Hate-mongers Don't Like Us

We've gotten some questions about where all the anti-Semitic crazies who attacked us for the Cindy Sheehan post came from. Turns out, we've been getting some attention from David Duke:

Well, it finally happened, as I knew it surely would: A pro-Israel publication, Israpundit.com, hauled out that old, misused mudball - "anti-Semite" - and threw it at Cindy Sheehan. Why? For daring to say, truthfully, that Israel was a major factor in starting our idiot war in Iraq. For details, please see the story which is the story entitled "Cindy Sheehan: Anti-Semite"
This Rev. Bill McGinnis is a real winner. He's what we sometimes call "aggressively stupid":
First, recognize that the charge of anti-Semitism is, itself, a vicious "ad hominem" attack. It usually means that the person who accuses you of anti-Semitism is unwilling to conduct a debate on the merits of your ideas, but simply wants to discredit you on the basis of a supposed personality fault in you.
Because it would be so hard to defeat breathless revelations of a dark neocon cabal on its merits. And anti-Semitism is not a supposed personality fault - no matter what people who write for former KKK wizards think, it's an actual personality fault. Finally, how stupid is this:
First, never ignore a charge of anti-Semitism... You must recognize it for what it is, and send it back to the accuser, with a rhetorical bomb in it. My favorite is, "Oh yeah? Well, I heard that your mother eats dirt!" This will rattle your accuser, amuse the audience, and call attention to the the fact that neither accusation should be taken seriously.
For those in the audience not formally trained in forensics, yes, your initial hunch was right - "your mother eats dirt" is indeed an un-compelling answer to "you engage in the kind of scape-goating that gets real people killed for their religious beliefs." But at least we got someone's attention.

It was quite obvious that all of those posts were coming from an organized effort. And what would make anyone believe that posters from david dukes site attacking Israel are motivated by anti-Semitism? We must be paranoid, yea that's it.

Those crazy anti-Semites are so ignorant; just because the Iraq war was orchestrated by publicly self-declared Zionist zealots of the Bush administration, those crazy anti-Semites drag up some ridiculous link between Iraq and Israel. How silly. They will try the same lie when the same Bush hyper-Zionists annihilate Iran as you are slavering for at this very moment. What is it they say about payback? Enjoy your ethnic cleansing of Muslims while it lasts.

Oh great. Another troll.

You know what's really begining to bother me? You can't tell if these lunatics are getting their anti-Iraq/anti-Israel talking points from MoveOn.org or Dfrom avid Duke's homepage. It should concern liberals that these are the people with whom they're rubbing shoulders with.
