Abu Omri continues to undermine Israeli democracy

Likud Land of Israel Loyalists Respond to Sharon Allegations

"The attempt of Omri Sharon and Tzachi HaNegbi to sully members of the Likud Central Committee and present them as counterfeiters by way of ordered letters from 44 members of the committee is wretched and pathetic," announced the Land of Israel faithful faction of the Likud Sunday evening.

The Land of Israel activists claim that among other things, the two MKs are concealing the name of the letter-writers. "Those who wrote the letters asking that their names be taken off the list did so because of threats and blackmail regarding their livelihood. These are criminal offenses that it would befit the police to investigate."

The Likud activists stress that there are still more than 610 signers of the petition, more than the 20% (590) of the 2,948 committee members needed to convene the central committee. "HaNegbi is trying every possible trick to push off the contest with Netanyahu," they said, "which will bring the end of the corrupt regime of the Sharon Mafia he has recently become a part of."
