Another Israeli Breaker Morant
Breaker Morant was an Australian soldier during the Boer War. Regardless of his valour on the battle field, the British authorities sacrificed him for political reasons. (Google "Breaker Morant' to learn more.)
Israel is guilty of multiple Breaker Morants, soldiers sacrificed in order to appease foreign pressure. Entering "morant" in IsraPundit's search engine (Right-hand column, just above the calendar) will list several articles in which I documented this shameful Israeli conduct. Unfortunately, today we learn of yet another Breaker Morant, the IDF soldier Wahid Taysir.

A court convicted a former Israeli soldier of manslaughter Monday in the shooting death of a pro-Palestinian British activist, the first time a soldier has been found guilty of killing a foreign citizen during more than four years of Palestinian-Israeli violence.
Wahid Taysir, a member of the Bedouin Arab minority, was accused of shooting Tom Hurndall in the head during an army operation in the Gaza Strip in April 2003...
The defense argued Taysir's confession was forced. Taysir also said he was prosecuted because he is an Arab and because his victim was a foreigner.
Shame on the State of Israel.
