The price of appeasement
The price of appeasement
Those who warned that Sharon's Deportation Plot will only encourage the Arab terrorists to demand more, more, and yet again more, received further corroboration when Hizbollah issued their latest demand that Israel cede territory in northern Israel. The report, cited by YNet, reads as follows:
‘Israel must cede more land’
Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah says seven villages inside Israel belong to Lebanon; expert says rhetoric comes in framework of terror group’s efforts to avoid disarmament.
Seven Arab villages currently in northern Israel belong to Lebanon and should be ceded, Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah said in an election rally in Lebanon Thursday.
Nasrallah’s demands regarding the villages have been voiced before and mark the latest attempt to deflect growing calls for the Hizbullah to disarm, Arab affairs expert Eyal Zisser told Ynet in response to the report.
The claim that the Hizbullah's demand is an "attempt to deflect growing calls for the Hizbullah to disarm", reminds me of the pre-1973 interpretations of the hostile steps taken by Egypt and Syria. As that horrible experience showed, soothing interpretations do not alter facts. Hizbullah's demands should be taken seriously: they are but one indication of the growing audacity of the Arabs, having sensed that they have Israel on the run.
Will no one stop Israel's rush to suicide?

We must have faith and high tech weapons because a war is coming. The answer is up to Likud and the commanders of the IDF. All reserves must be activated immediately for a pre strike against Hezbullah. Then IDF must fight for Gaza and the West Bank. Damascas
must be struck as well with all our might. The time has come and those who love Israel
must come to the rescue.

The Hizbollah media confrontation is only a manifestation of Israel's problem. Israel has not developed a state of the art media ministry nor a state of the art diplomatic corps. This is because Israel does not have a modern government.
Note that the world was not flooded with material from Israel (and elsewhere) that the Government of Lebanon is subordinated to Hizbollah.
Modern warfare now incorporates hostile propaganda matters. Israel has not developed the governmental apparatus to easily deflect and defeat propaganda efforts. The sad irony is that Israel is supersaturated with experienced talent.
