See note at article's end.

The orange background symbolizes my personal solidarity with the Jewish pioneers of Yesha.

1. Resistance action

From JPost:

Right activists locked 150 gov't offices

Police arrested five teenage youths overnight Sunday who were suspected of destroying the locks on the offices of the Disengagement Authority and the Education Ministry, as well as post offices and National Insurance offices.

The locks on the various government offices were filled with super glue in Rishon Letzion, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Bat Yam, Army Radio reported. In Kfar Sava, three post office gates were damaged, and plastered with stickers that read "Jews do not deport Jews."

Police found in the teens' possession materials protesting the disengagement from the Gaza Strip and northern West Bank, Israel Radio reported.

The right-wing activists left notes protesting the disengagement on the 150 governmental offices across the country.

2. Solidarity

JPost reports (short excerpt only):

US solidarity delegation heads to Gaza

Devotion to his voters and his faith is bringing African-American leader and New York state Sen. John Sampson (D-Brooklyn) to Gush Katif on Monday.

He's an unusual traveler. More than a decade ago, riots between African-Americans and Jews erupted in Sampson's district of Crown Heights.

Now he is leaving his daily local political battles to learn about the Jews of Gaza as part of a 120-member delegation led by Jewish Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Borough Park).

It's Hikind's second trip such solidarity trip. In March he brought some 45 New York Jews to Gush Katif. On Monday, he's returning with Jews from five states and a small African-American contingent, as well as eight Baptist ministers.

But while the trip is billed as a solidarity mission, Sampson told The Jerusalem Post that he sees himself on an exploratory mission.
He was first inspired to go after hearing a talk by Gush Katif resident David Hatuel who lost his wife and four children in a terror attack in 2004.

"It peaked my interest," said Sampson, who has a large number of Jewish constituents in his district. "I have no point of view with respect to Gaza."

3. Persecuting the Deportation opponents

From Arutz 7:

Hearing for Disengagement Opponents in Tel Aviv Court This afternoon at 1:00pm, a Tel Aviv District Court hearing is scheduled for seven girls imprisoned almost three weeks for their part in anti-disengagement protests. Some of the arrestees have been held under harsh conditions, including solidarity confinement.

Attorneys of the National Union opposition party and the Hananu organization are petitioning the court in protest over the unjustifiably harsh prison conditions while other protestors were released from jail and were held in more favorable conditions.

The defense team points out that the decision by Petah Tikvah Magistrate’s Court Justice Nirah Diskin, placing harsh restrictions on their release, is exaggerated and should be reversed.
