.
Whenever Saudi Arabia cooperates with America either by agreeing to the invasion of Iraq or to the removal of Syrian troops from Lebanon or to increasing oil production, you know that Israel will be forced to pay the price.
