More on the Bush betrayal
More on the Bush betrayal
I've written a number of times about the unbelievable betrayal of Israel by President Bush. I also commented on how nearly all the traditional friends of Israel kept silent about this, I even mentioned Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily by name. Well, Farah speaks out, and does it well:
President Bush's precedent-setting statement last week that the United States would accept no deviation from the 1949 armistice lines as future borders for Israel without Palestinian Authority approval.
Bush has become an advocate for the Arabs at the expense of the Israelis.
In effect, he has become the best bargaining chip the terrorists of the Middle East have ever had.
Bush has upped the ante from previous demands by the Palestinian Authority. Until last week, the Palestinians had been demanding a return to pre-1967 borders. Now Bush has raised the stakes.
If there were any doubts about what Bush meant, he went even further, re-emphasizing his support for the creation of a Palestinian state.
"A state of scattered territories will not work," he said. "There must also be meaningful linkages between the West Bank and Gaza."
While the idea of linkages between territories sounds reasonable to those not familiar with the geography of the Middle East, Israelis understand it can mean only one thing – cutting Israel in half.
"Bush has become the best bargaining chip the terrorists of the Middle East have ever had". I could not have said it better myself. No US President, not Eisenhower, not Nixon, not even Carter, all sworn enemies of Israel in their heart, were as deceitful and treacherous.
This is the new reality which Sharon and the Israelis must accept, according to Bush – starting over with the indefensible borders the new Jewish state inherited, indefensible borders that led to three major wars and 56 years of unrelenting terrorism from its neighbors.
It's a do-over.
Israel gets to make all of the sacrifices it made to survive all over again. It gets to hope and pray that God delivers the Jewish state to miraculous victories once again. It gets to do all this without a single friend it can count on in the whole world – not even the United States this time around.
Farah's final conclusion here is one I've come to a very long time ago: After reading "
The secret war against the Jews".
Israel always was, is and always will be alone. Once the Jews fully realize and accept this, all the hard choices and courses of action to take become easy, and clear.

George Bush did not betray Israel. Mr. Sharon and the Israeli Government did. For beginners, Mr. Bush is a confirmed Born Again Christian who was devoted to Israel and Israeli causes, that is until Israel decided to give away for free a part of Biblical Israel. This free give-away goes against the grain of all Zionist Christians. As a German, I can assure you that here in Berlin once the announcement was made that Jewish Gaza would be turned over to the Palestinians a sigh of disbelief reigned over the country's evangelical community. The same must be true in the United States. You will notice that ever since the announcement was made, all of the radical elements both in Europe and the USA have been silent towards Israel on most fronts, and the conservative movements have been most vocal. Mr. Bush, being a member of a conservative movement must have felt betrayed by this insane unilateral position undertaken by Mr. Sharon. This betrayel will certainly punish all Israelis as time progresses.

You are thoroughly confused, have it ass-backwards. It was the Americans who cajoled and threatened Sharon into doing this. Sharon however LET HIMSELF be treated this way, there is no excuse for what he did. But do you really believe that he would give up even an inch of land if the only nation on earth that is even ostensibly on their side would not have demanded so?
As for the Conservative Christians, if your kind are the Jews' best friend and ally, they are doomed for certain. From your comment I get the distinct impression that the "punishment" awaiting all Israeli's is something you can't wait for. The fact that you're German may have something to do with this?
