I can tell the difference between criticism of Israel and antisemitism. Anyone who uses classic antisemitic stereotypes is an antisemite. I does not matter if they are referring to Jews in general, Israelis, or even Ariel Sharon. When you start talking about cabals of Zionists then you have crossed the line. It is a pretty clear line. When you accuse someone of being more loyal to Israel than America then you are an antisemite, even if that person is a neo-con. These are all classic antisemitic stereotypes. I just had a conversation with a friend, a captain in the USMC, who just returned from Iraq. I can't exact quote him word for word but in essence this is what he said: Posted by: Ed D on August 18, 2005 03:13 PM
It looks like Cindy's time is coming to an end. Why does she criticize Israel? Remember on 9/11 when all those people claimed Mossad was dancing on the rooftops, filming the event in Bergen Co., NJ? Well, what happened? The story went away. So will Cindy. I am here in the UK and let me tell you, there are anti-Semites over here as well. But soon they will learn. Oh, and yes, they tried to blame 7/7 on Mossad. There was even one of the victims telling people about a bomb under the carriage, as if we cannot all see for ourselves that this was a bunch of Moslems. What are they going to say when the Paris Metro blows up? Mossad? It won't be and anyone who says so will be taught a lesson. This is not funny. If we don't take seriously the Moslem threat, after all the hijackings, and anthrax letters, and tube bombings, when are we going to wake up? What we need to do now is arrest people like Cindy; tighten security measures, and keep conspiracy theorists and fifth columnists out. As to the guy who ran over the crosses, well, look, as they say, it's a free country...he has as much right to self expression as others, or do only left-wing anti-Semites have that right?

This is a response to Rev Bill McGinnis who wrote: "It's not exactly a "cabal," but it is Wolfowitz, Feith, Perle and others working as hard as they can to advance the best interests of Israel from their positions of influence within the Bush administration. (Oh. Sorry. Perle is gone now. Wonder why?) There is only one country in the world which had anything to gain by dumping Saddam, and that one country was Israel. From the time of the first Babylonian captivity until today, the people of Israel have desired to smash Babylon. And now they have succeeded! Iraq lies in ruins and will probably go into civil war; Saddam is gone - no more SCUD missiles into Israel, no more $25,000 checks to suicide-bomber families; and all of this with no expense and no casualties for Israel! Truly amazing. This isn't anti-Semitism, it's accurate, perceptive observation. Two plus two does equal four. Blessings to you. May God help us all. - Rev. Bill McGinnis http://www.loveallpeople.org" Rev Bill Mcginnis, you for sure are an anti-semite. "love all people" my ass. 9/11 and not Israel, was the reason the US went to war against Iraq. As a result of that war the US is putting pressure on Israel to make gratuitous concessions. Some benefits. "From the time of the first Babylonian captivity until today, the people of Israel have desired to smash Babylon." This is utter bullshit. Wolfowitz and aBRAMS ARE BOTH ON RECORD OF DEMANDING ISRAEL ABANDON SETTLEMENTS. Posted by: Ted Belman on August 18, 2005 11:25 PM
Thanks for Belman standing up to another guy with opinions on Israel. Did I not say yesterday that Cindy would be moving on? And, prophetically, she has left Crawford...got too hot for her. She should be going to jail soon too. Along with some of the anti-Semites in the UK. Time to deal with them, and all these strange-smelling conspiracy theorists who are following that Jimmy Walter groove....Let me out one guy, would you believe Jimmy got a guy named Aaronowitz to go along with his strange conspiracy theories? Offered him some money no doubt....Some of us care, some don't. Where is this kid's head? Lesson are to be learned...remember that guy who hacked into the Pentagon? Some Brit kid with a Scotch sounding name? 18 October folks, looks like he will be spending some time in an orange jump suit...f******* Brits are starting to learn. Deal with a few hard and fast and the rest will take note, they're not stupid. Any ideas how to deal with Aaronowitz, who does not think twice about saying Mossad was behind 9/11? Lives in Wimbledon...tennis anyone? Put them in a prison and get the dog leashes...Then and only then can we go after more terrorists. Posted by: David on August 19, 2005 01:16 PM
Maybe there would be less "anti-semitism" if you Jews would stop dragging America into your wars with the Arabs? Posted by: Concerned American on August 19, 2005 02:20 PM
The question is not if Israel supports US war in Iraq. That is undoubtedly positive. More than that, Israel helps the US with good intelligence and supply of weapon systems. The real question is do the Neo cons initiated the war to help Israel cause and national interests and neglected the US global interests – and as far as I know, it's all nonsense and fabrications, made by Anti Israel and Anti Semitic functions in the US, in order to harm Israel and the unique ties between both countries. The decision to go to war against Iraq was made by all bodies concern in protecting the US national security policy, which means a huge number of people who were in duty in various institutions and ministries at the time. Regarding the US economic support to Israel, I think that the best thing for both sides is to put an end to that aid. This is good for Israel economy which is now much better than was in the late sixties. Unfortunately, it's still US interest to support world wide countries on the basis of her global interests. When the US puts money in Israel she expects to have some influence upon her, more than other countries. And it's working that way. I think Israel should renew her offer to continue to lower that economic aid annually in order to terminate it through some years, as she offered in the eighties. But than the US rejected that offer for self interests. Israel can produce herself or buy arms as it needs from any source over the world by her own money. I think the US military industries won't love that idea. Posted by: Dondad on August 19, 2005 04:17 PM
It is not enough that thousands of Jews are forcibly removed from their homes and have their lives destroyed, it is not enough that israel is under attack on all fronts and has barely defensible borders, it is not enough that jews are under constant attack every day Posted by: Ephraim on August 21, 2005 12:43 PM Post a comment |
Cindy Sheehan: Probably Still an Anti-Semite
Rob Port is guest-blogging at Whizbang, and highlights the circus-like atmosphere that's developing around Cindy Sheehan. For all of the PR and media professionals that are supporting the Sheehan spectacle - not to mention the fistfuls of money - her demand for a second meeting with President Bush is developing into an unprofessional, bumbling affair. There was some confusion as to whether Sheehan originally penned the anti-Semitic letter to Nightline claiming that "neo-cons" in PNAC (hint: she means "Jews") started the Iraq War for Israel's benefit. On Anderson Cooper last night, she told listeners that she had nothing to do with the letter. Turns out, that was exactly false:
